Abstract
Claims
1. A management and control system for updating container computing clusters based on virtual machines and upgrade servers, comprising: The system comprises a delivery server, at least one original virtual machine, and a container computing cluster. The delivery server takes a snapshot of the original virtual machine to create a virtual machine snapshot. The delivery server, used to create the virtual machine snapshot, delivers at least one new virtual machine based on a new version of the new container node and a new version of the new operating system. The delivery server, used to create the virtual machine snapshot, then adds the new version of the new container node of the new virtual machine to the container computing cluster for management. The delivery server, used to create the virtual machine snapshot, updates / replaces the original container node and original operating system of the original virtual machine with the new version of the new container node and the new version of the new operating system in the container computing cluster, respectively. An upgrade server is also included. The server is a communication link between the provisioning server, the original virtual machine, and the container cluster. The upgrade server migrates the microservices running on the original container node of the original virtual machine to the new container node of the new version in the container cluster. The provisioning server, which creates the virtual machine snapshot, then confirms the migration status of the microservices with the upgrade server. If the migration status of the microservices is successful, it is confirmed that the microservices are running normally or abnormally in the new version of the new container node. If the migration status of the microservices is failed or the microservices are running abnormally in the new version of the new container node, the provisioning server uses the created virtual machine snapshot to restore the original virtual machine to its initial state.
2. The control system as described in claim 1, wherein, The delivery server delivers the new virtual machine according to the user's expected new version of the new container node and the new version of the new operating system, and the number of the new virtual machine and the new container node is equal to the number of the original virtual machine and the original container node.
3. The control system as described in claim 1, wherein, The delivery server also records information about the original virtual machine, the new virtual machine, and the container computing cluster. When the delivery server notifies the upgrade server to perform the migration operation of the microservice, the delivery server synchronizes the information about the original virtual machine, the new virtual machine, and the container computing cluster to the upgrade server, so that the upgrade server can connect to the original container node and the new container node.
4. The control system as described in claim 1 further includes at least one network device, which is configured by the supply server to adjust the network connection settings of the network device from the original virtual machine to the new virtual machine, so that the network device is changed from being connected to the original virtual machine to being connected to the new virtual machine.
5. The management system as described in claim 1 further includes at least one network device, which, upon confirming that the migration status of the microservice is a migration failure or that the microservice is abnormally running on the new container node, adjusts the network device to connect to the original virtual machine, and the delivery server deletes the new virtual machine.
6. The control system as described in claim 1 further includes a virtualization platform, wherein the supply server uses the snapshot technology of the virtualization platform to take a snapshot of the original virtual machine on the virtualization platform to create a snapshot of the original virtual machine.
7. A method for managing container computing clusters based on virtual machines and upgrade servers, comprising: A provisioning server takes a snapshot of at least one original virtual machine to create a virtual machine snapshot. The provisioning server that created the snapshot then provisiones at least one new virtual machine based on a new version of the container node and a new version of the operating system. The provisioning server that created the snapshot then adds the new version of the container node of the new virtual machine to a container compute cluster for management. This allows the provisioning server that created the snapshot to update / replace the original container node and operating system of the original virtual machine with the new version of the container node and operating system in the container compute cluster. The system involves an upgrade server migrating a microservice running on the original container node of the original virtual machine to a new container node of the new version in the container computing cluster. The installation server, which creates a snapshot of the virtual machine, then confirms the migration status of the microservice with the upgrade server. If the migration status of the microservice is successful, the system confirms whether the microservice is running normally or abnormally in the new version of the new container node. If the migration status of the microservice is failed or the microservice is running abnormally in the new version of the new container node, the installation server uses the created snapshot of the virtual machine to restore it to the initial state of the original virtual machine.
8. The control method as described in claim 7 further includes the provisioning server providing the new virtual machine according to the new version of the new container node and the new version of the new operating system as expected by the user, and the number of the new virtual machine and the new container node is equal to the number of the original virtual machine and the original container node.
9. The control method as described in claim 7 further includes the provisioning server recording information about the original virtual machine, the new virtual machine, and the container computing cluster, so that when the provisioning server notifies the upgrade server to perform the migration operation of the microservice, the provisioning server synchronizes the information about the original virtual machine, the new virtual machine, and the container computing cluster to the upgrade server, so that the upgrade server can connect to the original container node and the new container node.
10. The control method as described in claim 7 further includes the supply server adjusting the network connection settings of at least one network device from the original virtual machine to the new virtual machine, so that the network device changes from being connected to the original virtual machine to being connected to the new virtual machine.
11. The control method as described in claim 7 further includes, when it is confirmed that the migration status of the microservice is successful and the microservice is running normally on the new container node, the delivery server notifies the upgrade server to adjust the information of the container computing cluster and confirm the running status, so that the upgrade server removes the original container node, so that the upgrade server ensures that only the new container node is in the container computing cluster, and the original container node is not in the container computing cluster.
12. The control method as described in claim 7 further includes the supply server using snapshot technology of a virtualization platform to take a snapshot of the original virtual machine on the virtualization platform to create a snapshot of the original virtual machine.
13. A computer-readable medium, applied in a computing device or computer, storing instructions and executing the computer-readable medium via a processor and memory, such that, when the computer-readable medium is executed, the control method for updating container computing clusters based on virtual machines and upgrade servers as described in any one of claims 7 to 12 is performed.
