Abstract

A tool-free automatic locking device for a server chassis panel includes a pair of panel housings, a pair of USB connection modules, and a pair of automatic locking modules. These are integrated at both ends of the server chassis panel and automatically lock when the server chassis is installed in a server rack. Each panel housing contains a USB connection module and an automatic locking module spaced apart. Each automatic locking module includes a latch, a pull-type toggle button, and a spring element. The latch has a latch portion at its rear end and a first inclined portion at its bottom. The pull-type toggle button has a second inclined portion that abuts against the first inclined portion. When the pull-type toggle button is pulled, the height difference between the second and first inclined portions unlocks the panel, significantly improving convenience.

Claims

1. A tool-free automatic locking device for a server chassis panel, integrally formed at both ends of the server chassis panel, which automatically locks when the server chassis is installed in a server rack, comprising: A pair of panel housings, each panel housing having an internal accommodating space and an operating hole corresponding to the bottom of the panel housing, a plurality of through holes formed on the front of the panel housing, and a hook hole on the back of the panel housing, so that the accommodating space communicates with the operating hole, the through holes, and the hook hole; a pair of positioning posts are spaced vertically on the inner sidewall of the panel housing; a pair of USB connection modules, each USB connection module being disposed within the accommodating space, and each USB connection module including a pair of USB ports and a control circuit board, the pair of USB ports being spaced vertically on the control circuit board and electrically connected corresponding to the positions of the through holes; and a pair of automatic locking modules, each automatic locking module being disposed within the accommodating space and located on one side of the USB connection module, and each automatic locking module including a hook piece, a pull-type toggle button, and a spring element, the hook piece having... The device has a pair of limiting openings that are movably installed at the positions of the pair of positioning posts. It also has a hook portion at the rear end of the hook piece that protrudes through the hook hole. The hook piece has a first inclined portion at its bottom and a second inclined portion that abuts against the first inclined portion. The elastic element is connected between the hook piece and the panel housing, so that the hook portion is normally kept locked. When the pull-type toggle button is pulled outward, the hook piece creates a height difference through the second and first inclined portions, causing the hook portion to unlock.

2. The tool-free automatic locking device for the server housing panel as described in claim 1, wherein, The other end of the two positioning posts has a stop portion that is larger than the size of the limiting opening, so that the two hook pieces will not fall off after being installed on the two positioning posts.

3. The tool-free automatic locking device for the server housing panel as described in claim 2, wherein, The two limiting openings are L-shaped and face the front of the panel housing. The side edge of the hook piece corresponding to the hook portion is attached to the inner wall surface of the panel housing.

4. The tool-free automatic locking device for the server housing panel as described in claim 3, wherein, The pull-type toggle key corresponds to the size of the operating hole, and each of the two sides of the pull-type toggle key is provided with a limiting hook, and a pair of limiting grooves are provided on the inner wall of the panel housing. When the pull-type toggle key is installed in the operating hole, the pair of limiting hooks are respectively movably set in the pair of limiting grooves, and can be pulled outward during operation.

5. The tool-free automatic locking device for the server housing panel as described in claim 1, wherein, Each housing panel includes a housing and a base, the housing covering the front of the base to form the receiving space, and the base having a connecting portion for mounting to the server housing.

6. The tool-free automatic locking device for the server housing panel as described in claim 5, wherein, The base is provided with mounting posts for mounting the control circuit board thereon.

7. The tool-free automatic locking device for the server housing panel as described in claim 5, wherein, The outer casing has a plurality of latching parts for securing it to the base.

8. The tool-free automatic locking device for the server housing panel as described in claim 1, wherein, Each hook portion is provided with a guide surface designed according to one of the latch holes of the server rack. When the guide surface comes into contact with the latch hole, it will push the hook portion upward and automatically guide it into the latch hole.

9. The tool-free automatic locking device for the server housing panel as described in claim 8, wherein, As each hook extends backward from the hook plate, it is bent to align with the center of the snap hole.
