Abstract

An assembly process generation system includes: a parts list database with a parts lookup table containing basic parts information and extended parts information; a first processing unit that receives a product model, compares the product model with the parts lookup table to associate the product model with the basic parts information, determines the structural state of the product model, and generates assembly process information; a second processing unit that receives process operation information and assembly association information, and associates the process operation information and assembly association information with the basic parts information and extended parts information to generate process type information, process parameters, and assembly information; and a third processing unit that receives the assembly process information, process type information, process parameters, and assembly information, and generates assembly process documents.

Claims

1. An assembly process production system, comprising: An item list database with an item information lookup table, which contains basic item information and extended item information; A first processing unit, connected to the item list database, receives a product model containing a plurality of items, compares these items with an item data lookup table to associate the product model with the basic information of the items, filters the plurality of possible disassembly and assembly of these items based on whether one of the structural states between these items is an interference state or a non-interference state, and generates assembly process information; a second processing unit, connected to the item list database, receives process operation information and assembly association information, and associates the process operation information and the assembly association information with the basic information of the items and the extended information of the items to generate process type information, process parameters and assembly information; and a third processing unit, connected to the first processing unit and the second processing unit, receives the assembly process information, the process type information, the process parameters and the assembly information, and generates an assembly process document.

2. The assembly process production system of claim 1, wherein the first processing unit compares the objects with the object data lookup table to associate each of the objects with the object basic information.

The assembly process production system of claim 2, wherein the first processing unit determines the structural state between the objects based on the relative positions of the objects; and if at least two of the objects interfere with each other, the first processing unit determines that the structural state between the objects is the interference state.

As in the assembly process generation system of request item 2, wherein when the first processing unit determines that the structural state between the objects is the non-interference state, the first processing unit performs an object decomposition procedure; and when the first processing unit completes the object decomposition procedure, the first processing unit outputs the assembly process information.

5. The assembly process production system of claim 4, wherein the first processing unit receives the process operation information and performs the object decomposition process based on the process operation information.

The assembly process generation system of claim 1, wherein the second processing unit includes a process operation module and an assembly association module, the process operation module receiving the process operation information and the assembly association module receiving the assembly association information.
