Abstract

This invention proposes a lighting device that can be connected to an external power source. The lighting device has a housing, a light source module, and a conductive unit. The housing can be plate-shaped or have an opening, and a strip-shaped or circular groove is formed on one surface of the housing. The light source module is strip-shaped and covered with a light-transmitting adhesive strip. The conductive unit is electrically connected to the light source module and the external power source. When the light source module emits light, the emitted light is not blocked by the housing and can illuminate all directions. It can also be guided by the housing to the other end of the housing and emitted into the environment, thus creating a unique visual effect. The light source module is covered with a light-transmitting adhesive strip formed by transparent waterproof adhesive and fills the groove. Dust and moisture from the user and the environment will not adhere to the groove and come into contact with the light source module, thereby reducing the risk of electric shock or short circuit of the light source module.

Claims

1. A lighting device capable of being connected to an external power source, comprising: a housing having a groove formed on the surface of the housing; a light source module in the shape of a strip disposed within the groove; a conductive unit having one end electrically connected to the light source module and the other end electrically connected to the external power source; and a light-transmitting adhesive strip fixed within the groove and covering the light source module.

2. The lighting device as described in claim 1, wherein, The housing has an opening and a side wall portion surrounding the opening; the internal space of the housing is formed within the side wall portion and communicates with the opening, and the groove is formed on the opening.

3. The lighting device as described in claim 2, wherein, The light source module extends around the opening to form a ring.

4. The lighting device as described in claim 2, wherein, The opening has a transverse wall that is annular and extends laterally relative to the side wall. The transverse wall has an upper side, a lower side, and an end edge, and the groove is formed on the upper side, the lower side, or the end edge.

5. The lighting device as described in claim 1, wherein, The shell is either arc-shaped or flat.

6. The lighting device as described in claim 5, wherein, The light source module and the conductive unit are located on opposite sides of the shell.

7. The lighting device as described in any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein, The conductive unit includes a wire disposed in the internal space of the housing and electrically connected to the light source module.

8. The lighting device as described in claim 7, wherein, A perforation is formed on the housing, and the wire passes through the perforation to be electrically connected to the light source module.

9. The lighting device as described in claim 7, wherein, The wire is attached to the side of the housing.

10. The lighting device as described in any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein, The housing is a light-transmitting housing.

11. The lighting device as described in any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein, The groove is strip-shaped or ring-shaped.

12. A method for manufacturing a lighting device, comprising the following steps in sequence: providing a housing having a groove formed therein; providing a light source module and a conductive unit; disposing the light source module in the groove; electrically connecting one end of the conductive unit to the light source module; injecting a transparent waterproof adhesive into the groove and covering the light source module with the transparent waterproof adhesive; and fixing the transparent waterproof adhesive in the groove after it solidifies to form a light-transmitting strip.

13. The method of manufacturing the lighting device as claimed in claim 12 further comprises the following steps: before the transparent waterproof adhesive is cured, the transparent waterproof adhesive is leveled so that the light-transmitting strip formed after the transparent waterproof adhesive is cured has a flat surface, the flat surface facing away from the groove.
