Abstract
【Item Uses】 This design is a tabletop planter, mainly used for indoor small plant cultivation, and combines lighting and table decoration functions. It is suitable for placement on office desks, home desktops, cabinet shelves and other environments. 【Design Description】 The design focuses on the overall shape, which is structured by a hollow main body that can accommodate plants and an outer lighting frame that supports and surrounds the main body, creating a visually distinct inner and outer layer with a light and floating appearance. Observing from the front and rear views, it can be seen that the main body of the planter is slightly rectangular in shape with rounded corners. Referring to the three-dimensional view, it can be seen that the top edge of the main body forms an upward opening, which expands outward with a thinner rim and then extends and is fixed to the inner side of the outer frame. A accommodating chamber is formed inside the opening. Looking at the front and rear views, the outer frame surrounding the main body is a slightly vertically oriented hollow rectangular frame with rounded corners, creating a soft overall look that echoes the main body while also offering rich variations in form. The hollow frame itself has a stable profile, being thinner at the top and thicker at the bottom. Lighting units are integrated into the area below the top, facing the upper part of the main body. At the two curved corners at the top, there are spaced rectangular recesses on both the inner and outer sides, further defining the structure and highlighting its lighter appearance. As for the four legs at the bottom of the frame, since they are partially located in the curved section, the front and rear views show a difference in length between the outer and inner legs, creating the visual illusion of outward expansion. Combined with the thicker base, this further enhances the sense of stability. Viewed from above, the outer frame of this design forms a pattern dominated by horizontal rectangles with rounded corners. The three rectangular recesses formed at the two ends along the length can be combined with the three-dimensional curved shapes on the front and back sides to harmonize the corresponding rectangular elements and enrich the composition, forming a nested outline. Viewed from the left and right side views, one can see the arc-shaped structure of the front and back sides of the outer frame, and another can see the concave rectangular structure of the top side of the outer frame. Especially at the bottom of the outer frame where it is supported by the legs, the support parts are located at the curved position of the bottom corner, which further shows the stable structure of the upper round and lower round of the legs. In summary, this design utilizes the main body of the planter and the rectangular structure of the inner and outer frames, with slightly rounded corners and front and back sides. It is thinner at the top and thicker at the bottom, and the legs form a base shape that extends outwards. The concentric layers and the proportional relationship between the upper and lower parts presented in each view create a tabletop planter appearance that combines internal and external contrast with the floating effect of the planter. The soft rounded edges and simple lines showcase a modern visual style that can easily blend into various interior spaces, which is the main distinguishing feature of this design.
