Abstract
Claims
1. A lock with an anti-theft latch operating device, comprising: A latching device includes a burglar-proof latch movable to a burglar-proof position and a non-burglar-proof position; An anti-theft latch operating device includes: a mounting base including a mounting space and a first opening; An indicator, housed within the mounting space, includes a lock indicator area and an unlock indicator area, further including a first push groove and a second push groove, the first push groove including a first escape hole and the second push groove including a second escape hole; an inner cover, coupled to the mounting base, the inner cover further including a symmetrically spaced first through hole and a second through hole; a toggle member, rotatably housed within the mounting space; a connecting pin; and a knob, rotatably coupled with the toggle member and coupled to the latching device, the knob pivoting to displace the anti-theft latch between an anti-theft position and a non-anti-theft position; when the anti-theft latch is in the anti-theft position, the lock indicator area is aligned with the first opening; when the anti-theft latch is in the non-anti-theft position, the unlock indicator area is aligned with the first opening; when the connecting pin is misaligned from the first through hole and the second through hole, the connecting pin is constrained between the inner cover and the mounting base; Only when the indicator moves to the point where the first escape hole aligns with the first through hole, the connecting pin can pass through the first through hole, be received in the first push groove, and be detachably engaged with the actuating member. The actuating member pivots to cause the connecting pin to push the indicator moving via the first push groove. Only when the indicator moves to the point where the second escape hole aligns with the second through hole, the connecting pin can pass through the second through hole, be received in the second push groove, and be detachably engaged with the actuating member. The actuating member pivots to cause the connecting pin to push the indicator moving via the second push groove. When the connecting pin is received in the first push groove and the knob pivots in a first direction, the burglar latch moves from the non-burglar position to the burglar position. When the connecting pin is in the first push groove and the knob pivots in a second direction, the burglar latch moves from the burglar position to the non-burglar position. When the connecting pin is in the second push groove and the knob pivots in the first direction, the burglar latch moves from the burglar position to the non-burglar position. When the connecting pin is located in the second push groove and the knob is pivoted in the second direction, the anti-theft latch is displaced from the non-anti-theft position to the anti-theft position.
2. A lock with an anti-theft latch operating device as described in claim 1, wherein the mounting base further includes a sidewall adjacent to the mounting space, the first opening is formed on the sidewall, a second opening is further formed on the sidewall, the inner cover includes an end wall spaced apart from the sidewall, the end wall includes a pivot hole, the actuating member further includes a first pivot portion and a second pivot portion spaced apart from the first pivot portion along the pivot hole, the first pivot portion being pivotally connected to the second opening, and the second pivot portion being pivotally connected to the pivot hole.
3. The lock with an anti-theft latch operating device as described in claim 1, further comprising: A quick-release nut, wherein the actuating element further includes a first pivot portion pivotally connected to the mounting base and a second pivot portion pivotally connected to the inner cover, the actuating element further includes a groove extending from the first pivot portion toward the second pivot portion but spaced apart from the second pivot portion, the actuating element further includes a connecting hole extending from the second pivot portion to the groove; a decorative cover including a viewing window; A linkage rod, rotatable and detachably engaged with the linkage hole, includes one end of which is detachably and movably engaged with the anti-theft latch of the latching device. The knob further includes a shaft portion, which passes through the cover and the mounting base and is received in the groove after the connecting pin is received in the first push groove or the second push groove and the cover is engaged on the outside of the mounting base. The quick-release nut is received in the groove and engaged on the outside of the shaft portion, causing the knob to remain in contact with the toggle. The cover restricts the knob from disengaging from the mounting base and the window is aligned with the first opening. The other end of the linkage rod is rotatably sleeved with the shaft portion of the knob.
4. A lock with an anti-theft latch operating device as described in claim 1, wherein the indicator further comprises: A first part includes a first end and a second end, the first part further including two arms each extending from the first end to the second end, the first end of the first part including a bridging portion connecting the two arms, a space being formed between the two arms to separate the two arms from each other, a first push groove and a second push groove each being located on the two arms and at the second end, and the actuating member being located between the two arms.
5. A lock with an anti-theft latch operating device as described in claim 1, wherein the first push groove includes a first upper side and a first lower side spaced apart along a longitudinal direction parallel to the direction of movement of the indicator, the first escape hole being adjacent to the first lower side; the second push groove includes a second upper side and a second lower side spaced apart along the longitudinal direction, the second escape hole being adjacent to the second lower side; when the connecting pin is located in the first push groove and the knob is pivoted in a first direction, the connecting pin presses against the first lower side, causing the indicator to move to a position where the locking indicator area is aligned with the first opening; when the connecting pin is located in the first push groove and the knob is pivoted in a second direction, the connecting pin presses against the first upper side, causing the indicator to move to a position where the unlocking ... When the knob is pivoted in the first direction within the second push groove, the connecting pin presses against the second upper side, causing the indicator to move to a position where the unlocking indicator area aligns with the first opening. When the connecting pin is located within the second push groove and the knob is pivoted in the second direction, the connecting pin presses against the second lower side, causing the indicator to move to a position where the locking indicator area aligns with the first opening. When the connecting pin is located within the first push groove and the locking indicator area aligns with the first opening, the knob is pivoted further in the first direction, and the connecting pin enters the first escape hole and aligns with the first through hole. When the connecting pin is located within the second push groove and the locking indicator area aligns with the first opening, the knob is pivoted further in the second direction, and the connecting pin enters the second escape hole and aligns with the second through hole.
