Abstract

An illumination-based barcode reading system includes a light-emitting device emitting an optical encoding signal to an encoding area. The system reads the optical encoding signal and includes an image module, a positioning module, and a processing module. The image module captures an image of the encoding area and parses it to generate encoded data. The positioning module obtains positioning data based on the position of the illumination-based barcode reading system. The processing module outputs data corresponding to the encoded data and the positioning data.
