Abstract
Claims
1. A method for calculating distances, comprising: discretizing a first geometric shape and a second geometric shape into a plurality of first geometric points and a plurality of second geometric points, respectively; distributing the first geometric points and the second geometric points in a plurality of lattices, wherein each of the first geometric points and the second geometric points has a target range, one center of the target range being one of the first geometric points or one of the second geometric points, and one radius of the target range being a target value of that one of the first geometric points and that one of the second geometric points; performing calculations sequentially on the lattices; determining whether one of the lattices contains at least one of the first geometric points and at least one of the second geometric points; and calculating a plurality of distances between each of the first geometric points and each of the second geometric points in the lattices.
2. The method for calculating the distance as described in claim 1, wherein each of the lattices overlaps with the others.
3. The method for calculating the distance as described in claim 1, wherein the lattices are cubes.
4. The method for calculating the distance as described in claim 1, wherein one side length of each of the lattices is greater than or equal to twice the target value.
5. The distance calculation method as described in claim 1, wherein adjacent pairs in the lattices have an overlapping region, and the overlap length of one of the overlapping regions is greater than or equal to the target value.
6. The method for calculating distances as described in claim 1, wherein the calculation of the distances between each of the first geometric points and each of the second geometric points in the lattices further comprises: calculating the distances that are less than the target value.
7. The distance calculation method as described in claim 1, wherein when it is determined that one of the lattices contains at least one of the first geometric points and at least one of the second geometric points, the distances between each of the first geometric points and each of the second geometric points in the lattice are calculated.
8. The distance calculation method as described in claim 7 further includes obtaining a minimum distance among the distances, and the step of obtaining the minimum distance among the distances is performed after the step of calculating the distances between each of the first geometric points and each of the second geometric points in the lattices.
9. The distance calculation method as described in claim 1, wherein when it is determined that one of the lattices does not contain at least one of the first geometric points and at least one of the second geometric points, the calculation is performed on the other of the lattices.
