The upper horizontal bar of the guardrail (II)

Abstract

[Purpose of Item]: This design applies to the upper horizontal bar of a railing used for safety protection on balconies or stairs. [Design Description]: This amended application is a derivative design of design application No. 114305959, amended to design application No. 114305958. The upper horizontal bar of this railing design includes an inner bar and an outer bar that fits over the inner bar. The inner bar is rectangular and hollow. On the left and right sides near the bottom, a corresponding clamping arm protrudes into the hollow interior of the inner bar. The clamping arms slope upwards from the base to the tip. The bottom surface of the inner bar has spaced recesses for inserting the upper end of a straight bar. When the upper end of the straight bar is inserted into the inner bar, the front and rear outer walls of the straight bar are secured and positioned by the ends of the clamping arms. The outer rod is also rectangular, shorter than the inner rod at both ends, and has no bottom surface. Multiple corresponding, horizontally extending top ribs protrude from the inner walls of the front and rear sides of the outer rod, allowing the outer rod to be fitted over the inner rod and held in place by the top ribs for a secure fit. In application, as shown in reference sectional views 1 and 2 (AA), an outer cover can be fitted over the outer rod as a decorative railing. The cut lines in this design drawing indicate omitted lengths; the dashed lines do not represent the parts claimed in this design. The rectangular post holes in the bottom view of this railing are multiple holes at fixed intervals. In summary, the shape of this design, the rectangular design of the upper horizontal bar, the two corresponding clamping arms inside the inner rod, the fitting of the outer rod, and the configuration of the insert are all unique and unprecedented. Therefore, this design patent application is filed in accordance with the law, and I respectfully request your examination and grant of a patent.
