Use of a compound 29A for the preparation of a medicament (compound 29A) for the treatment, prevention and / or reduction of the risk of progression of chronic kidney disease, end-stage renal disease, renal death or cardiovascular death in adult patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) at high risk of disease progression, wherein compound 29A is administered once daily in an amount of 3 mg, 10 mg or 20 mg.

2. As requested in claim 1, wherein the CKD is diabetic chronic kidney disease.

3. As requested in claim 1, wherein the CKD is non-diabetic chronic kidney disease.

4. As requested in item 1, wherein the patient has stage 1 CKD, or stage 2 CKD, or stage 3 CKD, or stage 4 CKD, or stage 5 CKD.

5. The use as claimed in claim 1, wherein the pharmaceutical agent further comprises a pharmaceutically effective amount of an SGLT2 inhibitor or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or is used in combination with a pharmaceutically effective amount of an SGLT2 inhibitor or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

6. As requested in claim 5, wherein the SGLT2 inhibitor is empagliflozin.

7. As requested in item 1, wherein the patient’s estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) is ≥30 and <90 mL / min / 1.73 m2.

8. As requested in claim 1, wherein compound 29A is administered to the patient in an amount of 10 mg.
