Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The exemplary embodiments of the present invention relate to an information providing method and an electronic device using the information providing method. Prior Technology
[0002] With the development of electronic devices including smartphones, the number of users of e-commerce service platforms is increasing. Specifically, as major brick-and-mortar shopping malls shift online, the frequency of registering payment systems on e-commerce service platforms and using these payment systems online is increasing.
[0003] In the process of users registering for a payment system on an e-commerce service platform, users typically set security information (such as a password) by entering the number of one of their credit cards. Allowing voice input as an auditory element, along with a visual element, when setting security information can increase the user base of the e-commerce service platform.
[0004] Meanwhile, in Korean Unexamined Patent Publication No. 10-2015-0146061, voice authentication is used in a user authentication method, but this is a method for generating a one-time password (OTP), and does not disclose various methods for voice input for a user's security information input. Summary of the Invention
[0005] [Technical Objectives] In one of the e-commerce service platforms that implements online payments, users with extremely low vision or visual impairments may experience inconvenience when using the platform to enter the security information required for registering a payment option or using the registered payment option by relying on the keypad.
[0006] The present invention relates to a method for a user to input security information in various ways, specifically a method for providing information by voice, enabling the user to input security information by voice and to use an electronic device of the method. [Technical Solutions]

[0021] In this context, it is understood that flowcharts and blocks of flowchart combinations can be executed by computer program instructions. Since these computer program instructions can be installed on the processor of a general-purpose computer, a special-purpose computer, or other programmable data processing device, the execution of these instructions by the processor of the computer or other programmable data processing device produces means for performing the functions described in the blocks(s) of the flowchart. Since these computer program instructions can also be stored in a computer-usable or computer-readable memory of a computer or other programmable data processing device to implement functions in a specific manner, the computer program instructions stored in that computer-usable or computer-readable memory can also produce an article of art containing instruction means for performing the functions described in the blocks(s) of the flowchart. Since the computer program instructions can also be installed on a computer or other programmable data processing device, the execution of a series of operations on the computer or other programmable data processing device to produce a program executed by the computer to execute the instructions of the computer or other programmable data processing device can also provide operations for performing the functions described in the blocks(s) of the flowchart.
[0022] Furthermore, each block may indicate a module, fragment, or portion of code containing one or more executable instructions for performing one or more specific logical functions. Additionally, in some alternative exemplary embodiments, the functions mentioned in a block occur regardless of a sequence. For example, two blocks drawn consecutively may actually execute simultaneously or sometimes, depending on the corresponding functions, execute in a reverse sequence.
[0023] Figure 1 is a block diagram illustrating an apparatus for providing services according to various exemplary embodiments of the present invention.
[0024] Referring to Figure 1, an electronic device 100 and a server 200 can each transmit and receive data with different nodes, and each can connect to these nodes through a network.
[0025] Electronic device 100 may be a device such as a smartphone, a tablet computer, a PC, or the like. Electronic device 100 may include a processor, a transceiver, a memory, and the like as internal components, but the invention is not limited thereto. The processor of electronic device 100 can handle a series of operations for performing the information provision methods according to various exemplary embodiments of the invention. The processor can control other components of electronic device 100.
[0026] The transceiver of electronic device 100 can be used to transmit information stored in the memory of electronic device 100 or information processed by the processor to another device or to receive information from another device for use by electronic device 100.
[0027] The storage of the electronic device 100 is a data structure implemented in a predetermined storage space of the electronic device 100, and can freely perform functions such as storing, retrieving, deleting, editing or adding data. For example, the storage may include fields or components for processing functions such as storing, retrieving, deleting, editing or adding data.
[0028] Server 200 can provide electronic device 100 with information for performing the information provision method of the present invention or with guidance information for receiving information. Server 200 may be a server operating a service platform, and the server platform may be an e-commerce platform.
[0029] A network can refer to a structure that transmits or receives data between nodes of a plurality of devices and a plurality of servers. Examples of networks may include a radio frequency (RF) network, an LTE network, a fifth-generation (5G) network, the Internet, a local area network (LAN), a wireless LAN, a wide area network (WAN), a Bluetooth network, a near field communication (NFC) network, and the like, but the invention is not limited thereto.
[0030] Figure 2 is a schematic flowchart illustrating one of the exemplary embodiments of the information providing method according to the present invention.
[0031] Figure 2 is a diagram illustrating a process of inputting security information based on an input obtained through an event, where the event is provided when inputting selected information is obtained on the page for inputting security information.
[0032] Operation S210 includes providing a security information input page comprising a first area and a second area. This security information input page is available when registering for a payment option in a service or when making a payment using the payment option registered in the service. The service may be a product sales service (such as an e-commerce platform). The payment option may be a credit card, and registration for the payment option may be an operation of entering information about a credit card connected to a fintech-based payment option used in the service. The first area may include a virtual keypad for inputting security information, which may include a keypad format containing image or text information, and the security information may be information used to authorize payment for the payment option used in the service and to identify the user who registered for the payment option. The second area may include selection information for selecting a security information input method, and this selection information may be displayed in a portion of the second area. The second area may be implemented as a selection area for inputting security information using a method different from the virtual keypad method of the first area. The virtual keypad may be a secure keypad or a secure keyboard displayed on an electronic device to enhance security, but the type of keypad is not limited.
[0033] Operation S220 includes providing an event for receiving user voice input based on input to selection information. The user can perform an input to select a selection area from which selection information can be selected. For example, the user can perform a double touch or select a selection area. The case where the event is provided by selecting a selection area can be the case where the user performs a selection area input, which can be the case where the user performs a first input to the selection information.
[0034] For example, when a visually impaired person is one of the users, the name of the dragged selection area can be output via voice when the user performs a drag input. When the user performs a drag input on a selection area where selection information can be selected, a voice prompt can be output indicating selection information such as "enter via voice," "enter via an Automatic Response System (ARS)," or "execute a voice input application." In this case, the user's first input to the selection information can be a double-click or two consecutive selections on the selection area where selection information is selected, and no sound is output when the first input is received, but an event is provided based on the selection information. When a visually impaired person is the user, the electronic device can be set to a default value such that a selection input provided to the electronic device on a portion of the page is output via voice, so that the name of that portion of the area can be confirmed, and a double-click or two consecutive selections on the same area are not output via voice, but a specified operation is performed on that portion of the area. That is, when a visually impaired person is the user, the name of the area dragged via a drag input is confirmed via voice. When an operation to be performed is a double-click or two consecutive selections on a specified selection area, a specified operation is provided without sound output. Two consecutive selections may mean, for example, that a situation is obtained within a few seconds (e.g., 0.5 seconds) after releasing a drag input to reselect an input from the released area.
[0035] In another instance, when the user is not visually impaired, the operation can be performed in the same manner as if the user were visually impaired, and when the electronic device is operating within a preset setting, it can output a separate sound without responding to one of the user's selection inputs. The first input for selection information performed by a user other than a visually impaired person can be a selection input by clicking on a selection area where selection information can be selected.
[0036] The electronic device may provide an event for receiving voice input from the user after receiving initial input from the user regarding selection information. This event for receiving voice input includes a voice call, the execution of an application associated with a security information input page, and similar events. For example, a user may receive a voice call and respond to a security information input request prompted in that voice call by entering security information via voice. In another example, an application running on the electronic device may be authorized to control a voice input device on the electronic device, and in response to a security information input request prompted by a service, the user may enter security information via voice through the voice input device controlled by the application.
[0037] Operation S230 includes obtaining security information based on voice input obtained through an event. Voice input can be voice input by the user. Alternatively, the method of obtaining security information can include obtaining security information via a virtual keyboard on a security information input page or a separate virtual keyboard.
[0038] Figures 3A and 3B are exemplary views of a security information input page and a virtual keyboard, respectively, according to various exemplary embodiments of the present invention.
[0039] Figure 3A can be an example of an area and information displayed on a security information input page, and Figure 3B can be an example of a virtual keyboard displayed in an area on a security information input page.
[0040] According to various exemplary embodiments, a first area 310 and a second area 320 may be displayed on a security information input page 300, a virtual keypad may be provided in the first area 310, and a selection information 321, a security information input portion 322 and a security information setting message 323 may be provided in the second area 320.
[0041] Referring to Figure 3A, the first area 310 is shown as a lower part of the security information input page 300, and the second area 320 is shown as an upper part of the security information input page 300. However, this is only an example, and the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0042] Selection information 321 may be displayed in a portion of the second area 320 and may be implemented as a selection area for inputting security information in a manner different from the virtual keypad of the first area 310. When a user performs input (e.g., a first input) on a selection area of selection information 321, a security information input method set for selection information 321 becomes operable. The security information input method set for selection information 321 may be a voice input method. Executing the set security information input method may provide an event.
[0043] The security information input section 322 can be a part of the system that inputs security information based on the user's input. For example, when a user's voice input is obtained by a syllable, one character at a time can be input as security information into the security information input section 322 based on the obtained voice input. The security information setting message 323 can be a message displayed to guide the user in setting the security information. The security information setting message 323 can include various guidance messages, and can include a message prompting the user to confirm by re-entering the entered security information, and can include a security information setting completion message. Setting or resetting security information involves a process in which the user enters security information two or more times. The security information setting message 323 includes a process to confirm whether the security information initially entered by the user is the expected input. When the initially entered security information and the security information entered at a later time do not match, an additional verification process (e.g., the nth security information input) can be performed to confirm a match. When the setting or resetting of security information is completed through this verification process, a security information setting completion message can be displayed. Additionally, when a user makes a payment using the security information set in the service, the security information setting message 323 may include a request message for entering security information, a payment completion message, and similar messages.
[0044] According to various exemplary embodiments, the virtual keypad provided in the first region 310 includes a plurality of keys. Additionally, the virtual keypad includes a first type illustration 311 and a second type illustration 312. The first type illustration 311 includes image information corresponding to the keys of the virtual keypad, and the assignment of text information corresponding to these keys is omitted. The second type illustration 312 includes image information related to a security information input, and the text information corresponding to the security information input is assigned to the keys.
[0045] Referring to Figure 3B, the first type of illustration 311 includes image information corresponding to the number keys 0 to 9 and a delete key, but the text information corresponding to individual keys is omitted. For example, when a user inputs security information into the first type of illustration 311, even when the user selects the number 5, the number 5 is not used as security information input, and the name of the image information indicating the entire virtual keypad can be output to the user via sound. This can originate from a method of providing voice guidance to a visually impaired person in an electronic device or service. When a visually impaired person is the user, when the user performs drag input, the name of the image information used for drag-selected area is indicated by sound, and when a double-click or two consecutive selections are performed on the same area after drag input, an input is set in the area where the input is performed. This can mean obtaining user input through the virtual keypad corresponding to the second type of illustration 312.
[0046] Referring to Figure 3B, the second type of illustration 312 includes both image information corresponding to the number keys from 0 to 9 and a delete key, and text information for individual keys. This means that when inputting security information as a normal virtual keypad, the coordinates of individual keys are set. For example, when a visually impaired person is the user, the virtual keypad can operate as the first type of illustration 311 when the user drags and drops input, and when the output of a sound like "number 5" confirms the position of the dragged number 5 on the virtual keypad and the drag is released, and a double-click or two consecutive selection inputs are obtained on the area containing the number 5, the virtual keypad can operate as the second type of illustration 312. In addition, in electronic devices or services, for users other than visually impaired persons, the second type of illustration 312 can be a setting that is basically applied to the virtual keypad. An input (such as in Figures 3A and 3B) for selecting an area of individual keys, such that an input that performs a specified operation on an individual key in the virtual keypad for the security information input page is described as a second input, similar to the first input, for the selection information in the second area. For example, when a visually impaired person is the user, the user's drag-and-drop input on the virtual keypad in the first area corresponds to the operation of the first type icon 311 in Figure 3A, and the name of the area selected by the drag-and-drop input is output by sound. A double-click or two consecutive selections on the virtual keypad in the first area correspond to the second input and thus constitute the operation of the second type icon 312, and the safety information of the selected area's key (e.g., the number 5) is obtained. That is, when a visually impaired person is the user, the virtual keypad can switch from the first type icon 311 to the second type icon 312, or vice versa, depending on whether the user's input method is drag-and-drop input or the first type input.
[0047] Figure 4 is a schematic flowchart illustrating one of the exemplary embodiments of the present invention for security information input.
[0048] Operation 410 includes acquiring one input on a virtual keypad. In operation 410, the virtual keypad may be a keypad used as a second-type icon (e.g., the second-type icon in Figure 3). For example, in the case where a visually impaired user is operating, the virtual keypad may be used as a second-type icon by double-clicking or selecting two consecutive inputs after dragging input. In another instance, in the case where the user is not visually impaired, the operation may be a second-type icon (which is a virtual keypad used in a preset setting).
[0049] Operation 420 includes acquiring security information based on input obtained via a virtual keypad. Operation 430 includes checking whether the acquired security information matches. For example, in a procedure for setting or resetting security information, security information can be acquired via voice input. After acquiring the voice input, operation 430 can be performed to check whether the user's expected security information has been correctly entered. For example, if a visually impaired person is the user, when acquiring security information via voice on the security information input page, the security information input page can output the acquired security information (e.g., a six-digit number) to the user to check whether the acquired security information matches the expected security information. In this case, the user can provide a response of "yes" or "no" to the voice input input regarding whether the security information matches. In another example, if a visually impaired person is the user, when acquiring security information via input via a virtual keypad on the security information input page, a voice prompt instructing the user to re-enter the acquired security information or requesting a "yes" or "no" response can be output. When the initially entered security information matches security information entered at a later time, or when the user confirms the match through their response, the security information input ends and a security information setting completion message is provided.
[0050] Figure 5 is an exemplary view illustrating a secure information input via a virtual keypad according to various exemplary embodiments of the present invention.
[0051] Component symbol 510 in Figure 5 illustrates an example of a user input on at least a portion of a first area (e.g., first area 310 in Figure 3A) of a security information input page (e.g., security information input page 300 in Figure 3A). As shown in component symbol 510 in Figure 5, a user input on a second type icon (e.g., second type icon 312 in Figure 3B) of a virtual keypad in the first area can be a second input. For example, component symbol 510 in Figure 5 may correspond to a situation where, in the case of a visually impaired user, the virtual keypad acts as a second type icon when a double-click or two consecutive selection inputs are obtained after the user drags the input. In another instance, component symbol 510 in Figure 5 may correspond to a situation where the second type icon is applied to the virtual keypad as a preset value for a user other than a visually impaired person in an electronic device or service.
[0052] Component symbol 520 in Figure 5 illustrates an example of filling one character at a time into a security information input section of the second area (e.g., the second area 320 in Figure 3A) when an input is obtained via the virtual keypad of the security information input page. Component symbol 520 in Figure 5 also illustrates an example of a state where three out of six digits of security information are filled in via user input (e.g., the second input) on the virtual keypad. When all six digits of security information are filled in, a procedure can be executed to request the re-entry of the obtained security information and check if it matches the obtained security information, or to check if the obtained security information matches the expected security information by outputting the obtained security information by voice. Component symbols 510 and 520 in Figure 5 can be examples of operations 410 and 420 in Figure 4.
[0053] Component symbol 530 in Figure 5 is an example of a procedure where security information is entered again to check if the acquired security information matches. Component symbol 530 in Figure 5 can be an example of operation 430 in Figure 4.
[0054] Component symbol 540 in Figure 5 is one example of providing a message indicating the end of security information input and the completion of security information settings. For example, when registering to use a payment option in a service, the page for setting a password for the payment option in component symbol 540 in Figure 5 can be a security information input page, and the guidance message indicating that password setting is complete can be a security information setting completion message. In another example, when making a payment using a payment option registered in the service, component symbol 540 in Figure 5 can be a payment completion message provided because the security information matches the registered security information.
[0055] Figure 6 is a schematic flowchart illustrating a secure information input method via voice input according to various exemplary embodiments of the present invention.
[0056] Figure 6 is a diagram illustrating the process of a user selecting an input method other than a virtual keyboard on a security information input page (e.g., security information input page 300 in Figure 3A) to input security information.
[0057] Operation 610 includes checking whether user input (e.g., first input) has been obtained for selection information displayed on a portion of the security information input page (e.g., selection information 321 in Figure 3A). Selection information includes, for example, a security information input method via voice input. The user's first input may differ from drag input. One scenario where an event is provided by an input for selecting a selection area of selection information may be a scenario where the user performs an input for selecting a selection area of selection information, and this may be a scenario where the user performs the first input for selection information. For example, when a visually impaired person is the user, the input for selection information may be a double-click or two consecutive selections on the area where selection information is displayed. In another instance, when the user is not visually impaired, the input for selection information may be a click on the area where selection information is displayed.
[0058] Operation 620 includes providing a voice call based on input for selection information, which is one of the events used to receive a user's voice input. The voice call may be an event provided by a server offering a service using an ARS. For example, the user can check if a voice call has been received from a portion of the security information input page. In another instance, the security information input page switches to a voice call receiving page, and the user can check if the voice call has been received. When the user receives the voice call of operation 620, the operation continues to operation 630.
[0059] Operation 630 includes providing a voice call page. The electronic device provides this voice call page when the user receives a voice call. For example, when the user checks whether a voice call has been received from a portion of the security information input page and receives the voice call, the security information input page switches to the voice call page. In another example, when the security information input page switches to the voice call receiving page and the user receives a voice call after checking whether it has been received, the voice call page is provided as is. The user can input security information using a voice input or a separate virtual keypad, following one of the instructions on the voice call page.
[0060] Operation 640 includes acquiring security information via voice input or input from a separate virtual keypad by one of the users. This separate virtual keypad is different from the virtual keypad in the first area of the security information input page (e.g., first area 310 in Figure 3B) and may be provided in a voice call page or via a voice input application. User input on the separate virtual keypad may be a third input, and one operation of the separate virtual keypad may be the same as the operation of the virtual keypad operated by a second type icon (e.g., second type icon 312 in Figure 3B) in the security information input page. The third input on the separate virtual keypad may be the same as the input on the virtual keypad operated by the second type icon. The first, second, and third inputs in this specification can be distinguished based on which area of user input is performed. Users can set security information via voice input in the voice call page or using the separate virtual keypad, and the method of security information input in the voice call page provided by an ARS is not limited to this.
[0061] Figure 7 is an exemplary view illustrating a secure information input via voice input according to various exemplary embodiments of the present invention.
[0062] Figure 7 can be a detailed example of one of Figure 6.
[0063] Component symbol 710 in Figure 7 is an example of an input (e.g., a first input) performed on a security information input page (e.g., security information input page 300 in Figure 3A), where the user can select information (e.g., selection information 321 in Figure 3A). For example, as shown in Figure 5, the user can input security information via a virtual keypad on the security information input page without performing input on the selection information. In another example, the user can input security information via voice input based on an event provided for input on the selection information, as shown in component symbol 710 in Figure 7.
[0064] Component symbol 720 in Figure 7 is an example of an event provided based on user input for selected information. The event of component symbol 720 in Figure 7 could be a voice call (such as an ARS). The user can check whether the voice call was received from a portion of area 721 in the security information input page. Component symbols 710 and 720 in Figure 7 could be examples of operations 610 and 620 in Figure 6.
[0065] The component symbol 730 in Figure 7 is an example of the security information input page switching to a voice call page when the user checks whether a voice call has been received from a portion 721 of the security information input page and receives the voice call. The component symbol 730 in Figure 7 can be an example of operation 630 in Figure 6.
[0066] Component symbols 740 or 750 in Figure 7 can be an example of obtaining security information by acquiring input on a separate virtual keypad (e.g., a third input) or by voice input, based on a message instructing the user to receive a voice call. For example, component symbol 740 in Figure 7 can be an example of obtaining security information by the user entering security information using a separate virtual keypad on the voice call page, different from the virtual keypad on the security information input page. In another example, component symbol 750 in Figure 7 can be an example of obtaining security information by the user through voice input on the voice call page. Component symbols 740 or 750 in Figure 7 can be an example of operation 630 in Figure 6.
[0067] The component symbol 760 in Figure 7 can be an example of a setup completion message or a payment completion message for security information obtained by a user through input via a separate virtual keypad or voice input. The component symbol 760 in Figure 7 is provided by switching from a voice call page to a security information input page, and can be a security information setup completion message when setting or resetting security information for a payment option used in the service, and a payment completion message when making a payment in the service through a previously registered payment option.
[0068] Figure 8 is a schematic flowchart illustrating a secure information input through an application according to various exemplary embodiments of the present invention.
[0069] Figure 8 is a diagram illustrating the process of a user selecting an input method other than a virtual keyboard on a security information input page (e.g., security information input page 300 in Figure 3A) to input security information.
[0070] Operation 810 includes checking whether a user input (e.g., a first input) has been obtained for the selection information displayed on a portion of the security information input page (e.g., selection information 321 in Figure 3A). This description is replaced by the description of operation 610 in Figure 6.
[0071] Operation 820 includes providing execution of an application (e.g., a voice input application) based on input of selection information, the execution of which is used to receive an event of voice input from a user. Here, the application may be a voice input application executed in a default setting of an electronic device, and an authorized voice input device for controlling an electronic device (e.g., electronic device 100 of FIG. 1). The application may be executed in conjunction with a service-related application (e.g., a service application), and is used to obtain a user's voice input when the service-related application is initially installed and then executed, and is authorized to control the voice input device of the electronic device. The user can input security information by voice through a voice input device controlled by the application. The execution of the application may be an event provided by a service-related application or a service providing server that controls the application. For example, the user may check whether the application is executed from a portion of the security information input page. The application can be executed on the security information input page, unlike the voice call event in Figure 6, and can operate in the background without providing a separate page.
[0072] Operation 830 includes acquiring security information via voice input or a separate virtual keypad input by one of the users. Users can set security information via voice input or using a separate virtual keypad, and the method of inputting security information through the application is not limited to these.
[0073] Figure 9 is an illustrative view of secure information input through an application according to various exemplary embodiments of the present invention.
[0074] Figure 9 can be a detailed example of one of Figure 8.
[0075] The component symbol 910 in Figure 9 is an example of performing an input (e.g., a first input) in an area where a user can select selection information (e.g., selection information 321 in Figure 3A) on a security information input page (e.g., security information input page 300 in Figure 3A). This description is replaced by the description of operation 710 in Figure 7.
[0076] Component symbol 920 in Figure 9 is an example of an event provided based on user input for selection information. The event of component symbol 920 in Figure 9 can be the execution of an application. The user can check whether the application is executed from a portion of the secure information input page. The application generally described in Figures 8 and 9 can be an application authorized to control a voice input device of an electronic device (e.g., electronic device 100 in Figure 1) after the execution of a service-related application (e.g., a service application) or a separate voice input application. For example, being authorized to control the voice input device of an electronic device means granting permission to control the voice input device in a settings tab of the electronic device after the service-related application is installed, and in this specification, for ease of description, the application is referred to as a voice input application. In this case, a service-related application can be executed to obtain security information by inputting voice through a voice input device on an electronic device. In component symbol 920 of Figure 9, "execute voice input application" can be replaced by a guidance message providing an event similar to "execute voice input". Alternatively, a separate voice input application can be a voice input application downloadable from an application marketplace or similar provided within the software environment of an electronic device. As a voice input application, there can be an algorithm capable of inputting voice itself, which can correspond to a third-party application executed together with an application other than the service-related application. Component symbols 910 and 920 of Figure 9 can be examples of operations 810 and 820 of Figure 8.
[0077] Component symbols 930 and 940 in Figure 9 can be examples of obtaining security information by acquiring input (e.g., a third input) via a separate virtual keypad or by acquiring voice input through an application. For example, component symbol 930 in Figure 9 can be an example of obtaining security information by voice input within an application. In another example, component symbol 940 in Figure 9 can be an example of obtaining security information by the user entering security information via a separate virtual keypad within an application, distinct from the virtual keypad on the security information input page. Component symbols 930 or 940 in Figure 9 can be examples of operation 830 in Figure 8.
[0078] The component symbol 950 in Figure 9 can be an example of a setup completion message or a payment completion message for security information obtained through input via a separate virtual keypad or by voice input from a user. The component symbol 950 in Figure 9 is provided on a security information input page and can serve as a security information setup completion message when setting or resetting security information for a payment option used in the service, and as a payment completion message when making a payment through a previously registered payment option in the service.
[0079] Figure 10 is a schematic flowchart illustrating one of the sound outputs in a secure information input program according to various exemplary embodiments of the present invention.
[0080] Figure 10 is a diagram illustrating a process of checking whether there is a sound output device connected to an electronic device (e.g., electronic device 100 in Figure 1) and, when there is no sound output device connected to the electronic device, distinguishing a default sound output device of the electronic device to output sound according to a user input process.
[0081] Operation 1010 includes checking whether an audio output device connected to the electronic device is detected. The electronic device may include a terminal such as a smartphone, a tablet, a PC, or the like, and the audio output device connected to the electronic device may be a device that outputs sound directly to the ear of an electronic device owner, such as a handset, an earphone, or the like. The connection to the audio output device can be used without restriction, i.e., wireless pairing or a wired connection. Operation 1020 includes outputting sound through the detected audio output device when an audio output device connected to the electronic device is detected.
[0082] Operation 1030 includes viewing a type of input for a predetermined area in the electronic device or a service-related application running on the electronic device when no sound output device connected to the electronic device is detected. For example, when a visually impaired person is the user, operation 1030 can be performed to check whether the user input is a drag-and-drop input. In another instance, when the user is not visually impaired, operation 1030 may not be performed because it is not necessary to view the name of an area selected by the user through drag-and-drop input. When the user is not visually impaired, operation 1040 can be performed through a default sound output device of the electronic device (e.g., a general speaker), and operation 1050 can be set to be performed through a sound output device of a receiver of the electronic device (e.g., a sound output device of a call receiver). Specifically, in operation 1040, content related to guiding input safety information can be output, and in operation 1050, content related to a safety information input can be output. In the following description, operations 1040 and 1050 are based on the scenario where one of the visually impaired persons is the user.
[0083] Operation 1040 includes outputting a sound at a first volume through a first sound output device based on drag input from one of the users. The first sound output device may be a preset sound output device of the electronic device (e.g., a general speaker) and may refer to a sound output device not used during a voice call. The first volume may be a volume that is generally comfortable for the user to hear and may be the volume most frequently used for listening, derived from data accumulated during the user's use of the electronic device. In operation 1040, the name of a region selected by the user may be output at the first volume through the first sound output device based on the user's drag input.
[0084] Operation 1050 includes outputting a sound at a second volume through a second sound output device based on an input other than drag input (e.g., a first input). The second sound output device may mean a sound output device of a receiver in an electronic device (e.g., a sound output device of a call receiver). The second volume may be a volume that is comfortable for the user to hear during a call, and may be a volume most commonly used during a call, derived from data accumulated when the user makes a call through the electronic device. Since content related to security information input is output at a second volume through the second sound output device, for security reasons, the second volume may be lower than the first volume. In operation 1050, request information for requesting voice input from the user may be output at a second volume through the second sound output device.
