Abstract
Claims
1. A lithium battery module for inhibiting thermal runaway and propagation, comprising: a chassis having an air inlet and an air outlet; a fan disposed in the chassis and located on the downwind side of the air inlet; a battery pack disposed in the chassis and located on the downwind side of the fan, the battery pack comprising a plurality of battery cells; and a fan fire-resistant expansion member attached to the fan frame to seal the fan in the event of thermal runaway of the battery cell; A flame-retardant sheet covers the battery pack; and two current-limiting components are disposed in and fixed to the chassis, and located on the downwind side of the battery pack. The two current-limiting components are symmetrically arranged. Each current-limiting component includes a main plate and a plurality of toothed plates. The main plates of the two current-limiting components extend towards each other to form a narrowing channel between the two main plates. The plurality of toothed plates are disposed on the edge of the main plate and perpendicular to the main plate. The plurality of toothed plates are spaced apart and partially cover the gap between the battery pack and the chassis to limit the range of flame eruption.

The lithium battery module for thermal runaway and heat spread suppression as claimed in claim 1, wherein the main body plate includes a fixed plate, a current limiting plate and a reverse folding plate connected end to end in sequence, the fixed plate is stacked and fixed to the chassis, the current limiting plate is engaged with the fixed plate at the end away from the battery pack and perpendicular to the fixed plate, and the reverse folding plate is perpendicular to the current limiting plate and extends from the current limiting plate toward the battery pack.

The lithium battery module for thermal runaway and heat spread suppression as claimed in claim 1, wherein the battery pack includes a conductive sheet secured to the battery pack, the conductive sheet including a nickel sheet and a copper sheet, the nickel sheet and the copper sheet being laser-welded.
4. The lithium battery module for suppressing thermal runaway and heat spread as claimed in claim 1 further includes a battery pack fire-resistant expansion member attached to the inside of the chassis and disposed in the gap between the battery pack and the chassis.
5. A lithium battery module for suppressing thermal runaway and propagation diffusion as described in claim 1, wherein the toothed plate is a quadrilateral plate.
