Abstract

This invention discloses a method for determining unknown weather information. Weather information in a region is substantially measured simultaneously at a plurality of measurement points in the region. The method includes: for each of the second data sets, determining the similarity between known information in a first data set and the second data set; selecting a portion of the second data sets as a plurality of third data sets based on the degree of similarity; and determining an estimate of the unknown information in the first data set based on correlation information between the known information in the first data set and the third data sets.

2. The method for determining unknown weather information as described in claim 1, wherein each of the second data sets includes a first message corresponding to the known information of the first data set and a second message corresponding to the unknown information of the first data set, wherein step (a) includes: for each of the second data sets, determining the similarity between the known information of the first data set and the first message of the second data set; wherein step (c) includes: determining the estimate of the unknown information of the first data set based on (1) the association message of the correlation between the known information of the first data set and the first messages of the third data sets and (2) the second messages of the third data sets.

3. The method for determining unknown weather information as described in claim 2, wherein the known information of the first dataset is presented in a first form with a first coordinate, and the first information of each of the second datasets is presented in a second form with a second coordinate, wherein the similarity between the known information of the first dataset and the first information of the second dataset is determined based on a distance between the first coordinate and the second coordinate.

4. The method for determining unknown weather information as described in claim 1, wherein step (a) comprises: determining a similarity degree for the similarity of each of the second data sets; wherein step (b) comprises: selecting a portion of the second data sets as the third data sets, and selecting a remaining portion of the second data sets as at least one fourth data set, wherein the similarity degrees of the third data sets have a first best similarity degree and a first worst similarity degree, wherein the at least one similarity degree of the at least one fourth data set has a second best similarity degree and a second worst similarity degree, wherein the first worst similarity degree of the similarity degrees of the third data sets is better than the second best similarity degree of the at least one similarity degree of the at least one fourth data set.

5. The method for determining unknown weather information as described in claim 1, wherein step (c) comprises: determining a set of correlation parameters based on the correlation between the known information in the first data set and the third data sets; and determining the estimate of the unknown information in the first data set based on the set of correlation parameters, wherein the set of correlation parameters comprises a plurality of correlation parameters corresponding one-to-one to the third data sets.

6. The method for determining unknown weather information as described in claim 5, wherein the correlation information includes the similarity between the known information in the first dataset and each of the third datasets.

7. The method for determining unknown weather information as described in claim 1, wherein the weather information is a wind message.

The method for determining unknown meteorological information as described in claim 1, wherein the meteorological information is determined by performing a mathematical transformation procedure on a previous meteorological message that is substantially simultaneously measured at the measurement points in the area, such that the measurement message at each measurement point is between a minimum value and a maximum value.

9. The method for determining unknown weather information as described in claim 8, wherein the minimum value is 0 and the maximum value is 1.

10. A method for determining an unknown meteorological message, wherein a meteorological message is substantially simultaneously measured by a plurality of measurement points in a region, wherein the meteorological message includes a measurement message from each of the measurement points, wherein the meteorological message measured at a first time point constitutes a first data set, wherein the first data set includes a known message and an unknown message, wherein the meteorological message measured at each of a plurality of second time points constitutes a second data set, wherein each of the second time points is different from the first time point, wherein each of the second data sets includes a first message corresponding to the known message of the first data set and a second message corresponding to the unknown message of the first data set, wherein the method for determining the unknown meteorological message comprises: (a) through a processing unit, determining, for each of the second data sets, the similarity between the known message in the first data set and the first message in the second data set and determining a similarity degree for the similarity.
