Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] This invention relates to a webpage-based shopping guide system and method, and more particularly to a method and apparatus for making webpages interactive to provide smart services. [Previous Technology]
[0002] In today's booming travel scene, numerous online travel information websites post articles written by professional editors on various travel topics to attract users. However, due to the limitations of article-based web services, users can only view articles or copy URLs to share posts, but cannot directly utilize the content for added value, such as itinerary planning. Even though travel platform services can drive traffic through Google SEO or Facebook advertising, the lack of interactivity on article-based web pages still limits user engagement and platform loyalty. While existing travel itinerary planning websites and apps can help users apply, plan, or share travel itineraries, these platforms often focus on features like attraction pins, tracking, or ticket booking information, and cannot be combined with professionally written travel articles.
[0003] In view of the shortcomings of the prior art, the inventor has proposed a simple interactive itinerary planning system tool, enabling general travel information websites to have itinerary planning functions on their article web pages without changing the platform system architecture. This invention has been granted Republic of China Patent No. I852032, entitled: Interactive Itinerary Planning System for Embedding in Web Pages and its Operating Method.
[0004] The inventor has now discovered that web articles can be further made more interactive, intelligent, and informative, allowing users to directly utilize the information in the articles for various processing while reading them. Furthermore, product / service providers can directly use other people's web articles to recommend products / services without interrupting the webpage display. This allows webpage users to accept product / service recommendations and complete transactions smoothly without being disturbed.
[0005] Patent document TWI553572B provides a method for search advertising with hint functionality. The method includes: receiving a search query from a user; identifying a plurality of web pages related to the search query; identifying an advertisement with hint functionality, such that user interaction with the advertisement causes an advertisement hint to appear near the advertisement; generating a search results page, the search results page including at least one link to the identified web pages related to the user's query, and the identified advertisement with hint functionality; receiving an instruction from the user to interact with the advertisement with hint functionality; and displaying the advertisement hint near the advertisement in response to the received instruction regarding the user interaction, wherein if the advertisement hint would interfere with other content on the search results page, the other content on the search results page is moved to accommodate the advertisement hint.
[0006] Patent document US20180033041A1 relates to an enhanced advertisement targeting system. This invention provides an enhanced advertisement targeting system (“EATS”) that provides multiple products, determines keywords related to those products, and identifies multiple entities that can be targeted as advertising products. In some embodiments, the EATS uses semantic analysis techniques and relation strength search to make the selection of advertisements more closely aligned with specific web page content or search keywords. The invention also provides techniques for selecting keywords using semantic analysis methods. [Summary of the Invention]
[0007] The main objective of this invention is to provide a shopping guide system and method for web pages. The mechanism of this invention includes incorporating an interactive intelligent tool into the syntax of article-type web pages, enabling the web page articles to possess shopping guide functionality.
[0008] To achieve the above objectives, the present invention provides a webpage-based shopping guide system, which enables webpages on cross-domain information platforms to provide shopping guide functionality. This allows users to view product and service information while browsing the webpage, and further guides them to make a purchase. The webpage-based shopping guide system of the present invention includes a shopping guide module, a search module, and a product / service database. The shopping guide module is communicatively connected to the search module and the product / service database. The shopping guide module includes a link kit that can be embedded in the syntax of the webpage. When a user browses the webpage, the user sends an interaction request to the shopping guide module, thus establishing an interactive link between the shopping guide module and the webpage. The product / service database stores various and numerous useful keywords, as well as product / service description information corresponding to each keyword. This description information includes product / service codes, descriptive text, transaction conditions, and transaction-related links. After the search module establishes an interactive link between the shopping guide module and the webpage, it extracts the webpage's content, extracts keywords, and compares these keywords with keywords in the product / service database. Upon successful comparison, it provides the shopping guide module with the comparison results and corresponding product / service information. Based on the search module's comparison results, the shopping guide module creates a floating shopping guide unit at a selected location on the webpage to display the corresponding product / service information for the user to view. The shopping guide module also creates a shopping guide button within this floating shopping guide unit. When the user presses this button, the module links the user's computer to the corresponding transaction URL for the product / service to complete the purchase.
[0009] The webpage shopping guide system of the present invention can be provided on a server computer to provide a user graphical interface or other form of user interface displayed on the display device of the user computer when the user connects to the server computer, facilitating the user's operation. As mentioned above, the shopping guide module includes a link kit. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the shopping guide module can provide a representative graphic of the link kit in the user interface, allowing the user to embed the link kit into the syntax of the webpage displayed on the user computer's display device through specified operations.
[0010] The linking suite can send an interaction request to the shopping guide module, enabling the shopping guide module to form an interactive link with the webpage. This allows the search module to retrieve and process the content of the webpage. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the product / service database provides information to define the correspondence between multiple keywords and specific products / services or multiple specific products / services. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the product / service database contains product / service description information including descriptive text describing the content, characteristics, advantages, etc., of the corresponding product / service, as well as purchase-related descriptive text. When the search module identifies useful keywords in the text contained on the webpage, the shopping guide module opens a floating shopping guide unit on the displayed webpage to display all or part of the product / service description information, thereby inducing the user to have a purchase intention and further operate the user's computer to make a purchase.
[0011] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the shopping guide module is configured such that when multiple keywords are successfully matched on the webpage, the user moves the cursor to the display position of one of the keywords or clicks on the keyword with the cursor, and a floating shopping guide unit is activated on the displayed webpage. The floating shopping guide unit displays product / service description information or a portion thereof corresponding to the keyword. The display form and position of the floating shopping guide unit are not limited. In some embodiments, the floating shopping guide unit is displayed in a reduced-size column near the keyword. In other embodiments, the floating shopping guide unit is embedded within the article webpage and presented in a form with the same width as the webpage. In this regard, "floating" refers to a shopping guide unit whose content can be presented or hidden according to the cursor position, rather than emphasizing that the shopping guide unit floats on the webpage rather than being embedded in the webpage.
[0012] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the shopping guide module establishes a shopping guide key in the floating shopping guide unit. When the user operates the shopping guide key, the computer operated by the user is linked to the transaction URL corresponding to the product / service to complete the purchase of the product / service. In this type of embodiment, the floating shopping guide unit may only contain the shopping guide key (e.g., a "Buy Now" button) without any other content or with only a few other contents. In addition, the shopping guide key may also be presented in the form of a hyperlink (e.g., a shopping guide hyperlink). In other embodiments of the present invention, the shopping guide module establishes a hyperlink key in the floating shopping guide unit. When the user operates the floating shopping guide unit, the computer operated by the user is linked to the corresponding application server URL, the application is opened, and the application is operated based on the keyword. The application may be a search software, map software, artificial intelligence dialogue software, online mall, shopping website, news website, database application, etc. In this type of embodiment, the shopping guide module is configured to enter corresponding keywords into the application's input field when the application is operated, thereby launching the application with those keywords. Furthermore, in this embodiment, at least some of the keywords may have labels containing text describing the application or links to open the application, facilitating the user to open and execute the application corresponding to each keyword.
[0013] In addition, the present invention also provides a method for making web pages more like shopping guides, which adds shopping guide functions to cross-domain article web pages so that users can directly purchase goods / services related to the keywords contained in the article content while reading the article web page. The method includes the following steps: embedding a link kit into the syntax of the article web page to form an interactive link between the article web page and the web page's shopping guide system; extracting and segmenting the data of the article web page to obtain a majority of keywords; comparing the keywords with keywords in a product / service database; providing a floating shopping guide unit at the location of the successfully matched keyword in the article web page; and displaying product / service information corresponding to the keyword for the user to view when the user operates the floating shopping guide unit. The method may further include the following step: when the user operates the floating shopping guide unit, linking the computer operated by the user to the transaction URL corresponding to the product / service to complete the purchase of the product / service.
[0014] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the method further includes the following steps: when a majority of keywords are successfully matched on the webpage, the user moves the cursor to one of the keyword display positions or clicks on the keyword position, opens a floating shopping guide unit on the display webpage, and displays product / service description information or a part thereof corresponding to the keyword in the floating shopping guide unit.
[0015] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the method includes or further includes the following steps: when a user operates the floating shopping guide unit 101, the user's computer is connected to the corresponding application server URL, the application is opened, and the application is operated based on the keyword. The application may be a search software, map software, artificial intelligence dialogue software, online mall, shopping website, news website, database application, etc. In such embodiments, the shopping guide module is also configured to fill the corresponding keyword into the input field of the application when operating the application, and start the operation of the application with the keyword.
[0016] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the search module may also be configured to: after a successful comparison, highlight the positions of each successfully matched keyword. The color of the highlight is not limited; it can be any color. The display method is also not limited, for example, flashing. Furthermore, the search module may also be configured to: when multiple keywords are successfully matched, further aggregate the same keywords to form at least one keyword group and sort them according to their repetition rate, and determine that the keyword is successfully matched only when the repetition rate of the keyword group is greater than a preset value. The search module may also be configured to: only display the keywords that are located in a specific position on the article webpage, such as one of the first positions of the article, as successfully matched keywords.
[0017] This invention embeds a link kit into the syntax of cross-domain article web pages to achieve interactive links with those article web pages. Even if the server of the article web page and the shopping guide system of the web page are not connected, or lack the necessary information for linking, the link kit can still be embedded in each article web page when the user loads it to achieve the purpose of shopping guide using the information contained in the article web page. In this invention, the shopping guide is not limited to shopping; other applications can also be implemented using this invention.
Implementation Method
[0018] To enable those skilled in the art to clearly understand the content of this invention, several preferred embodiments of the webpage shopping guide system and method of this invention are described with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, it should be understood that the description of the preferred embodiments is intended to help the reader understand this invention and is not intended to limit the scope of this invention.
[0019] Please refer to Figure 1. Figure 1 shows a block diagram of a preferred embodiment of the webpage shopping guide system of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the preferred embodiment of the webpage shopping guide system 1 of the present invention includes a shopping guide module 10, a search module 11, and a product / service database 12. The webpage shopping guide system 1 is used to enable any article webpage to have shopping guide capabilities. Even if the platform 2 or the server 3 to which the article webpage 20 belongs is not connected to the webpage shopping guide system 1, and lacks the necessary information for connection, each article webpage can still embed a link kit when the user loads it to achieve the purpose of shopping guide using the information contained in the article webpage. The figure shows that the article webpage 20 belongs to the article webpage platform 2 and is provided on the terminal server 3. When the user's computer makes a request, it can be displayed on the user's computer monitor. The shopping guide module 10 is telecommunication-connected to the search module 11 and the product / service database 12 and can provide a link kit 100 for embedding in the syntax of the article webpage 20.
[0020] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the shopping guide module can provide a representative graphic of the link kit on the user interface, allowing the user to embed the link kit into the syntax of the webpage displayed on the user's computer display device through specified operations. In other applications, the link kit can be pre-embedded in relevant webpages as a default setting. For example, the article webpage platform 2 may be built on the same server as the webpage's shopping guide system 1, and configured to pre-embed the link kit 100 in all webpage articles. Other methods that can pre-embed the link kit in the syntax of cross-platform article webpages or in other types of linking methods can also be applied to the present invention.
[0021] Regarding embedding, embedding is a well-known programming method or tool, and those skilled in the art can understand its various feasible approaches. For example, script tags or iframe tags can be used to embed into the syntax of the article webpage 20, thereby creating an interactive link between the interactive trip planning system 1 and the article webpage 20. For example, the following code: <script type="text / javascript" src="https: / / www.funliday.com / sdk / 0.0.4 / fPlannerTool.bundle.js">< / script> Other program modules can also be used in this invention, as long as they enable the search module 11 to link to the article webpage 20 through the shopping guide module 10. In other words, the shopping guide system 1 and the article webpage platform 2 are linked and interact through the link kit 100, but there is still no direct connection between the servers to which the shopping guide system 1 and the article webpage platform 2 belong.
[0022] The product / service database 12 stores a variety of useful keywords, as well as product / service description information corresponding to each keyword. This description information includes product / service codes, descriptive text, transaction conditions, and transaction-related links. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the keywords stored in the product / service database 12 may be accompanied by multiple tags to indicate the characteristics of the keyword or the corresponding product / service or consumption purpose. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the main function of the product / service database 12 is to provide the relationship between specific keywords and their corresponding products / services. The relationship between the two may also be represented by weights. In addition, the product / service description information contained in the product / service database 12 includes descriptive text that describes the content, characteristics, advantages, etc., of the corresponding product / service in a way that stimulates consumption. This product / service description information must also include purchase-related descriptive text, such as advertising text. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the purchase-related descriptive text also includes links to purchase websites and hyperlink functionality.
[0023] Regarding keyword extraction, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the search module 11 can be configured to extract the content of the article webpage 20 after the link suite 100 sends a link request to the shopping guide module 10 and a link is established. The words contained therein are then extracted as the result of keyword extraction. However, other methods for identifying shopping guide-related keywords from article webpages can also be applied to the present invention. For example, comparing the content of the article webpage with a dictionary built using artificial intelligence, and extracting words that match highly common vocabulary as keywords, is also feasible. This keyword recognition technology is a mature technology, and its details will not be elaborated further.
[0024] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the search module 11 first extracts keywords from the article webpage 20, and then compares them with keywords in the product / service database 12 to obtain keywords for which corresponding product / service description information is stored in the product / service database 12. However, in other embodiments, the search module 11 may also directly compare the content of the article webpage 20 with the keywords contained in the keyword field of the product / service database 12 to obtain the result.
[0025] The following describes the steps of the webpage shopping guide system 1 and the steps of the shopping guide method according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. Figure 2 shows a flowchart of the webpage shopping guide method of the present invention. As shown in the figure, in the process of shopping guideing an article webpage 20 that has no connection, in step S10, the link kit 100 is embedded into the syntax of the article webpage 20, so that the shopping guide module 10 and the article webpage 20 form an interactive link. In this way, the webpage shopping guide system 1 can retrieve the content data of the article webpage 20 without directly establishing a connection with the terminal server 3. In step S11, the search module 11 retrieves the keywords contained in the content data of the article webpage 20, and compares them with the keywords in the product / service database 12 in step S12 to generate keywords that have been successfully matched.
[0026] In step S13, the shopping guide module 10 provides a floating shopping guide unit 101 in the article webpage 20. The display form and position of the floating shopping guide unit 101 are not limited. In some embodiments, the floating shopping guide unit 101 is displayed as a reduced-size column near the successfully matched keyword. In other embodiments, the floating shopping guide unit 101 is embedded within the article webpage, presented with the same width as the webpage. In this context, "floating" refers to a shopping guide unit whose content can be presented or hidden depending on the cursor position, rather than emphasizing that the shopping guide unit floats on the webpage rather than being embedded within it. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the floating shopping guide unit 101 is a window, or it can be a paragraph embedded in an article. If it is a window, explanatory text, graphics, animations, and various operation buttons can be displayed in the window. If it is an article paragraph, similar content and buttons can also be provided. Figure 3 shows a travel article webpage according to an embodiment of the present invention. The diagram shows that after embedding the link kit 100 into the syntax of the article webpage 20, the article webpage 20 forms an interactive link with the shopping guide module 10 of this invention. The search module 11 extracts keywords contained in the content of the article webpage 20 and successfully matches the keyword "Nachi Falls". The keyword is marked with an underline. The shopping guide module 10 provides a floating shopping guide unit 101 in the article webpage 20. In this embodiment, the floating shopping guide unit 101 is "Purchase Related Itineraries" displayed immediately after the keyword. The floating shopping guide unit 101 is displayed in a special font and provides a hyperlink. After the user clicks on it, the user's computer is linked to a website to purchase "Nachi Falls" travel itineraries. The advantage of this type of floating shopping guide unit 101 is that it does not affect reading, so it is less likely to cause reader dissatisfaction.
[0027] Figure 4 shows another preferred embodiment of the webpage after the webpage has been optimized for shopping guides according to the present invention. In this embodiment, the floating shopping guide unit 101 forms a floating window, directly providing a purchase button. Two floating shopping guide units 101 are already displayed on the webpage, each displaying descriptions of different travel itineraries in a reduced floating column. This is in the form of a pop-up window. Figure 5 shows another preferred embodiment of the webpage after the webpage has been optimized for shopping guides according to the present invention. Two floating shopping guide units 101 are already displayed on the webpage, presented in an embedded form.
[0028] In step S15, when the shopping guide module 10 determines that the user is operating the floating shopping guide unit 101, it displays product / service information corresponding to the keyword for the user to view. The floating shopping guide unit 101 displays advertisements for specific products / services, as well as hyperlinks to purchasing websites. The advertisement text and hyperlinks are preferably part of the product / service description information stored in the product / service database 12. The displayed content can be set by the shopping guide module 10 and extracted from the product / service database 12 for use.
[0029] The webpage-based shopping guide method of the present invention may further include step S16: when the user's operation of the floating shopping guide unit 101 is detected, the computer operated by the user is linked to the transaction URL corresponding to the product / service to complete the purchase of the product / service. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the operation may include moving the cursor within the range of the floating shopping guide unit 101, pressing a preset button, selecting an icon on the graphical interface, voice operation, action operation, etc. Figure 6 shows a schematic diagram of a floating shopping guide unit 101 applicable to the present invention. The figure shows that the floating shopping guide unit 101 provides two buttons, namely "Purchase Schedule" and "Save Schedule". After the user presses them, the user's computer can be guided to the schedule transaction website or to the application for saving the schedule, respectively. As for the method of linking the user's computer to the transaction URL corresponding to the product / service to complete the purchase of the product / service, experts in the industry can use various commercially available online transaction tools and modify them appropriately. The technical details should not be described here.
[0030] Furthermore, in the embodiments shown in Figures 3 and 4, the floating shopping guide unit 101 provides not only a travel itinerary purchase button but also an "Add to Wishlist" button. After pressing this button, the user can add the keyword to their personal wishlist. For example, when products / services on the wishlist are on special offer, the user can be notified of a link to purchase them.
[0031] In other preferred embodiments of the present invention, the shopping guide module 10 is configured such that when a user loads the article webpage 20 using a computer device, the linking suite 100 automatically performs an initialization operation to establish a link between the article webpage 20 and the shopping guide system of the webpage. Furthermore, the search module 11 can also be configured to: retrieve data from the article webpage 20, such as a Dom Tree (Document Object Model), and compare it using keywords in the product / service name field of the product / service database 12. In addition, the shopping guide method for webpages of the present invention may also include the following steps, see Figure 2: Step S14, when a majority of keywords are successfully compared on the webpage, it is detected that the user moves the cursor to one of the keyword display positions, or clicks the keyword with the cursor, and then a floating shopping guide unit 101 is opened on the displayed webpage, and product / service description information or a portion thereof corresponding to the keyword is displayed in the floating shopping guide unit 101. There are several ways to provide this functionality. For example, on a personal computer or laptop, the floating shopping guide unit can be activated upon detecting a "mouse over" event. In a web environment on a mobile device, the user can click to activate the floating shopping guide unit. In this embodiment, when the user moves the cursor to another successfully matched keyword, the shopping guide module 10 displays the floating shopping guide unit 101 at that keyword location, displaying different corresponding descriptive content. Needless to say.
[0032] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the search module 11 may also be configured to: after a successful comparison, highlight the positions of each successfully matched keyword. The color of the highlight is not limited; it can be any color. The display method is also not limited, for example, flashing. Furthermore, the search module 11 may also be configured to: when a plurality of keywords are successfully matched, further aggregate the same keywords to form at least one keyword group and sort them according to their repetition rate, and determine that the keyword is successfully matched only when the repetition rate of the keyword group is greater than a preset value. The search module 11 may also be configured to: only display the keywords that are located in a specific position on the article webpage 20, such as one of the first positions in the article, as successfully matched keywords.
[0033] Although most preferred embodiments of the present invention involve making article web pages into shopping guides, that is, literally interpreted as facilitating the purchase of specific goods / services, the shopping guide system and method of the present invention can also be applied to purchasing behaviors that are not directly related to the purchase of goods / services themselves. Please continue to refer to Figure 2. In these preferred embodiments, the method may include step S17 after step S15 or S16: when the user operates the floating shopping guide unit 101, the computer operated by the user is connected to the corresponding application server URL, the application is opened, and the application is operated based on the keyword. The application may be a search software, map software, artificial intelligence dialogue software, online mall, shopping website, news website, database application, etc. In such embodiments, the shopping guide module is also configured to fill the corresponding keyword into the input field of the application when operating the application, and start the operation of the application with the keyword.
[0034] For example, when a user wishes to search for keywords in a specific article webpage using the shopping guide system of this invention, after the search module 11 completes the keyword comparison, the floating shopping guide unit 101 displayed near each keyword in the shopping guide module 10 may not only display relevant descriptions of the keyword, but also display applications that may be applicable to the keyword, for the user to choose from. If the user selects a specific artificial intelligence dialogue software, the shopping guide module 10 will open the selected application and fill in the keyword in the search field to perform the specified search.
[0035] To achieve the above objectives, in this preferred embodiment, the shopping guide module 10 establishes a hyperlink key 102 in the floating shopping guide unit 101. When a user operates the floating shopping guide unit 101, the user's computer is linked to the corresponding application server URL, the application is opened, and the application is operated based on the keyword. In this embodiment, at least some of the keywords may have tags that include text describing the application or links to open the application, so as to facilitate the user to open and execute the application corresponding to each keyword.
[0036] The above description is of the preferred embodiments of the present invention and is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. All equivalent changes and modifications made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention should be covered within the patent scope of the present invention.
