Abstract

Embodiments provide a memory system having a write buffer with a larger size for the amount of electrical energy the power storage device is able to store. A memory controller stores first write data in a first memory in response to a first write command from a host. The memory controller transmits a completion response to the first write command to the host in response to storing the first write data in the first memory, if a first size, which is a total size of all sizes of the write data set in a first state stored in the first memory and a size of the first write data, is less than a first threshold value. If the first size is greater than the first threshold value, the memory controller transmits a completion response to the host as the first size is less than the first threshold value.
