Abstract

A display device includes flash memory and a driving circuit. The flash memory stores multiple compensation data corresponding to multiple display modes. The driving circuit includes a data buffer memory and a control circuit. The data buffer memory receives the multiple compensation data. The control circuit provides image signals and light emission signals to pixel circuits. The image signals are generated based on at least one of the image data and the multiple compensation data. When the display device switches from a first display mode to a second display mode, the pixel circuit maintains the light emission state of the light-emitting element according to the light emission signal and prevents the pixel circuit from reading the image signal.

Claims

1. A display device, comprising: a flash memory for storing multiple compensation data corresponding to multiple display modes of the display device; and a driving circuit connected to the flash memory via a communication interface, the driving circuit comprising: a data buffer memory for receiving the compensation data; and a control circuit coupled to the data buffer memory and a pixel circuit for providing an image signal and a light emission signal to the pixel circuit, wherein... The image signal is generated based on at least one of image data and compensation data. The pixel circuit receives the light emission signal to control a light emission state of a light emission element. In response to any switching of the display device from a first display mode to a second display mode, the control circuit further enables the pixel circuit to maintain the light emission state of the light emission element according to the light emission signal and prevents the pixel circuit from reading the image signal.

2. The display device as described in claim 1, wherein, In response to the first display mode of the display device, the image signal is generated based on a first of the image data and the compensation data; in response to the second display mode of the display device, the image signal is generated based on a second of the image data and the compensation data.

3. The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein, in response to the switching period, the light-emitting state of the light-emitting element is the same as a first light-emitting state of the light-emitting element in the first display mode.

4. The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the flash memory transfers only one of the compensation data to the data buffer memory during the switching period.

5. The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a multiplexer transistor is provided between the pixel circuit and the control circuit, and the control circuit transmits the image signal to the pixel circuit in response to the multiplexer transistor being turned on.

6. The display device as described in claim 1, wherein, The control circuit is further coupled to a line scanning circuit and provides a start signal to the line scanning circuit, so that the line scanning circuit outputs a first scan signal and a second scan signal to the pixel circuit according to the start signal; and wherein the control circuit is further configured to make the line scanning circuit set the first scan signal and the second scan signal as invalid signals according to the start signal, thereby preventing the pixel circuit from reading the image signal.

7. The display device as described in claim 6, wherein, In response to the switching period, the row scanning circuit receives the start signal maintained at a first level, making both the first scan signal and the second scan signal invalid signals.

8. The display device as described in claim 6, wherein, In response to a non-switching period of the display device, the line scanning circuit makes the first scan signal and the second scan signal valid signals, thereby enabling the pixel circuit to read the image signal; and the display device stably executes one of the display modes during the non-switching period.

9. The display device as claimed in claim 6, wherein the pixel circuit comprises: a first transistor having a first terminal for receiving a power supply voltage; a data writing circuit for receiving the second scan signal, the light emission signal, and the image signal, and adjusting a gate voltage of the first transistor according to the image signal; a compensation circuit having a first switch and a second switch connected in series between a control terminal and a second terminal of the first transistor, the first switch and the second switch being coupled to a relay terminal and both controlled by the second scan signal; a second transistor coupled between the relay terminal and a reference voltage terminal and controlled by the first scan signal; and a third transistor coupled between the second terminal of the first transistor and the light emission element and controlled by the light emission signal.

10. A brightness compensation switching method, applicable to a display device, the display device including a flash memory, a data buffer memory, a control circuit, and a pixel circuit, the brightness compensation switching method comprising: storing, through the flash memory, multiple compensation data corresponding to multiple display modes of the display device; receiving the compensation data through the data buffer memory; providing an image signal and a light emission signal to the pixel circuit through the control circuit, wherein the image signal is generated based on at least one of the image data and the compensation data; receiving the light emission signal through the pixel circuit to control a light emission state of a light-emitting element; and, in response to any switching of the display device from a first display mode to a second display mode, causing the pixel circuit to maintain the light emission state of the light-emitting element according to the light emission signal, and preventing the pixel circuit from reading the image signal.
