Abstract

A method for adjusting the touch driving frequency of a touch display device includes the following steps: (A) A touch module pre-stores a plurality of general frequencies and specific screen information, wherein the specific screen information includes information on a plurality of specific frequencies for a specific screen and information on a specific condition. (B) The touch module detects a currently displayed screen and determines whether the displayed screen is the specific screen based on whether the displayed screen meets the specific condition. (C) If the determination is yes, one of the specific frequencies is used as a touch driving frequency. (D) If the determination is no, one of the general frequencies is used as the touch driving frequency. Therefore, by setting specific frequencies that are not entirely identical to the general frequencies, the specific screen can have multiple frequencies selectable as the touch driving frequency.

Claims

1. A method for adjusting the touch driving frequency of a touch display device, the touch display device comprising a touch panel, a display panel, and a touch module, the method comprising the following steps: (A) The touch module pre-stores a plurality of general frequencies and at least one specific screen information, each of the specific screen information having a plurality of specific frequencies corresponding to a specific screen and information of a specific condition, the specific condition being the noise energy distribution characteristics of the specific screen relative to a touch driving frequency of the touch panel scanned by a noise sensing device, the general frequencies being frequencies at which the plurality of general screens will not produce ripples within a predetermined frequency range, and the specific frequencies corresponding to the specific screen being frequencies at which the specific screen will not produce ripples within the predetermined frequency range; (B) The touch module detects a display screen currently displayed on the display panel, and determines whether the display screen is the specific screen based on whether the display screen meets the specific condition; (C) In step (B), if the determination is yes, the touch module uses one of these specific frequencies as the touch driving frequency of the touch panel; and (D) In step (B), if the determination is no, the touch module uses one of these general frequencies as the touch driving frequency of the touch panel.

2. The touch drive frequency adjustment method for the touch display device as described in claim 1, wherein, In step (A), the touch module pre-stores a plurality of specific screen information, each specific screen information corresponding to a different specific screen, and each specific condition being the characteristic of the noise energy distribution of the corresponding specific screen relative to the noise sensing scan of each touch driving frequency.

3. The method for adjusting the touch drive frequency of a touch display device as described in claim 2, wherein, In step (A), each of the specific conditions is related to information about at least one peak frequency point in the noise energy distribution of the corresponding specific image.

4. The method for adjusting the touch drive frequency of a touch display device as described in claim 3, wherein, The at least one peak frequency point corresponding to each specific frame is not exactly the same.

5. The method for adjusting the touch drive frequency of a touch display device as described in claim 1, wherein, The specific condition relates to information about at least one peak frequency point in the noise energy distribution of each touch driving frequency relative to the noise sensing scan of the specific screen, and the at least one peak frequency point corresponding to the specific screen is not exactly the same as the at least one peak frequency point in the noise energy distribution of each touch driving frequency relative to the noise sensing scan of the general screen.

6. The method for adjusting the touch drive frequency of a touch display device as described in claim 1, wherein, The specific frequencies corresponding to this particular image are not exactly the same as those general frequencies.

7. The method for adjusting the touch drive frequency of a touch display device as described in claim 1, wherein, In step (C), the touch module determines one of these specific frequencies as the touch driving frequency based on the signal-to-noise ratio of the noise sensing scan.

8. The method for adjusting the touch drive frequency of a touch display device as described in claim 1, wherein, In step (D), the touch module determines one of these common frequencies as the touch driving frequency based on the signal-to-noise ratio of the noise sensing scan.

9. The method for adjusting the touch drive frequency of a touch display device as described in claim 1, wherein, In step (B), the touch module detects the noise energy distribution of the display screen multiple times, and then determines whether the specific condition is met based on the multiple detection data.

10. The method for adjusting the touch drive frequency of a touch display device as described in claim 1, wherein, Before step (A), based on the noise energy distribution of the touch driving frequency of the touch panel, a frequency range with a signal-to-noise ratio higher than a predetermined value is defined as a predetermined frequency range.

11. The method for adjusting the touch drive frequency of a touch display device as described in claim 10, wherein, The predetermined frequency range includes both general frequencies and specific frequencies.
