Image forming device having upward pushing mechanism

Abstract

An image forming apparatus includes a body, a push-up mechanism, and a detachable printing module. The push-up mechanism is disposed within the body. The detachable printing module is detachably disposed within the body and includes a toner cartridge. The push-up mechanism pushes the toner cartridge upward, causing a developing roller of the toner cartridge, located below a photosensitive drum of the image forming apparatus, to push upward against the photosensitive drum, thereby reducing the machine depth while maintaining drum-toner separation.

Claims

1. An image forming apparatus, comprising: a body; an upward pushing mechanism disposed in the body; a detachable printing module detachably disposed in the body and including a toner cartridge, wherein the upward pushing mechanism pushes the toner cartridge upward, causing a developing roller of the toner cartridge located below a photosensitive drum of the image forming apparatus to push upward against the photosensitive drum; and an elastic element having a mounting portion and a hook portion, the mounting portion being mounted on the body, the hook portion engaging a recess of the toner cartridge in a first state and disengaging the toner cartridge in a second state.

2. The image forming apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the removable printing module includes the photosensitive drum.

The image forming apparatus as claimed in claim 2 further comprises: an input cartridge for holding paper to be printed; and an output cartridge located above the input cartridge for holding printed paper, the output cartridge being detachably connected to the body and being openable to expose the photosensitive drum and the toner cartridge for replacement by a user.

The image forming apparatus as claimed in claim 3 further includes a printhead disposed between the input cartridge and the output cartridge for performing beam scanning on the photosensitive drum to draw an image, wherein a light channel for beam scanning is located between the output cartridge and the toner cartridge.

5. The image forming apparatus of claim 4, wherein the optical channel is obliquely arranged parallel to one or both of an upper surface of the toner cartridge and a bearing surface of the output cartridge.

6. The image forming apparatus of claim 2, wherein the detachable printing module includes a photosensitive drum cassette, the photosensitive drum being rotatably mounted in the photosensitive drum cassette, and the toner cartridge being detachably mounted in the photosensitive drum cassette.

The image forming apparatus as claimed in claim 6, wherein the push mechanism is a torsion spring and is rotatably mounted on a fixing pin of the body, a first end of the push mechanism is mounted in a first groove of the body, a second end of the push mechanism is mounted in a second groove of the body, and a protruding section of the push mechanism pushes the toner cartridge.

8. The image forming apparatus as claimed in claim 7, wherein a middle section of the push mechanism is mounted in a third slot of the body.

9. The image forming apparatus as claimed in claim 8, wherein: The height of the middle section is between the mounting part and the hook part, and the height of the fixing pin is lower than that of the mounting part.

10. The image forming apparatus of claim 1, wherein the photosensitive drum is disposed outside the removable printing module and rotatably mounted in the body.
