Abstract

This invention provides a low-voltage source generating device for an electric vehicle. The device may include a battery pack and a voltage regulator. The battery pack may include a plurality of battery cells and can be used to provide a high-voltage source after the electric vehicle is started. A voltage regulator is coupled to a group of series-connected battery cells to provide a low-voltage source for starting the electric vehicle.

Claims

1. A low-voltage source generating device for electric vehicles, comprising: A battery pack, comprising a plurality of battery cells, is used to provide a high voltage source after an electric vehicle is started; And a voltage regulator coupled to one of the aforementioned multiple battery cells in series to provide a low voltage source for starting one of the aforementioned electric vehicles.

The low voltage source generating device for electric vehicles as described in claim 1 further includes: A protection circuit is coupled to the voltage regulator, wherein the protection circuit includes a transient voltage suppressor, an input filter capacitor circuit, a power supply protection circuit, and an inductor-capacitor filter circuit.

3. The low voltage source generating device for electric vehicles as claimed in claim 2, wherein the transient voltage suppressor is used to prevent a surge voltage.

The low voltage source generating device for electric vehicles as claimed in claim 2, wherein the power protection circuit includes a back-to-back metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) circuit and an ideal diode controller, wherein a first MOSFET of the back-to-back MOSFET circuit is used for reverse voltage protection, and a second MOSFET of the back-to-back MOSFET circuit is used for overvoltage protection and undervoltage protection.

5. The low voltage source generating device for electric vehicles as claimed in claim 2, wherein the aforementioned inductor-capacitor filter circuit includes an inductor-capacitor filter and a large-capacity capacitor for electromagnetic interference suppression and voltage stabilization.

6. The low voltage source generating device for electric vehicles as claimed in claim 1, wherein the battery pack includes a plurality of battery modules and a main battery management system, and each battery module includes a subordinate battery management system.

7. The electric vehicle low voltage source generating device as claimed in claim 6, wherein one of the plurality of battery modules includes the aforementioned series-connected battery cells and the aforementioned voltage regulator.

8. A method for generating a low voltage source for an electric vehicle, applicable to an electric vehicle low voltage source generating device, comprising: The voltage regulator of the electric vehicle low voltage source generating device is used to regulate the voltage of a group of series-connected battery cells in the battery pack of the electric vehicle low voltage source generating device to provide a low voltage source for starting an electric vehicle; and the battery pack provides a high voltage source after the electric vehicle is started.

The method for generating a low voltage source in an electric vehicle as claimed in claim 8, wherein one of the protection circuits of the aforementioned low voltage source generating device for an electric vehicle includes a transient voltage suppressor, an input filter capacitor circuit, a power supply protection circuit, and an inductor-capacitor filter circuit.

10. The method for generating a low voltage source in an electric vehicle as claimed in claim 9, wherein the transient voltage suppressor is used to prevent a surge voltage.
