Abstract
A novel semiconductor device is provided. The semiconductor device includes a first memory circuit having a flip-flop circuit, and a second memory circuit having first to third transistors and a memory element. A first terminal of the first transistor is electrically connected to a first terminal of the first memory circuit. A second terminal of the first transistor is electrically connected to the first terminal of the second transistor and the first terminal of the memory element. A second terminal of the second transistor is electrically connected to the first terminal of the third transistor and the second terminal of the first memory circuit. A magnetic tunneling junction element is used as the memory element.
