Abstract

A resin composition for wind turbine blades comprises an epoxy component and a curing agent component. The epoxy component includes a single-structure epoxy compound at a content of 85 wt% or more. The curing agent component includes amine compounds. The epoxy and curing agent components in the resin composition for wind turbine blades are simple in composition, and the formulation process is simple and rapid. Furthermore, based on such a simple composition, the resin composition for wind turbine blades is still applicable to the manufacturing process of long-sized wind turbine blades (e.g., over 70m). Specifically, when applied to the vacuum infusion process of wind turbine blade shells, it provides sufficient infusion operation time and meets the requirements for complete curing time during wind turbine blade manufacturing, satisfying the required mechanical properties and meeting production efficiency standards.

Claims

1. A resin composition for wind turbine blades, comprising: an epoxy component, including a single-structure epoxy compound, wherein the content of the single-structure epoxy compound is 85 wt% or more, based on a total amount of 100 wt% of the epoxy component, and the single-structure epoxy compound is selected from bisphenol A diglycidyl ether or bisphenol F diglycidyl ether; and a curing agent component, including a polyetheramine curing agent; wherein, The mixed viscosity of the resin composition for the wind turbine blade is 150 cps to 350 cps at 25°C, and the time for the mixed viscosity of the resin composition for the wind turbine blade to double at 25°C is greater than 200 minutes.

2. The resin composition for wind turbine blades as described in claim 1, wherein, Based on a total epoxy component of 100 wt%, the content of this single-structure epoxy compound is above 99 wt%.

3. The resin composition for wind turbine blades as described in any one of claims 1 to 2, wherein, The curing agent composition contains only one type of polyetheramine curing agent.

4. The resin composition for wind turbine blades as described in any one of claims 1 to 2, wherein, The polyetheramine curing agent is poly(propylene ether diamine).

5. The resin composition for wind turbine blades as described in claim 1, wherein, The epoxy component also includes a diluent, and the content of the diluent is less than 15 wt% based on the total amount of the epoxy component being 100 wt%.

6. The resin composition for wind turbine blades as described in claim 5, wherein, The diluent is selected from 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether, C12 to C14 alkylglycidyl ether, or a combination thereof.
