Power overload protection system

Abstract

An overload protection system is disclosed, suitable for installation between a substation and a power generation unit. It includes a first intelligent protection device suitable for installation at the substation, a second intelligent protection device suitable for installation at the power generation unit, a circuit breaker electrically connected to the power generation unit and the second intelligent protection device, a first network switch connected to the first intelligent protection device, a second network switch connected to the first network switch, and a terminal processing unit connected to the second network switch and electrically connected to the circuit breaker. When the second intelligent protection device determines that the current value exceeds the safe load, or when the terminal processing unit analyzes that the current value exceeds the safe load, it controls the circuit breaker to open the circuit, or controls the power generation unit to reduce its load.
