Abstract

An expansion card device has a first height and includes a frame and two expansion card assemblies. The frame includes two side frames and a partition frame. The partition frame includes two assembly parts and a partition part. The two assembly parts are respectively connected to opposite sides of the partition part and protrude in opposite directions from the partition part. The two assembly parts are respectively fixed to the two side frames to separate two accommodating spaces between the two side frames. The two expansion card assemblies each have a second height and each includes an assembly frame and an expansion card. The expansion card includes a card body and a baffle. The card body includes an adjacent mounting surface and a bearing surface. The baffle is disposed on the mounting surface of the card body and includes a connecting portion. A portion of the connecting portion protrudes from the bearing surface and is assembled to the assembly frame. The two expansion card assemblies are respectively located in two accommodating spaces, and the two bearing surfaces of the two expansion card assemblies both face the partition frame. The two connecting portions of the two baffles are respectively adjacent to the two side frames and staggered with each other, and there is a third overlapping area in the height direction.

Claims

1. An expansion card device having a first height, comprising: a frame including two side frames and a partition frame, the partition frame including two assembly parts and a partition portion, the two assembly parts being respectively connected to opposite sides of the partition portion and protruding in opposite directions from the partition portion, the two assembly parts being respectively fixed to the two side frames to separate two accommodating spaces between the two side frames; and two expansion card assemblies, each having a second height, each including: an assembly frame; and an expansion card including a card body and a baffle, the card body including an adjacent mounting surface and a bearing surface, the baffle being disposed on the mounting surface of the card body, and the baffle including a connecting portion, a portion of the connecting portion protruding from the bearing surface and assembled to the assembly frame; wherein... The two expansion card assemblies are located in the two accommodating spaces, and the two supporting surfaces of the two expansion card assemblies face the partition frame. The two connecting parts of the two baffles are adjacent to the two side frames and are staggered to each other, and there is a third overlapping area in the height direction.

The expansion card device as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the two assembly parts includes a plurality of assembly slots, and each of the two assembly frames of the two expansion card assemblies includes a plurality of assembly blocks, the assembly blocks being slidably mounted in the assembly slots.

The expansion card device as claimed in claim 2, wherein each of the assembly slots includes an assembly section and a pick-and-place section, the assembly section having an opposing pick-and-place end and a positioning end, the pick-and-place section being substantially perpendicular to and connected to the pick-and-place end of the assembly section, such that a corresponding assembly block can slide from the pick-and-place section into the pick-and-place end of the assembly section, and slide from the pick-and-place end of the assembly section to the positioning end of the assembly section.

The expansion card device as claimed in claim 3, wherein each of the two expansion card assemblies includes a first fastener, and the two assembly frames are respectively fixed to the two side frames by the two first fasteners, so that the assembly blocks of the two assembly frames are positioned at the positioning ends of the assembly segments.

The expansion card device as claimed in claim 4, wherein each of the two expansion card assemblies includes two adapter cards and a plurality of second fasteners, the two adapter cards are respectively fixed to the two assembly frames through the second fasteners, and the two card bodies of the two expansion cards are respectively mounted on the two adapter cards.

6. The expansion card device as claimed in claim 5, wherein each of the two expansion card assemblies includes a third fastener that is locked to the joint of the corresponding baffle and the assembly frame.

7. The expansion card device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the frame further includes a plurality of sliders disposed on one side of the two side frames away from the partition frame, the sliders being slidably disposed in a groove.

8. The expansion card device as claimed in claim 1 further includes a positioning mechanism disposed on one of the side frames and used for positioning with a chassis.

9. The expansion card device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first height is the sum of the second heights of the two expansion card assemblies minus the third height of the overlap of the two expansion card assemblies.

10. The expansion card device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the second height of the expansion card assembly is the height at the joint of the baffle, which is the maximum height of the expansion card assembly.
