Abstract

A shock-absorbing device is suitable for installation between the saddle and the seatpost of a bicycle. The device includes a support mechanism and a rear shock-absorbing mechanism. The support mechanism includes a first support unit on the seatpost and a second support unit disposed under the saddle. The rear shock-absorbing mechanism includes an elastic unit and a rotating unit. The elastic unit includes two spaced-apart elastic elements connecting the rear sides of the first and second support units. The rotating unit is rotatably connected between the first and second support units and located between the elastic elements. The design of the bilaterally symmetrical elastic elements and rotating unit effectively increases the load-bearing capacity of the shock-absorbing device and extends its service life. This invention also provides a shock-absorbing seat.
