Authorization communications for positioning or sensing procedures

Abstract

Some examples of the techniques described herein may provide approaches for managing positioning or sensing procedures. For instance, a network entity may manage authorization or consent for positioning or sensing procedures. In some scenarios, a network node may request that a wireless device collect positioning or sensing measurements. The wireless device may query the network entity to determine whether the request from the network node is authorized. In some scenarios, a network node may seek authorization from the network entity for the network node to request that a wireless device collect positioning or sensing measurements. The network entity may obtain information regarding consent or one or more restrictions for positioning or sensing procedures. For instance, the network entity may obtain information indicating that a user equipment (UE) in an area does not authorize positioning or sensing, or one or more parameters for positioning or sensing.
