Implementation Method
[0006] Some embodiments of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Component symbols used in the following description are considered to be the same or similar components when they appear in different drawings. These embodiments are only a part of the present invention and do not disclose all possible implementations of the invention. More precisely, these embodiments are merely examples within the scope of the patent application of the present invention.
[0007] Please refer to Figure 1, which is a schematic diagram of a regenerative power supply device according to an embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the power supply device 100 includes a first battery 110, a second battery 120, a regenerative power generation circuit 130, an output circuit 140, and a power management circuit 150. The first battery 110 provides first battery power PB1. The second battery 120 provides second battery power PB2. The regenerative power generation circuit 130 generates regenerative power PR.
[0008] The power management circuit 150 is coupled to the first battery 110, the second battery 120, the regenerative power generation circuit 130, and the output circuit 140. The power management circuit 150 generates a first charging factor FX based on the first residual charge N1 of the first battery 110, and generates a second charging factor FY based on the second residual charge N2 of the second battery 120. The power management circuit 150 generates a first charging ratio RC1 and a second charging ratio RC2 based on the first charging factor FX and the second charging factor FY.
[0009] In this embodiment, the first residual charge N1 can be the current state of charge (SOC) of the first battery 110. The second residual charge N2 can be the current state of charge of the second battery 120. Therefore, the power management circuit 150 can calculate the first charging ratio RC1 and the second charging ratio RC2 based on the current state of charge of the first battery 110 and the current state of charge of the second battery 120.
[0010] In the power supply mode, the power management circuit 150 controls the output circuit 140 to generate an output power source PO using at least one of the first battery power source PB1, the second battery power source PB2, and the regenerated power source PR, and uses the output power source PO to supply power. Furthermore, in the battery charging mode, the power management circuit 150 charges the first battery 110 according to a first charging ratio RC1, and charges the second battery 120 according to a second charging ratio RC2.
[0011] It is worth mentioning that the power supply device 100 includes a first battery 110, a second battery 120, and a regenerative energy generation circuit 130. Therefore, the power supply device 100 is a power supply device with multiple power sources. The power management circuit 150 controls the output circuit 140 to supply power using at least one of the first battery energy PB1, the second battery energy PB2, and the regenerative energy PR. In this way, the power supply range of the power supply device 100 can be improved. In addition, the power management circuit 150 can generate a first charging ratio RC1 and a second charging ratio RC2 based on the first residual charge N1 of the first battery 110 and the second residual charge N2 of the second battery 120. The power management circuit 150 charges the first battery 110 according to the first charging ratio RC1 and charges the second battery 120 according to the second charging ratio RC2. In this way, the power supply device 100 provides a charging distribution mechanism.
[0012] In this embodiment, the power management circuit 150 is, for example, a central processing unit (CPU), or other programmable general-purpose or special-purpose microprocessor, digital signal processor (DSP), programmable controller, application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), programmable logic device (PLD) or other similar device or combination of these devices.
[0013] In this embodiment, the power management circuit 150 can use a sensing circuit (not shown) to sense the first residual power N1 and the second residual power N2.
[0014] In this embodiment, the power management circuit 150 generates a first charging factor FX based on the difference between the first target charge T1 and the first residual charge N1, and generates a second charging factor FY based on the difference between the second target charge T2 and the second residual charge N2. The first target charge T1 is the final charge charge of the first battery 110. The second target charge T2 is the final charge charge of the second battery 120. For example, the final charge charge is equal to 95% or 100% SOC. For example, the power management circuit 150 can obtain the first charging factor FX according to formula (1) and the second charging factor FY according to formula (2).
[0015] …Formula (1)
[0016] …Formula (2)
[0017] In this embodiment, Q1 is a parameter of the first battery 110. Q2 is a parameter of the second battery 120. For example, Q1 may be a weight of the first battery 110 or a set capacity of the first battery 110, but the present invention is not limited thereto. Q2 may be a weight of the second battery 120 or a set capacity of the second battery 120, but the present invention is not limited thereto. Based on formula (1), the power management circuit 150 can multiply the parameter of the first battery 110 by the difference between the first target capacity T1 and the first residual capacity N1 to generate a first charging factor FX. Based on formula (2), the power management circuit 150 can multiply the parameter of the second battery 120 by the difference between the second target capacity T2 and the second residual capacity N2 to generate a second charging factor FY.
[0018] In this embodiment, the power management circuit 150 sums the first charging factor FX and the second charging factor FY to generate a summed value (i.e., FX + FY). The power management circuit 150 divides the first charging factor FX by the summed value to generate a first charging ratio RC1, and divides the second charging factor FY by the summed value to generate a second charging ratio RC2. The power management circuit 150 can generate the first charging ratio RC1 according to formula (3) and generate the second charging ratio RC2 according to formula (4).
[0019] …Formula (3)
[0020] …Formula (4)
[0021] In the battery charging mode, the power management circuit 150 can receive mains power PG from the external power grid. The power management circuit 150 multiplies the mains power PG by a first charging ratio RC1 to obtain a first charging power PC1, and uses the first charging power PC1 to charge the first battery 110. The power management circuit 150 multiplies the mains power PG by a second charging ratio RC2 to obtain a second charging power PC2, and uses the second charging power PC2 to charge the second battery 120. The power management circuit 150 obtains the first charging power PC1 for charging the first battery 110 according to formula (5), for example, and obtains the second charging power PC2 for charging the second battery 120 according to formula (6).
[0022] …Formula (5)
[0023] …Formula (6)
[0024] In this embodiment, when the first residual charge N1 is lower than the first target charge T1, the first charging factor FX is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 1. When the first residual charge N1 is higher than or equal to the first target charge T1, the first charging factor FX is equal to 0. That is, when the first residual charge N1 is lower than the first target charge T1, the first battery 110 can be charged according to the first charging ratio RC1. When the first residual charge N1 is higher than or equal to the first target charge T1, the first battery 110 will not be charged. When the second residual charge N2 is lower than the second target charge T2, the second charging factor FY is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 1. When the second residual charge N2 is higher than or equal to the second target charge T2, the second charging factor FY is equal to 0. That is, when the second residual charge N2 is higher than or equal to the second target charge T2, the second battery 120 can be charged according to the second charging ratio RC2. When the second residual charge N2 is higher than or equal to the second target charge T2, the second battery 120 will not be charged.
[0025] In this embodiment, the power management circuit 150 generates a first discharge factor FA based on the first residual charge N1 and a second discharge factor FB based on the second residual charge N2. The power management circuit 150 generates a first discharge ratio RD1 and a second discharge ratio RD2 based on the first discharge factor FA and the second discharge factor FB. In the power supply mode, the power management circuit 150 supplies power to the output circuit 140 using at least one of the first battery power PB1, the second battery power PB2, and the regenerated power PR based on the first discharge ratio RD2 and the second discharge ratio RD2.
[0026] In this embodiment, the power management circuit 150 generates a first discharge factor FA based on the difference between the first residual charge N1 and the first set low charge L1, and generates a second discharge factor FB based on the difference between the second residual charge N2 and the second set low charge L2. The first set low charge L1 is the minimum dischargeable charge of the first battery 110. The second set low charge L2 is the minimum dischargeable charge of the second battery 120. For example, the minimum dischargeable charge is equal to 50% SOC. For example, the power management circuit 150 can obtain the first discharge factor FA according to formula (7) and the second discharge factor FB according to formula (8).
[0027] …Formula (7)
[0028] …Formula (8)
[0029] Based on formula (7), the power management circuit 150 can generate a first discharge factor FA by multiplying the parameters of the first battery 110 by the difference between the first residual charge N1 and the first set low charge L1. Based on formula (8), the power management circuit 150 can generate a second discharge factor FB by multiplying the parameters of the second battery 120 by the difference between the second residual charge N2 and the second set low charge L2.
[0030] The power management circuit 150 sums the first discharge factor FA and the second discharge factor FB to generate a summed value (i.e., FA + FB). The power management circuit 150 divides the first discharge factor FA by the summed value to generate a first discharge ratio RD1, and divides the second discharge factor FB by the summed value to generate a second discharge ratio RD2. The power management circuit 150 can generate the first discharge ratio RD1 according to formula (9) and generate the second discharge ratio RD2 according to formula (10).
[0031] …Formula (9)
[0032] …Formula (10)
[0033] In this embodiment, when the first residual charge N1 is higher than or equal to the first set low charge L1, the first discharge factor FA is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 1. When the first residual charge N1 is lower than the first set low charge L1, the first discharge factor FA is equal to 0. That is, in the power supply mode, when the first residual charge N1 is higher than or equal to the first set low charge L1, the first battery 110 can provide first battery power PB1 according to the first discharge ratio RD1. When the first residual charge N1 is lower than the first set low charge L1, the first battery 110 will not provide first battery power PB1. When the second residual charge N2 is higher than or equal to the second set low charge L2, the second discharge factor FB is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 1. When the second residual charge N2 is lower than the second set low charge L2, the second discharge factor FB is equal to 0. That is, in the power supply mode, when the second residual charge N2 is higher than or equal to the second set low charge L2, the second battery 120 can provide second battery power PB2 according to the second discharge ratio RD2. When the second residual charge N2 is lower than the second set low charge L2, the second battery 120 will not provide the second battery power PB2.
[0034] In this embodiment, the output circuit 140 includes a power bus DBUS and a switching circuit 141. The power bus DBUS is coupled to the first battery 110, the second battery 120, and the regenerative energy generation circuit 130. The power bus DBUS receives at least one of the first battery energy PB1, the second battery energy PB2, and the regenerative energy PR. The power of the output power PO is approximately equal to the sum of the power of the energy received by the power bus DBUS. In the power supply mode, the switching circuit 141 is turned on. Therefore, the output power PO is output. In the battery charging mode, the switching circuit 141 is turned off. Therefore, the output power PO is not output.
[0035] In this embodiment, the battery characteristics of the first battery 110 are different from those of the second battery 120. For example, the energy density of the first battery 110 is higher than that of the second battery 120. The charge / discharge rate of the second battery 120 is higher than that of the first battery 110. For example, the first battery 110 is implemented using a lithium-ion battery, and the second battery 120 is implemented using an aluminum-ion battery.
[0036] Please refer to Figures 1, 2A, 2B, and 2C. Figures 2A, 2B, and 2C are operation flowcharts of a regenerative power supply device according to an embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the operation flow includes steps S101 to S122. In step S101, the power management circuit 150 receives the mode of the power supply device 100, and in step S102, determines whether the power supply device 100 is in battery charging mode. When the power supply device 100 is in battery charging mode, the power management circuit 150 charges the first battery 110 according to the first charging ratio RC1, and charges the second battery 120 according to the second charging ratio RC2.
[0037] In step S103, the power management circuit 150 determines the first residual power N1 and the second residual power N2. When the first residual power N1 is lower than the first target power T1 and the second residual power N2 is lower than the second target power T2 (i.e., "yes"), in step S104, the power management circuit 150 multiplies the mains power PG by the first charging ratio RC1 to obtain the first charging power PC1, and multiplies the mains power PG by the second charging ratio RC2 to obtain the second charging power PC2. In step S104, the power management circuit 150 controls the first battery 110 to be charged using the first charging power PC1. The power management circuit 150 controls the second battery 120 to be charged using the second charging power PC2.
[0038] In step S103, when the judgment result is "no", the power management circuit 150 determines in step S105 whether the first residual power N1 is higher than or equal to the first target power T1 and the second residual power N2 is lower than the second target power T2. When the judgment result of step S105 is "yes", the power management circuit 150 sets the first charging power PC1 to 0 and sets the second charging power PC2 to the mains power PG in step S106. In other words, in step S106, the first charging ratio RC1 is equal to 0. The second charging ratio RC2 is equal to 1. Based on formula (5) and formula (6), the first charging power PC1 is equal to 0. The second charging power PC2 is equal to the mains power PG. The first battery 110 is not charged in step S106. In step S106, the power management circuit 150 controls the second battery 120 to be charged using the mains power PG.
[0039] When the judgment result of step S105 is "no", the power management circuit 150 determines in step S107 whether the first residual power N1 is lower than the first target power T1 and the second residual power N2 is higher than or equal to the second target power T2. When the judgment result of step S107 is "yes", the power management circuit 150 sets the first charging power PC1 to the mains power PG and sets the second charging power PC2 to 0 in step S108. In other words, in step S108, the first charging ratio RC1 is equal to 1. The second charging ratio RC2 is equal to 0. Based on formula (5) and formula (6), the first charging power PC1 is equal to the mains power PG. The second charging power PC2 is equal to 0. The second battery 120 is not charged in step S108. In step S108, the power management circuit 150 controls the first battery 110 to be charged using the mains power PG.
[0040] When the judgment result of step S107 is "No", this means that the first residual power N1 is higher than or equal to the first target power T1 and the second residual power N2 is higher than or equal to the second target power T2. Neither the first battery 110 nor the second battery 120 needs to be charged. Therefore, the power management circuit 150 controls the power supply device 100 to enter the power supply mode.
[0041] In step S102, when the power supply device 100 is not in battery charging mode, the power management circuit 150 determines that the power supply device 100 has entered power supply mode. Therefore, in step S110, the power management circuit 150 determines whether the regenerative power PPV of the regenerated energy PR is greater than or equal to the required power PDM. The regenerated energy PR can be any feasible green energy source. For example, the regenerated energy PR can be solar energy, but the present invention is not limited thereto. Therefore, the regenerative power PPV can be solar power, but the present invention is not limited thereto. When the regenerative power PPV of the regenerated energy PR is greater than or equal to the required power PDM, the power management circuit 150 determines the sum of the first charging factor FX and the second charging factor FY in step S111. When the sum of the first charging factor FX and the second charging factor FY is 0, the power management circuit 150 controls the regenerative power generation circuit 130 to provide regenerative power PR to the output circuit 140 in step S112, and stops charging the first battery 110 and the second battery 120.
[0042] Further, when the sum of the first charging factor FX and the second charging factor FY is 0, this indicates that the first residual charge N1 is higher than or equal to the first target charge T1 and the second residual charge N2 is higher than or equal to the second target charge T2. Therefore, the first battery 110 and the second battery 120 do not need to be charged. The power management circuit 150 controls the regenerative power generation circuit 130 to provide regenerative power PR to the output circuit 140 and stops charging the first battery 110 and the second battery 120. In step S112, the power management circuit 150 controls the regenerative power generation circuit 130 to adjust the output power PRO of the regenerative power PR to the required power PDM, and provides the regenerative power PR with the required power PDM to the output circuit 140.
[0043] In step S111, when the sum of the first charging factor FX and the second charging factor FY is greater than 0, the power management circuit 150 determines the first residual charge N1 and the second residual charge N2 in step S113. When the first residual charge N1 is lower than the first target charge T1 and the second residual charge N2 is lower than the second target charge T2 (i.e., "yes"), the power management circuit 150 controls the regenerative power generation circuit 130 in step S114 to adjust the output power PRO of the regenerative power PR to the required power PDM, and provides the regenerative power PR with the required power PDM to the output circuit 140. In step S114, the power management circuit 150 calculates the first charging power PC1 based on the remaining power PN of the regenerative power PR and the first charging ratio RC1, and controls the regenerative power generation circuit 130 to charge the first battery 110 using the first charging power PC1. In addition, the power management circuit 150 calculates the second charging power PC2 based on the remaining power PN and the second charging ratio RC2, and controls the regenerative power generation circuit 130 to charge the second battery 120 using the second charging power PC2.
[0044] In this embodiment, the remaining power PN is equal to the difference between the regeneration power PPV of the regenerated power PR and the demand power PDM. Therefore, the power management circuit 150 can calculate the first charging power PC1 and the second charging power PC2 according to formulas (11) and (12).
[0045] …Formula (11)
[0046] …Formula (12)
[0047] That is to say, the power management circuit 150 multiplies the remaining power PN by the first charging ratio RC1 to calculate the first charging power PC1, and multiplies the remaining power PN by the second charging ratio RC2 to calculate the second charging power PC2.
[0048] When the judgment result of step S113 is "No", the power management circuit 150 determines in step S115 whether the first residual power N1 is higher than or equal to the first target power T1 and the second residual power N2 is lower than the second target power T2. When the judgment result of step S115 is "Yes", the power management circuit 150 sets the first charging power PC1 to 0 (i.e., RC1=0) and sets the second charging power PC2 to the residual power PN (i.e., RC2=1) in step S116. The power management circuit 150 controls the regenerative power generation circuit 130 to adjust the output power PRO of the regenerative power PR to the required power PDM, and provides the regenerative power PR with the required power PDM to the output circuit 140. The power management circuit 150 controls the regenerative power generation circuit 130 to charge the second battery 120 using the second charging power PC2.
[0049] When the judgment result of step S115 is "No", the power management circuit 150 determines in step S117 whether the first residual power N1 is lower than the first target power T1 and the second residual power N2 is higher than or equal to the second target power T2. When the judgment result of step S117 is "Yes", the power management circuit 150 sets the first charging power PC1 to the residual power PN (i.e., RC1=1) and sets the second charging power PC2 to 0 (i.e., RC2=0) in step S118. The power management circuit 150 controls the regenerative power generation circuit 130 to adjust the output power PRO of the regenerative power PR to the required power PDM, and provides the regenerative power PR with the required power PDM to the output circuit 140. The power management circuit 150 controls the regenerative power generation circuit 130 to charge the first battery 110 using the first charging power PC1.
[0050] When the judgment result of step S117 is "No", this means that the first residual power N1 is higher than or equal to the first target power T1 and the second residual power N2 is higher than or equal to the second target power T2. Neither the first battery 110 nor the second battery 120 needs to be charged. Therefore, the power management circuit 150 controls the regenerative power generation circuit 130 to provide regenerative power PR to the output circuit 140 and stops charging the first battery 110 and the second battery 120.
[0051] In step S110, when the regeneration power PPV of the regenerated energy PR is less than the required power PDM, the power management circuit 150 determines the sum of the first discharge factor FA and the second discharge factor FB in step S120. When the sum of the first discharge factor FA and the second discharge factor FB is 0, the power management circuit 150 controls the regenerated energy generation circuit 130 to use the regeneration power PPV of the regenerated energy PR to supply power in step S121.
[0052] When the sum of the first discharge factor FA and the second discharge factor FB is greater than 0, the power management circuit 150 controls the regenerative power generation circuit 130 to supply power using the regenerative power PPV of the regenerative power PR in step S122. The power management circuit 150 calculates the first discharge power PD1 based on the difference between the demand power PDM and the regenerative power PPV of the regenerative power PR and the first discharge ratio RD1, and controls the first battery 110 to supply power using the first discharge power PD1. In addition, the power management circuit 150 calculates the second discharge power PD2 based on the difference and the second discharge ratio RD2, and controls the second battery 120 to supply power using the second discharge power PD2.
[0053] In this embodiment, the power management circuit 150 can calculate the first discharge power PD1 and the second discharge power PD2 according to formula (13) and formula (14).
[0054] …Formula (13)
[0055] …Formula (14)
[0056] That is to say, the power management circuit 150 multiplies the difference by the first discharge ratio RD1 to calculate the first discharge power PD1, and multiplies the difference by the second discharge power PD2 to calculate the second discharge power PD2.
[0057] In this embodiment, the first battery 110, the second battery 120, and the regenerative energy generation circuit 130 each include a conversion circuit (not shown). The conversion circuit of the first battery 110 can adjust the first charging power PC1 and the first discharging power PD1 based on the control of the power management circuit 150. The conversion circuit of the second battery 120 can adjust the second charging power PC2 and the second discharging power PD2 based on the control of the power management circuit 150. The conversion circuit of the regenerative energy generation circuit 130 can adjust the output power PRO of the regenerative energy PR based on the control of the power management circuit 150.
[0058] Please refer to FIG3, which is a schematic diagram of a regenerative power supply device according to an embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the power supply device 200 includes a first battery 110, a second battery 120, a regenerative power generation circuit 130, an output circuit 240, and a power management circuit 150. The operation of the first battery 110, the second battery 120, the regenerative power generation circuit 130, and the power management circuit 150 has been clearly described in the embodiments of FIG1 and FIG2, and will not be repeated here. In this embodiment, the output circuit 240 includes a power bus DBUS, a switching circuit 141, and a DC-AC converter (DAC) 242. The DC-AC converter 242 is coupled between the power bus DBUS and the switching circuit 141. The power bus DBUS is a DC power bus. Therefore, the output power PO located at the power bus DBUS is a DC power supply. In the power supply mode, the DC-AC converter 242 converts the output power PO located at the power bus DBUS into an AC power supply PA. Therefore, in power supply mode, the switching circuit 141 can provide either the output power supply PO or the AC power supply PA.
[0059] Please refer to Figures 1 and 4. Figure 4 is a schematic diagram of a regenerative power supply device according to an embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the power supply device 100 further includes a cabinet 160. The cabinet 160 houses a first battery 110, a second battery 120, an output circuit 140, and a power management circuit 150. For example, the cabinet 160 has three layers. The bottom layer of the cabinet 160 houses the first battery 110. The middle layer of the cabinet 160 houses the second battery 120. The top layer of the cabinet 160 houses the output circuit 140 and the power management circuit 150.
