Method and system for SKU demand forecasting

Abstract

According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the SKU demand forecasting method is executed by a computing system and includes the following steps: analyzing time series data for a predetermined specific period to obtain first data related to the demand for each time interval of a first SKU (stock keeping unit), and second data related to the demand for the first SKU at each FC (fulfillment center); evaluating the reliability of the first data and the second data; and, based on the reliability evaluation result, determining third data that integrates the first data and the second data. The demand for the first SKU is then forecasted based on the third data, wherein the forecasted demand includes demand occurring under unsellable conditions of the first SKU, the unsellable conditions including an out-of-stock (OOS) status.
