Abstract

An aluminum slag stabilizer comprises 15-55 wt% ferrous chloride and 45-85 wt% calcium oxide. In an aluminum slag stabilization method, the aluminum slag stabilizer, aluminum slag, and water are mixed and subjected to a hydrolysis reaction. The resulting stabilized aluminum slag can be applied to a controlled low-strength material. The controlled low-strength material comprises 2-15 wt% a binder, 5-50 wt% the stabilized aluminum slag, 5-50 wt% coarse particles, 5-40 wt% fine particles, and 2-10 wt% mixing water. This invention can quickly and effectively stabilize the aluminum slag and reuse the stabilized aluminum slag in the controlled low-strength material.

Claims

1. An aluminum slag stabilizer, comprising 15-55 wt% ferrous chloride and 45-85 wt% calcium oxide.

2. A method for stabilizing aluminum slag, comprising a stabilization step of mixing an aluminum slag, an aluminum slag stabilizer and water, and causing the aluminum slag, the aluminum slag stabilizer and water to undergo a hydrolysis reaction, wherein the aluminum slag stabilizer is composed of 15-55 wt% ferrous chloride and 45-85 wt% calcium oxide.

3. The aluminum slag stabilization method of claim 2, wherein in the stabilization step, 10-50 wt% of the aluminum slag, 10-40 wt% of the aluminum slag stabilizer and 10-50 wt% of the water are mixed.

4. The aluminum slag stabilization method as described in claim 2, wherein the aluminum slag, the aluminum slag stabilizer, and the water are mixed and reacted for 30-150 minutes.

5. The aluminum slag stabilization method as described in Request 2, wherein the aluminum slag is secondary aluminum slag.

6. The aluminum slag stabilization method of claim 2 further includes a firing step, wherein the aluminum slag is fired at a temperature of 700-900 degrees Celsius after the stabilization step.

7. The aluminum slag stabilization method of claim 2 further includes a screening step, wherein the aluminum slag is screened before the stabilization step to obtain aluminum slag with a particle size not greater than 840 μm.

8. A controlled low-strength material comprising 2-15 wt% of a binder, 5-50 wt% of stabilized aluminum slag, 5-50 wt% of coarse particles, 5-40 wt% of fine particles and 2-10 wt% of mixing water, wherein the stabilized aluminum slag is an aluminum slag treated by the aluminum slag stabilization method described in any one of claims 2 to 7.

9. The controlled low-strength material as claimed in claim 8, wherein the binder is cement, fly ash, or a geological conditioner.

10. The controlled low-strength material as claimed in claim 8, further comprising a chemical additive in an amount greater than 0 wt% and not greater than 1 wt%.
