Abstract

This invention provides a backpack that reduces swaying when all shoulder straps are worn across both shoulders, and maintains aesthetics and ease of use even when only a single shoulder strap is worn across one shoulder. Implementation Method

1. A backpack comprising: a first shoulder strap crossing one shoulder; a second shoulder strap crossing the other shoulder; and a main compartment; characterized in that: the first shoulder strap and the second shoulder strap are independent of each other; the first shoulder strap has one end detachably mounted to the upper part of the main compartment on the aforementioned other side, and the other end detachably mounted to the lower part of the main compartment on the aforementioned other side; the second shoulder strap has one end detachably mounted to the upper part of the main compartment on the aforementioned other side, and the other end detachably mounted to the lower part of the main compartment on the aforementioned other side; the backpack includes a strap portion having both ends held in place of one of the first shoulder straps and the second shoulder strap, and extending along the length of the one shoulder strap with a gap between the two ends; the other shoulder strap of the first shoulder strap and the second shoulder strap passes through the aforementioned gap.

2. As requested in item 1, the backpack wherein the first shoulder strap has one end that can be repositioned on the other side above the main compartment, and the second shoulder strap has one end that can be repositioned on the other side above the main compartment.
