Stabilization assembly for image sensor

Abstract

This invention discloses a sensor stabilization assembly comprising: a housing including a first portion of a first electromagnetic component and a second electromagnetic component and defining a housing aperture; a first frame having a first guide allowing relative movement between the first frame and the housing and defining a first frame aperture; and a second frame having a second guide allowing relative movement between the second frame and the first frame. The second frame includes: a second portion of the first electromagnetic component adapted to interact with the first portion to cause movement of the first frame and the second frame relative to the housing; and a second portion of the second electromagnetic component adapted to interact with the first portion to cause movement of the second frame relative to the first frame and the housing. A sensor is coupled to the second frame to capture light passing through the housing aperture and the first housing aperture.
