Abstract

An electronic device and a method for calibrating its touchpad. The touchpad is disposed within the electronic device. The touchpad calibration method includes the following steps: Notifying a pressing position for a stylus to press; analyzing the force applied by the stylus; analyzing the panel sensing force of the touchpad; determining whether the difference between the stylus applied force and the panel sensing force falls within a predetermined range; if the difference between the stylus applied force and the panel sensing force does not fall within the predetermined range, then calibrating a weighted calculation procedure for the touchpad's panel sensing force based on the stylus applied force.
