Abstract

This disclosure relates to methods for treating eye abnormalities such as myopia. The invention includes an apparatus and method for prescribing, selecting, supplying, and assembling pairs of myopia management glasses or kits of micro-optical elements for use in conjunction with standard single vision, to which a non-permanent auxiliary optical film may be attached. The apparatus and configuration method are designed to provide a basic toric or astigmatic or asymmetrical directional optical design to slow, improve, control, inhibit, or reduce the rate of myopia progression over time, wherein the method can provide a prescribing care regimen of directional optics or a stop signal that varies with time and space.
