System voltage ripple reduction

Abstract

Certain aspects of the present disclosure are directed towards techniques and apparatus for reducing ripple voltage. For example, an example power supply circuit of the present disclosure generally includes: a charger coupled to a battery port configured to be coupled to a battery; a frequency detector configured to detect a frequency at which the power supply circuit enters and exits a current limit condition for the charger or a battery supplement mode in which the battery is configured to supplement power provided to a load by the charger; a frequency comparator configured to determine whether the frequency is within a configured frequency range; and a ripple reduction circuit configured to decrease a current or voltage limit associated with the charger based on the frequency being within the configured frequency range.
