[0001] This invention relates to an intelligent irrigation system and method capable of autonomously targeting plants, and in particular to an adaptive environmental sensing irrigation system and method capable of dynamically adjusting irrigation strategies and providing early warning services based on the plant's current needs and environmental conditions. Prior Technology

[0002] Due to climate change caused by global warming in recent years, extreme weather events such as droughts and heavy rainfall are becoming increasingly frequent, accelerating soil acidification, which is detrimental to the ecological environment of plants and industrial development. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop intelligent automated irrigation methods based on real-time growth and meteorological monitoring data. This method would proactively provide timely and precise dynamic adjustments to irrigation strategies and early warning services by collecting real-time environmental data such as temperature, humidity, and rainfall. Compared to traditional methods, this approach can not only identify potential risks in advance but also provide personalized irrigation strategies for different situations, thereby optimizing plant management decisions and improving plant yield and quality. Summary of the Invention

[0003] To address the aforementioned problems, the present invention provides an adaptive environmental sensing irrigation system and method that can dynamically adjust irrigation strategies and provide early warning services based on the current needs of plants and environmental conditions.

[0004] The adaptive environmental sensing irrigation system disclosed in the first embodiment of the present invention is electrically connected to a solar power generation device. The adaptive environmental sensing irrigation system includes at least: a first thermometer for detecting the current ambient temperature and converting the detected ambient temperature into an ambient temperature signal and transmitting it; a solar radiation meter for detecting the current solar light intensity and converting the detected solar light intensity into a solar light intensity signal and transmitting it; a soil moisture sensor for detecting the soil moisture of the plants on the plant cultivation platform and converting the detected soil moisture into a soil moisture signal and transmitting it; a pH sensor for detecting the soil pH of the plants on the plant cultivation platform and converting the detected soil pH into a soil pH signal and transmitting it; and a rainfall sensor for detecting the current rainfall amount and converting the detected rainfall amount into a rainfall signal and transmitting it. A second thermometer is used to detect the current indoor temperature within the plant cultivation platform and convert the detected indoor temperature into an indoor temperature signal for transmission. A microprocessor is used to receive the ambient temperature signal, the solar light intensity signal, the soil pH signal, the soil moisture signal, the rainfall signal, and the indoor temperature signal, and output multiple analytical signals based on individual judgments of these signals. A programmable logic controller is used to receive the multiple analytical signals and, based on these signals, individually or simultaneously control a curtain lifting device, a plant growth light, a nutrient solution spraying device, and a watering device within the plant cultivation platform. The microprocessor transmits the ambient temperature signal, the solar light intensity signal, the soil pH value signal, the soil moisture signal, the rainfall signal, and the indoor temperature signal to a monitoring platform, allowing the monitoring platform to display the relevant information immediately.

[0005] The adaptive environmental sensing irrigation method disclosed in the first embodiment of this invention comprises the following steps: First step: Using a first thermometer to detect the current ambient temperature, and converting the detected ambient temperature into an ambient temperature signal and transmitting it. Second step: Using a sonar meter to detect the current solar light intensity, and converting the detected solar light intensity into a solar light intensity signal and transmitting it. Third step: Using a soil moisture sensor to detect the soil moisture of the plants on the plant cultivation platform, and converting the detected soil moisture into a soil moisture signal and transmitting it. Fourth step: Using a pH sensor to detect the soil pH of the plants on the plant cultivation platform, and converting the detected soil pH into a soil pH signal and transmitting it. Fifth step: Using a rainfall sensor to detect the current rainfall amount, and converting the detected rainfall amount into a rainfall signal and transmitting it. Step 6: Use a second thermometer to detect the current indoor temperature within the plant cultivation platform and convert the detected indoor temperature into an indoor temperature signal, which is then transmitted. Step 7: Use a microprocessor to receive the ambient temperature signal, the solar light intensity signal, the soil pH signal, the soil moisture signal, the rainfall signal, and the indoor temperature signal. Determine whether each of these signals exceeds a corresponding threshold value, and output a first judgment signal. Also determine whether the solar light intensity signal is below a solar light intensity threshold value, and output a second judgment signal. Similarly, determine whether the soil moisture signal is below a soil moisture threshold value, and output a third judgment signal. Finally, determine whether the soil pH signal exceeds a soil pH range, and output a fourth judgment signal. Step 8: A programmable logic controller (PLC) is used to receive the first judgment signal, the second judgment signal, the third judgment signal, and the fourth judgment signal. Based on the first judgment signal, a first control signal is output to control one or more curtain lifting devices installed around the plant growth platform; based on the second judgment signal, a second control signal is output to control all light sources of one or more plant growth lights installed inside the plant growth platform; based on the third judgment signal, a third control signal is output to control a sprinkler device installed inside the plant growth platform; and based on the fourth judgment signal, a fourth control signal is output to control a nutrient solution spraying device installed inside the plant growth platform.

[0006] The adaptive environmental sensing irrigation system disclosed in the second embodiment of the present invention is electrically connected to a solar power generation device. The adaptive environmental sensing irrigation system includes at least: a first thermometer for detecting the current ambient temperature and converting the detected ambient temperature into an ambient temperature signal for transmission; a solar radiation meter for detecting the current solar light intensity and converting the detected solar light intensity into a solar light intensity signal for transmission; a soil moisture sensor for detecting the soil moisture of one or more plants on a plant cultivation platform and converting the detected soil moisture into a soil moisture signal for transmission; a pH sensor for detecting the soil pH of the one or more plants on the plant cultivation platform and converting the detected soil pH into a soil pH signal for transmission; and a rainfall sensor for detecting the current rainfall amount and converting the detected rainfall amount into a rainfall signal for transmission. A second thermometer is used to detect the current indoor temperature within the plant cultivation platform and convert the detected indoor temperature into an indoor temperature signal, which is then transmitted. A programmable logic controller (PLC) receives the ambient temperature signal, the solar light intensity signal, the soil moisture signal, and the indoor temperature signal. Based on individual judgments of these signals, it outputs multiple control signals to individually or simultaneously control the operation of a curtain lifting device, a plant growth light, and a sprinkler system. A microprocessor receives the soil pH signal and the rainfall signal. Based on individual judgments of these signals, it outputs multiple analysis signals to the PLC. The PLC then outputs multiple control signals based on these analysis signals to individually or simultaneously control the curtain lifting device and the nutrient solution spraying device.

[0007] The adaptive environmental sensing irrigation method disclosed in the second embodiment of the present invention comprises the following steps: First step: using a first thermometer to detect the current ambient temperature and converting the detected ambient temperature into an ambient temperature signal for transmission; Second step: using a sonar meter to detect the current intensity of a solar light source and converting the detected solar light source intensity into a solar light source intensity signal for transmission; Third step: using a soil moisture sensor to detect the soil moisture of one or more plants on a plant cultivation platform and converting the detected soil moisture into a soil moisture signal for transmission. Step 4: Use a pH sensor to detect the soil pH of one or more plants on the plant cultivation platform, and convert the detected soil pH into a soil pH signal and transmit it. Step 5: Use a rainfall sensor to detect the current rainfall amount, and convert the detected rainfall amount into a rainfall signal and transmit it. Step 6: Use a second thermometer to detect the current indoor temperature inside the plant cultivation platform, and convert the detected indoor temperature into an indoor temperature signal and transmit it. Step 7: Use a programmable logic controller (PLC) to receive the loop. The system receives ambient temperature signals, solar light intensity signals, soil moisture signals, and indoor temperature signals. It then determines whether the ambient temperature signal and the indoor temperature signal exceed a corresponding ambient temperature threshold value and an indoor temperature threshold value, respectively, and outputs a first control signal to individually or simultaneously control a curtain lifting device. It also determines whether the solar light intensity signal is less than a solar light intensity threshold value, and outputs a second control signal to control all light sources of a plant growth lamp. Finally, it determines whether the soil moisture signal is less than a soil moisture threshold value, and outputs a third control signal to control a sprinkler system. (Eighth step) A microprocessor receives the soil pH signal and the rainfall signal, determines whether the soil pH signal exceeds a certain range, and outputs a first judgment signal to the programmable logic controller (PLC). The PLC then outputs a fourth control signal based on the first judgment signal to control a nutrient solution spraying device. Simultaneously, it determines whether the rainfall signal exceeds a rainfall threshold and outputs a second judgment signal to the PLC. The PLC then outputs the first control signal based on the second judgment signal to control the curtain lifting device.

The plant growth platform 18 is electrically connected, wired connected, or wirelessly connected to the programmable logic controller 17.

[0014] In the first embodiment of the present invention, the plant growth platform 18 includes at least a curtain lifting device 181, a plant growth light 182, a watering device 183, a nutrient solution spraying device 184, and a second thermometer 185. The curtain lifting device 181 is disposed on all four sides of the plant growth platform 18. However, the curtain lifting device 181 can also be disposed on any one side, any two sides, or any three sides of the plant growth platform 18, depending on actual needs.

[0017] The adaptive environmental sensing irrigation system 1 in the first embodiment of the present invention is implemented as follows: A first thermometer 11 detects the current ambient temperature and converts the detected ambient temperature into an ambient temperature signal Sat, which is then transmitted to the microprocessor 16. A sunmeter 12 detects the current solar light intensity and converts the detected solar light intensity into a solar light intensity signal Ssi, which is then transmitted to the microprocessor 16. A soil moisture sensor 14 detects the soil moisture of the plants on the plant growth platform 17 and converts the detected soil moisture into a soil moisture signal Ssm, which is then transmitted to the microprocessor 16. A pH sensor 13 detects the soil pH of the plants on the plant growth platform 17 and converts the detected soil pH into a soil pH signal SpH, which is then transmitted to the microprocessor 16. The rainfall sensor 15 is used to detect the current rainfall amount and converts it into a rainfall signal Spr, which is then transmitted to the microprocessor 16. The second thermometer 175 is used to detect the current indoor temperature within the plant cultivation platform 17 and converts it into an indoor temperature signal Sit, which is also transmitted to the microprocessor 16. The microprocessor 16 then outputs multiple analytical signals based on individual determinations of the ambient temperature signal Sat, the solar light intensity signal Ssi, the soil moisture signal Ssm, the soil pH signal SpH, the rainfall signal Spr, and the indoor temperature signal Sit. Finally, the programmable logic controller 17 receives the multiple analysis signals and outputs multiple control signals based on these signals to individually or simultaneously control the operation of the curtain lifting device 181, the plant growth light 182, the sprinkler device 183, and the nutrient solution spraying device 184. Simultaneously, the microprocessor 16 transmits the detected ambient temperature signal Sat, solar light intensity signal Ssi, soil moisture signal Ssm, soil pH signal SpH, rainfall signal Spr, and indoor temperature signal Sit to the monitoring platform 19, allowing the monitoring platform 19 to display the relevant information immediately.

[0018] The aforementioned microprocessor 16 makes individual judgments regarding the ambient temperature signal Sat as follows: when the microprocessor 16 receives the ambient temperature signal Sat from the first thermometer 11, it determines whether the ambient temperature signal Sat is greater than an ambient temperature threshold value. If the ambient temperature signal Sat is less than the ambient temperature threshold value, it continues to detect; conversely, if the ambient temperature signal Sat is greater than the ambient temperature threshold value, the microprocessor outputs a first judgment signal Sj1. Then, the programmable logic controller 17 outputs a first control signal S1 based on the first judgment signal Sj1 to activate the curtain lifting device 171 in the plant cultivation platform 17, lowering a curtain in the curtain lifting device 171 to provide shade.

[0019] The aforementioned microprocessor 16 makes individual judgments regarding the solar light intensity signal Ssi as follows: when the microprocessor 16 receives the solar light intensity signal Ssi from the solar meter 12, it determines whether the solar light intensity signal Ssi is less than a solar light intensity threshold value. If the solar light intensity signal Ssi is greater than the solar light intensity threshold value, it continues to detect; conversely, if the solar light intensity signal Ssi is less than the solar light intensity threshold value, the microprocessor 16 outputs a second judgment signal Sj2, and then the programmable logic controller 17 outputs a second control signal S2 based on the second judgment signal Sj2 to turn on all the light sources of the plant growth lights 182 in the plant growth platform 18.

[0020] The aforementioned microprocessor 16 makes individual judgments regarding the soil moisture signal Ssm as follows: when the microprocessor 16 receives the soil moisture signal Ssm from the soil moisture sensor 13, it determines whether the soil moisture signal Ssm is less than a soil moisture threshold value. If the soil moisture signal Ssm is greater than the soil moisture threshold value, it continues to detect; conversely, if the soil moisture signal Ssm is less than the soil moisture threshold value, the microprocessor 16 outputs a third judgment signal Sj3. Then, the programmable logic controller 17 outputs a third control signal S3 based on the third judgment signal Sj3 to activate the watering device 183 in the plant growth platform 18, spraying the soil of the plant on the plant growth platform 18 to adjust the soil moisture.

[0021] The aforementioned microprocessor 16 makes individual judgments on the soil pH signal SpH as follows: when the microprocessor 16 receives the soil pH signal SpH from the pH sensor 14, it determines whether the soil pH signal SpH exceeds a certain soil pH range. If the soil pH signal SpH does not exceed the soil pH range, it continues to detect. Conversely, if the soil pH signal SpH exceeds the soil pH range, the microprocessor 16 outputs a fourth judgment signal Sj4. Then, the programmable logic controller 17 outputs a fourth control signal S4 based on the fourth judgment signal Sj4 to activate the nutrient solution spraying device 184 in the plant growth platform 18, spraying the soil of the plants on the plant growth platform 18 to adjust the soil pH.

[0022] The aforementioned microprocessor 16 makes individual judgments regarding the rainfall signal Spr as follows: when the microprocessor 16 receives the rainfall signal Spr from the rain sensor 15, it determines whether the rainfall signal Spr is greater than a rainfall threshold value. If the rainfall signal Spr is less than the rainfall threshold value, it continues to detect; conversely, if the rainfall signal Spr is greater than the rainfall threshold value, the microprocessor 16 outputs a first judgment signal Sj1. Then, the programmable logic controller 17 outputs a first control signal S1 based on the first judgment signal Sj1 to activate the curtain lifting device 181 in the plant growth platform 18, lowering a curtain in the curtain lifting device 181 to provide rain protection.

[0023] The aforementioned microprocessor 16 makes individual judgments on the indoor temperature signal Sit as follows: when the microprocessor 16 receives an indoor temperature signal Sit from the second thermometer 185, it determines whether the indoor temperature signal Sit is greater than an indoor temperature threshold value. If the indoor temperature signal Sit is less than the indoor temperature threshold value, it continues to detect; conversely, if the indoor temperature signal Sit is greater than the indoor temperature threshold value, the microprocessor 16 outputs a first judgment signal Sj1. Then, the programmable logic controller 16 outputs a first control signal S1 based on the first judgment signal Sj1 to activate the curtain lifting device 181 in the plant growth platform 18, and lowers a curtain in the curtain lifting device 181 to provide shade.

[0028] Please refer to Figure 3, which is a schematic diagram of the architecture of the adaptive environment sensing irrigation system 1 according to the second embodiment of the present invention.

[0029] The adaptive environmental sensing irrigation system 1 disclosed in the second embodiment of the present invention is electrically connected to a solar power generation device 2, which generates electricity independently. The adaptive environmental sensing irrigation system 1 includes at least: a first thermometer 11, a solar meter 12, a soil moisture sensor 13, a pH sensor 14, a rainfall sensor 15, a microprocessor 16, a programmable logic controller 17, a plant growth platform 18, and a monitoring platform 19. The first thermometer 11, the solar meter 12, the soil moisture sensor 13, and the monitoring platform 19 are electrically connected to the programmable logic controller 17 via a wired or wireless network connection. The pH sensor 14, the rainfall sensor 15, and the monitoring platform 19 are electrically connected to the microprocessor 16 via a wired or wireless network connection.

[0030] The difference between the second embodiment and the first embodiment of the present invention is that the microprocessor 16 is electrically connected to some sensing elements (e.g., electrically connected to the pH sensor 14 and the rainfall sensor 15), while the programmable logic controller 17 is electrically connected to some sensing elements (e.g., the first thermometer 11, the sunshine meter 12, and the soil moisture sensor 13). Therefore, the individual judgments of the pH sensor 14 and the rainfall sensor 15 are analyzed and judged by the microprocessor 16, while the individual judgments of the first thermometer 11, the sunshine meter 12, and the soil moisture sensor 13 are analyzed and judged by the programmable logic controller 17. By using a multi-tasking approach, multiple analysis results can be obtained quickly and accurately.

[0031] In the second embodiment of the present invention, the plant growth platform 18 includes at least a curtain lifting device 181, a plant growth light 182, a watering device 183, a nutrient solution spraying device 184, and a second thermometer 185. The curtain lifting device 181 is disposed on all four sides of the plant growth platform 18. However, the curtain lifting device 181 can also be disposed on any one side, any two sides, or any three sides of the plant growth platform 18, depending on actual needs.

[0032] In the second embodiment of the present invention, the curtain lifting device 181, the plant growth light 182, the watering device 183, the nutrient solution spraying device 184, and the second thermometer 185 are all electrically connected, wired connected, or wirelessly connected to the programmable logic controller 17.

[0034] The adaptive environmental sensing irrigation system 1 in the second embodiment of the present invention is implemented as follows: A first thermometer 11 detects the current ambient temperature and converts the detected ambient temperature into an ambient temperature signal Sat, which is then transmitted to the programmable logic controller 17. A solar radiation meter 12 detects the current solar light intensity and converts the detected solar light intensity into a solar light intensity signal Ssi, which is then transmitted to the programmable logic controller 17. A soil moisture sensor 14 detects the soil moisture of the plants on the plant growth platform 17 and converts the detected soil moisture into a soil moisture signal Ssm, which is then transmitted to the programmable logic controller 17. A pH sensor 13 detects the soil pH of the plants on the plant growth platform 17 and converts the detected soil pH into a soil pH signal SpH, which is then transmitted to the microprocessor 16. The rain sensor 15 is used to detect the current rainfall amount and converts the detected rainfall amount into a rainfall signal Spr, which is then transmitted to the microprocessor 16. The second thermometer 175 is used to detect the current indoor temperature inside the plant growth platform 17 and converts the detected indoor temperature into an indoor temperature signal Sit, which is then transmitted to the programmable logic controller 17. Subsequently, the programmable logic controller 17 outputs multiple control signals based on individual judgments of the ambient temperature signal Sat, the solar light intensity signal Ssi, the soil moisture signal Ssm, and the indoor temperature signal Sit, in order to individually or simultaneously control the activation of the curtain lifting device 181, the plant growth light 182, and the sprinkler device 183. Simultaneously, the microprocessor 16 outputs multiple analysis signals based on individual judgments of the soil pH signal (SpH) and the rainfall signal (Spr), and transmits these multiple analysis signals to the programmable logic controller (PLC) 17. The PLC 17 then outputs multiple control signals based on these analysis signals to individually or simultaneously control the opening of the curtain lifting device 181 and the nutrient solution spraying device 184. Simultaneously, the microprocessor 16 and the PLC 17 transmit individually detected ambient temperature signal (Sat), solar light intensity signal (Ssi), soil moisture signal (Ssm), soil pH signal (SpH), rainfall signal (Spr), and indoor temperature signal (Sit) to the monitoring platform 19, allowing the monitoring platform 19 to display the relevant information immediately.

[0035] The aforementioned programmable logic controller 17 makes individual judgments regarding the ambient temperature signal Sat as follows: when the programmable logic controller 17 receives the ambient temperature signal Sat from the first thermometer 11, it determines whether the ambient temperature signal Sat is greater than an ambient temperature threshold value. If the ambient temperature signal Sat is less than the ambient temperature threshold value, it continues to detect; conversely, if the ambient temperature signal Sat is greater than the ambient temperature threshold value, the programmable logic controller 17 outputs a first control signal S1 to activate the curtain lifting device 171 in the plant cultivation platform 17, and lowers one of the curtains in the curtain lifting device 171 to provide shade.

If the solar light intensity signal Ssi is greater than the solar light intensity threshold value, it continues to detect; conversely, if the solar light intensity signal Ssi is less than the solar light intensity threshold value, the programmable logic controller 17 outputs a second control signal S2 to turn on all the light sources of the plant growth lights 182 in the plant growth platform 18.

[0037] The aforementioned programmable logic controller 17 makes individual judgments regarding the soil moisture signal Ssm as follows: when the programmable logic controller 17 receives the soil moisture signal Ssm from the soil moisture sensor 13, it determines whether the soil moisture signal Ssm is less than a soil moisture threshold value. If the soil moisture signal Ssm is greater than the soil moisture threshold value, it continues to detect; conversely, if the soil moisture signal Ssm is less than the soil moisture threshold value, the programmable logic controller 17 outputs a third control signal S3 to activate the sprinkler device 183 in the plant growth platform 18, spraying the soil of the plant on the plant growth platform 18 to adjust the soil moisture.

[0038] The aforementioned programmable logic controller 17 makes individual judgments on the indoor temperature signal Sit as follows: when the programmable logic controller 17 receives an indoor temperature signal Sit from the second thermometer 185, it determines whether the indoor temperature signal Sit is greater than an indoor temperature threshold value. If the indoor temperature signal Sit is less than the indoor temperature threshold value, it continues to detect; conversely, if the indoor temperature signal Sit is greater than the indoor temperature threshold value, the programmable logic controller 17 outputs the first control signal S1 to activate the curtain lifting device 181 in the plant growth platform 18, and lowers one of the curtains in the curtain lifting device 181 to provide shade.

[0039] The aforementioned microprocessor 16 makes individual judgments on the soil pH signal SpH as follows: when the microprocessor 16 receives the soil pH signal SpH from the pH sensor 14, it determines whether the soil pH signal SpH exceeds a certain soil pH range. If the soil pH signal SpH does not exceed the soil pH range, it continues to detect. Finally, it determines whether the soil moisture signal is less than a soil moisture threshold value, and then outputs a third control signal to control a sprinkler system. Step 8 S800: A microprocessor receives the soil pH signal and the rainfall signal, determines whether the soil pH signal exceeds a certain soil pH range, and outputs a first judgment signal to the programmable logic controller (PLC). The PLC then outputs a fourth control signal based on the first judgment signal to control a nutrient solution spraying device. Simultaneously, it determines whether the rainfall signal is greater than a rainfall threshold value and outputs a second judgment signal to the PLC. The PLC then outputs the first control signal based on the second judgment signal to control the curtain lifting device.

[0043] The adaptive environmental sensing irrigation method disclosed in the second embodiment of the present invention further includes: simultaneously transmitting the soil pH value signal and rainfall signal detected by the microprocessor, as well as the ambient temperature signal, solar light intensity signal, soil moisture signal and indoor temperature signal detected by the programmable logic controller, to a monitoring platform, so that the monitoring platform can present the relevant information in the first instance.
