Abstract
Claims
1. A display device, comprising: an RGB backlight module; an image generation unit; a scanning mirror; a reflector module; a windshield; an eye-tracking unit; and a beam splitter; wherein, The RGB backlight module emits light that passes through the image generation unit, is then reflected by the scanning mirror, and is imaged onto an adjustable image position. The image is then reflected by the reflector module onto the windshield. The RGB backlight module includes red, green, and blue light sources. The red light source is reflected by the first reflector and then split by the beam splitter to the image generation unit. The green light source is reflected by the second reflector and then split by the beam splitter to the image generation unit. The blue light source is reflected by the third reflector and then split by the beam splitter to the image generation unit. The scanning mirror functions to project an image onto the eye-tracking unit, thus expanding the eye box in the x-direction. The reflector module functions to dilate the pupil in the y-direction, magnify the adjustable image, and correct aberrations in the windshield. The reflector module is only large enough to cover the eye boxes of both the user's left and right eyes along the y-axis.
2. The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the image generation unit is a computer-generated holographic image generation unit.
3. The display device as claimed in claim 2, wherein the computer-generated holographic image generation unit includes an RGB laser.
4. The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the reflector module comprises two or more reflectors.
5. The display device as claimed in claim 4, wherein the reflectors are semi-transparent reflectors.
