Technical Field
[0001] This invention relates to an electric cable reel. Prior Technology
[0002] The electric reel described in Patent Document 1 has a motor that drives the spool to rotate (see Figure 4). The electric reel has a motor housing, a cover, and an elastic ring. The motor housing has an opening for inserting the motor. The cover has a retaining portion that retains the motor's rotation shaft and abuts against the end of the opening; and a protrusion that inserts into the inside of the opening. An annular recess is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the protrusion. The elastic ring is disposed in the annular recess and contacts the inner peripheral surface of the opening. [Previous Technical Documents] [Patent Literature]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent No. 6836324 Summary of the Invention
[0004] [The problem the invention aims to solve]
[0005] In previous electric reels, the cover was made of a metal component. In this case, after forming the retaining part and the protrusion, the outer peripheral surface of the protrusion was machined. This formed an annular recess on the outer peripheral surface of the protrusion. However, when the cover is made of a resin component instead of a metal component, the annular recess must be formed by machining the outer peripheral surface of the protrusion after forming the retaining part and the protrusion using resin, thus increasing the number of manufacturing steps.
[0006] Furthermore, when machining to form an annular recess on the outer circumferential surface of the protrusion, the cutting tool is brought close to the outer circumferential surface of the protrusion, and the cutting tool cuts the outer circumferential surface of the protrusion. During this machining, the axial length of the protrusion is set in such a way that the cutting tool does not interfere with the flange of the cover. Therefore, there is a problem that the axial length of the protrusion becomes longer.
[0007] Here, with the motor positioned in the motor housing, the protrusion is located inside the motor housing. Therefore, the longer the axial length of the protrusion, the longer the axial length of the motor housing. That is, the prior art suffers from the problem of an axially enlarged motor housing.
[0008] The purpose of this invention is to provide an electric reel that can reduce the manufacturing steps of the cover and can miniaturize the motor housing in the axial direction. [Technical means to solve the problem]
[0009] One embodiment of the present invention provides an electric cable reel with a motor that drives the spool to rotate. The electric cable reel includes a motor housing, a cover, and an elastic ring. The motor housing has an opening, a first inner peripheral surface, and a first wall. The opening is for inserting the motor. The first inner peripheral surface is provided on the inner surface of the opening. The first wall extends radially from the first inner peripheral surface along the rotation axis of the motor.
[0010] The cover has a retaining portion, a first protrusion, and a second wall portion. The retaining portion holds the rotating shaft of the motor. The first protrusion protrudes from the retaining portion and engages with a first inner circumferential surface. The second wall portion extends radially from the first protrusion along the rotating shaft of the motor. An elastic ring is held by the first wall portion and the second wall portion.
[0011] In this electric reel, the elastic ring is held axially by the first wall of the motor housing and the second wall of the cover, thus effectively preventing water from passing between the cover and the motor housing.
[0012] Furthermore, this electric cable reel utilizes the first wall of the motor housing and the second wall of the cover to clamp the elastic ring. Therefore, unlike prior art, this electric cable reel eliminates the need to form a recess on the outer surface of the first protrusion, thus eliminating the need for machining the first protrusion as in prior art. This shortens the axial length of the first protrusion. In other words, compared to prior art, this electric cable reel reduces the number of manufacturing steps for the cover and allows for axial miniaturization of the motor housing.
[0013] In another embodiment of the present invention, the electric reel preferably has a motor housing portion having a second inner circumferential surface extending axially from the first wall portion along the rotation axis. The cover portion has a second protrusion that engages with the second inner circumferential surface. The elastic ring is held by the first inner circumferential surface and the second protrusion.
[0014] In this configuration, the elastic ring is held radially by the first inner circumferential surface and the second protrusion, thus effectively preventing water from passing between the cover and the motor housing.
[0015] In another embodiment of the electric reel, at least one of the first protrusion and the first inner peripheral surface, and the second protrusion and the second inner peripheral surface, are fitted together. According to this configuration, the cover can be well positioned relative to the motor housing.
[0016] In another embodiment of the electric reel, the cover is preferably provided with an abutting portion that abuts against the outer periphery of the opening. This configuration allows for proper positioning of the cover relative to the motor housing.
[0017] Another embodiment of the electric reel of the present invention preferably has a retaining portion that holds the rotating shaft outside the motor housing portion in the axial direction of the rotating shaft. According to this configuration, the motor housing portion can be miniaturized in the axial direction.
[0018] In another embodiment of the present invention, the electric reel is preferably constructed with a metal cylindrical motor housing and a resin cover. Even with this configuration, the same effects as described above can be achieved, and compared to a metal construction, further weight reduction and cost reduction can be realized. [Effects of the Invention]
[0019] According to the present invention, the manufacturing steps of the electric winding machine can be reduced, and the electric winding machine can be miniaturized in the axial direction. Simple Explanation of the Diagram
[0020] Figure 1 is a top view of an electric reel. Figure 2 is a side view of the electric reel. Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view obtained by cutting the electric reel according to the cutting lines II-III in Figure 2. Figure 4 is an enlarged sectional view of the motor, motor housing, and cover shown in Figure 3. Figure 5 is a partially enlarged sectional view of the motor, motor housing, and cover in Figure 4. Implementation
[0021] Hereinafter, embodiments of the electric cable reel of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the electric cable reel 1 includes a cable reel body 2, a handle 3, and a cable reel 4 (see Figure 2). As shown in Figure 3, the electric cable reel 1 further includes a cable reel shaft 5, a motor 6, a rotation transmission mechanism 7, and a clutch mechanism 8.
[0022] In the following description, the first axial direction refers to the direction in which the axis X1 of the winding drum shaft 5 extends. The first radial direction refers to the radial direction away from the axis X1 of the winding drum shaft 5. As shown in Figure 3, the first circumferential direction refers to the circumferential direction R1 around the axis X1 of the winding drum shaft 5. The first circumferential direction includes the rotational direction of the winding drum shaft 5. Furthermore, the second axial direction refers to the direction in which the axis X2 of the rotating shaft 62 of the motor 6 extends. The second radial direction refers to the radial direction away from the axis X2 of the rotating shaft 62. As shown in Figure 3, the second circumferential direction refers to the circumferential direction R2 around the axis X2 of the rotating shaft 62. The second circumferential direction includes the rotational direction of the rotating shaft 62.
[0023] As shown in Figure 3, the cable reel body 2 has a first cable reel body portion 21, a second cable reel body portion 22, and a connecting portion 23. The first cable reel body portion 21 and the second cable reel body portion 22 are arranged spaced apart from each other along a first axis. The first cable reel body portion 21 and the second cable reel body portion 22 are connected to each other via the connecting portion 23.
[0024] The first winding reel body 21 has a first side plate 21a and a first outer cover 21b. The first outer cover 21b is mounted on the first side plate 21a. The first outer cover 21b covers the first side plate 21a. A mechanism receiving space S is formed between the first side plate 21a and the first outer cover 21b.
[0025] The second reel body 22 has a second side plate 22a, a second outer cover 22b, and a first retaining portion 22c. The second side plate 22a is arranged spaced apart from the first side plate 21a along the first axis. The second side plate 22a is connected to the first side plate 21a via a connecting portion 23. The first side plate 21a, the second side plate 22a, and the connecting portion 23 are integrally formed to constitute the frame of the reel body 2.
[0026] The second outer cover 22b is mounted on the second side plate 22a. The second outer cover 22b covers the second side plate 22a. The first retaining part 22c is disposed axially between the spool 4 and the second outer cover 22b. The first retaining part 22c is mounted on the second side plate 22a. The first retaining part 22c supports the spool shaft 5 via the bearing 50a.
[0027] As shown in Figures 1, 2, and 3, the handle 3 is rotatably mounted on the cable reel body 2. For example, the handle 3 is rotatably mounted on the first cable reel body 21. By rotating the handle 3, the cable reel 4 is rotated.
[0028] As shown in Figure 3, the cable reel 4 is rotatably disposed between the first cable reel body 21 and the second cable reel body 22, oriented upwards along the first axis. For example, the cable reel 4 is rotatably disposed between the first side plate 21a and the second side plate 22a, oriented upwards along the first axis. The cable reel 4 is mounted on the cable reel shaft 5. The cable reel 4 and the cable reel shaft 5 rotate integrally.
[0029] As shown in Figure 3, the cable reel 5 has a central axis X1. The cable reel 5 is rotatably supported on the first winding head 21 and the second winding head 22 via bearings 50a and 50b. For example, one end of the cable reel 5 is supported on the first outer cover 21b via bearing 50b. The other end of the cable reel 5 is supported on the first retaining portion 22c via bearing 50a. A locking pin 81 is mounted on the cable reel 5. Both ends of the locking pin 81 protrude radially from the outer circumferential surface of the cable reel 5.
[0030] As shown in Figure 3, the motor 6 is configured to drive the spool 4 to rotate. The motor 6 is positioned in front of the spool 4. The motor 6 has a motor body 61 and a rotating shaft 62. The motor body 61 is positioned between the first winding head body portion 21 and the second winding head body portion 22. For example, the motor body 61 is positioned between the first side plate 21a and the second side plate 22a.
[0031] The rotating shaft 62 has a central axis X2. The rotating shaft 62 extends along a second axis. A first end 62a of the rotating shaft 62 protrudes from the motor body 61 toward the first outer cover 21b and is disposed within the mechanism receiving space S. The first end 62a of the rotating shaft 62 is connected to the rotation transmission mechanism 7. A second end 62b of the rotating shaft 62 protrudes from the motor body 61 toward the second outer cover 22b. The second end 62b of the rotating shaft 62 is rotatably supported on the cover 31 via an anti-reverse portion 51a. The anti-reverse portion 51a restricts rotation of the rotating shaft 62 in the winding direction.
[0032] As shown in Figure 3, the rotary transmission mechanism 7 is housed within the mechanism housing space S. The rotary transmission mechanism 7 transmits the rotation of the handle 3 and the rotation of the motor 6 to the cable reel 4. For example, the rotary transmission mechanism 7 includes: a drive shaft that rotates integrally with the handle 3, and a drive gear 7a that rotates in conjunction with the rotation of the drive shaft. The rotary transmission mechanism 7 also includes: a planetary gear mechanism 7b, multiple intermediate gears 7c, 7d, 7e, and a pinion 7f.
[0033] The drive gear 7a meshes with the intermediate gear 7e. The rotation of the drive gear 7a is transmitted to the pinion 7f via the intermediate gear 7e, planetary gear mechanism 7b, intermediate gear 7c, and intermediate gear 7d. The rotating shaft 62 of the motor 6 is connected to the planetary gear mechanism 7b. The rotation of the motor 6 is reduced by the planetary gear mechanism 7b. The rotation of the motor 6 is transmitted to the pinion 7f via the planetary gear mechanism 7b, intermediate gear 7c, and intermediate gear 7d.
[0034] A pinion 7f is positioned axially in the first direction between the spool 4 and the first outer cover 21b. The pinion 7f is supported on the first side plate 21a via a bearing 50c. A spool shaft 5 is inserted into the inner circumference of the pinion 7f. The pinion 7f is movable axially along the outer circumference of the spool shaft 5. The pinion 7f has an engaging recess 82. The engaging recess 82 is formed at the end of the pinion 7f on the spool 4 side.
[0035] As shown in Figure 3, the clutch mechanism 8 includes an engaging pin 81 and an engaging recess 82. When the pinion 7f moves along a first axial direction away from the spool 4, the engagement of the engaging pin 81 and the engaging recess 82 is released. This allows the pinion 7f to rotate relative to the spool shaft 5, preventing the rotation of the handle 3 or the motor 6 from being transmitted to the spool 4. This state is the clutch off state.
[0036] When the pinion 7f moves axially toward the first axis of the winding drum 4, the engaging pin 81 engages with the engaging recess 82. This causes the pinion 7f to rotate integrally with the winding drum shaft 5, transmitting the rotation of the handle 3 or the motor 6 to the winding drum 4. This state is the clutch-on state.
[0037] Regarding the clutch mechanism 8, by operating the clutch operating member 18 shown in Figure 2, the state of the clutch mechanism 8 can be switched between the clutch engaged state and the clutch disengaged state. The clutch operating member 18 can swing about the axis X1 of the winding drum 4.
[0038] As shown in Figure 4, the electric reel 1 having the above-described configuration further includes a motor housing 30, a cover 31, and an O-ring 32 (an example of an elastic ring). For example, the reel body 2 further includes a motor housing 30, a cover 31, and an O-ring 32.
[0039] As shown in Figure 4, the motor housing 30 houses the motor 6. The motor housing 30 is cylindrical. For example, the motor housing 30 is a cylindrical member made of metal. More specifically, the motor housing 30 is a bottomed cylindrical member made of metal. As shown in Figure 3, the motor housing 30 is installed between the first cable reel body 21 and the second cable reel body 22. For example, the motor housing 30 is installed on the first side plate 21a and the second side plate 22a. The motor housing 30 can be integrally formed with the first side plate 21a.
[0040] As shown in Figure 4, the motor housing 30 has a body portion 35 and an opening portion 36. As shown in Figure 5, the motor housing 30 further has a first inner peripheral surface 37, a first wall portion 38, a second inner peripheral surface 39, and a second wall portion 40.
[0041] As shown in Figure 4, the main body 35 is formed into a bottomed cylindrical shape. The motor body 61 is housed inside the main body 35. A hole 41 is provided at the bottom 35a of the main body 35. The rotating shaft 62 of the motor 6 is inserted through the hole 41.
[0042] As shown in Figure 5, the opening 36 forms the opening side end of the body portion 35. The motor 6 is inserted into the interior of the body portion 35 through the opening 36. The opening 36 is formed in annular shape. The opening 36 has an end face 42. A first inner circumferential surface 37 forms the inner surface of the opening 36. For example, the first inner circumferential surface 37 extends from the end face 42 along a second axial direction.
[0043] The first wall portion 38 extends from the first inner peripheral surface 37 along a second radial direction. For example, the first wall portion 38 extends from the first inner peripheral surface 37 toward the second radial inward side. The first wall portion 38 is formed in an annular shape. The second inner peripheral surface 39 forms the inner surface of the opening 36. For example, the second inner peripheral surface 39 extends from the first wall portion 38 along a second axial direction. The inner diameter of the second inner peripheral surface 39 is smaller than the inner diameter of the first inner peripheral surface 37. The second wall portion 40 extends from the second inner peripheral surface 39 along a second radial direction. For example, the second wall portion 40 extends from the second inner peripheral surface 39 toward the second radial inward side. The second wall portion 40 is formed in an annular shape.
[0044] An annular stepped portion is formed by the first inner peripheral surface 37 and the first wall portion 38. An annular stepped portion is formed by the second inner peripheral surface 39 and the second wall portion 40. The inner surface 43 of the opening portion 36 is formed by the first inner peripheral surface 37, the first wall portion 38, the second inner peripheral surface 39, and the second wall portion 40.
[0045] As shown in Figures 4 and 5, the cover 31 covers the opening 36 of the motor housing 30. The cover 31 is included in the second reel body 22. For example, the cover 31 is made of resin. As shown in Figure 5, the cover 31 has a second retaining portion 45 (an example of a retaining portion), a first protrusion 46, a third wall portion 47 (an example of a second wall portion), a second protrusion 48, and an abutment portion 49.
[0046] As shown in Figure 5, the second retaining part 45 holds the rotating shaft 62 of the motor 6. The second retaining part 45 is mounted on the second side plate 22a. The second retaining part 45 is arranged in the second axial direction outside the motor housing 30. Specifically, the second retaining part 45 has a recess 45a. The recess 45a is arranged in the second axial direction outside the motor housing 30. An anti-reverse part 51a is disposed in the recess 45a. The second end 62b of the rotating shaft 62 of the motor 6 is rotatably held in the second retaining part 45 via the anti-reverse part 51a.
[0047] The first protrusion 46 engages with the opening 36 of the motor receiving portion 30. For example, the first protrusion 46 protrudes from the second retaining portion 45. The first protrusion 46 engages with the first inner peripheral surface 37. More specifically, the first protrusion 46 protrudes from the second retaining portion 45 toward the second axial direction. The first protrusion 46 is formed in a cylindrical shape. The first protrusion 46 and the second retaining portion 45 are integrally formed. The outer peripheral surface 46a of the first protrusion 46 engages with the first inner peripheral surface 37. Thereby, the first protrusion 46 is fitted into the first inner peripheral surface 37.
[0048] The third wall portion 47 extends from the first protrusion 46 in a second radial direction. For example, the third wall portion 47 forms the end face of the first protrusion 46. The third wall portion 47 is formed in an annular shape. The third wall portion 47 is arranged opposite to the first wall portion 38 in a second axial direction.
[0049] The second protrusion 48 engages with the opening 36 of the motor receiving portion 30. For example, the second protrusion 48 protrudes from the first protrusion 46. The second protrusion 48 engages with the second inner peripheral surface 39. More specifically, the second protrusion 48 protrudes from the first protrusion 46 toward the second axial direction. The second protrusion 48 is formed in a cylindrical shape. The second protrusion 48 is integrally formed with the first protrusion 46. The outer peripheral surface 48a of the second protrusion 48 engages with the second inner peripheral surface 39. Thereby, the second protrusion 48 is fitted into the second inner peripheral surface 39.
[0050] As shown in Figure 5, the O-ring 32 is disposed between the first wall portion 38 and the third wall portion 47 in the second axial direction. In this state, the O-ring 32 is held between the first wall portion 38 and the third wall portion 47. Furthermore, the O-ring 32 is disposed between the first inner circumferential surface 37 and the outer circumferential surface 48a of the second protrusion 48 in the second radial direction. In this state, the O-ring 32 is held between the first inner circumferential surface 37 and the outer circumferential surface 48a of the second protrusion 48.
[0051] The abutting portion 49 abuts against the outer periphery of the opening portion 36. For example, the abutting portion 49 protrudes radially from the second retaining portion 45. The abutting portion 49 abuts against the end face 42 of the opening portion 36. In this state, the front end 48b of the second protrusion 48 is spaced apart from the second wall portion 40.
[0052] In the electric reel 1 of this embodiment, the O-ring 32 is held axially by the first wall portion 38 of the motor housing portion 30 and the third wall portion 47 of the cover portion 31, thus the O-ring 32 can effectively prevent water from passing between the cover portion 31 and the motor housing portion 30.
[0053] Furthermore, the electric cable reel 1 has a configuration in which the O-ring 32 is clamped by the first wall portion 38 of the motor housing portion 30 and the third wall portion 47 of the cover portion 31, thereby shortening the axial length of the first protrusion 46. In this way, the electric cable reel 1 can reduce the manufacturing steps of the cover portion 31 and can make the motor housing portion 30 smaller in the axial direction.
[0054] (Other implementation methods) (A) In the above embodiment, an example is shown where the first protrusion 46 is fitted into the first inner peripheral surface 37 and the second protrusion 48 is fitted into the second inner peripheral surface 39. Alternatively, the second protrusion 48 may not be fitted into the second inner peripheral surface 39, and only the first protrusion 46 may be fitted into the first inner peripheral surface 37. Furthermore, the first protrusion 46 may not be fitted into the first inner peripheral surface 37, and only the second protrusion 48 may be fitted into the second inner peripheral surface 39.
[0055] (B) In the above embodiment, an example is shown where the O-ring 32 is clamped in both the axial and radial directions. Alternatively, the O-ring 32 can be clamped in either the axial or radial direction. In this case, for example, the O-ring 32 is clamped by the first wall portion 38 and the third wall portion 47, rather than by the outer peripheral surface 48a of the first inner peripheral surface 37 and the second protrusion 48. The O-ring 32 is clamped by the outer peripheral surface 48a of the first inner peripheral surface 37 and the second protrusion 48, rather than by the first wall portion 38 and the third wall portion 47.
