Description

[Technical Field]

[0001] This invention relates to a straddle-type vehicle. [Previous Technology]

[0002] Previously, a straddle-type vehicle equipped with an adsorption canister for storing evaporated fuel from a fuel tank was known (see Patent Document 1). In the straddle-type vehicle of Patent Document 1, a storage box is provided below the seat, and the adsorption canister is disposed below the storage box. [Prior Art Documents] [Patent Documents]

[0003] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent No. 5774129 [Summary of the Invention]

[0004] [Problem to be solved by the invention] When the adsorption can is placed below the storage box, it is necessary to ensure space below the storage box for placing the adsorption can, which may narrow the storage space of the storage box.

[0005] The objective of this invention is to provide a straddle-type vehicle capable of suppressing the narrowing of the storage space of a storage compartment located below the seat. [Technical Means for Solving the Problem]

[0006] One embodiment of the straddle-type vehicle of the present invention includes a body frame, leg guards, a seat, a storage compartment, foot pedals, a tilting section, a fuel tank, and a suction canister. The body frame includes a head tube. The leg guards are disposed behind the head tube. The storage compartment is disposed below the seat. The foot pedals are disposed between the leg guards and the seat. The tilting section includes a footrest. The tilting section is disposed between the leg guards and the foot pedals and tilts forward and upward relative to the foot pedals. The fuel tank is disposed below the foot pedals. The suction canister is disposed below the tilting section and connected to the fuel tank.

[0007] In this type of straddle-type vehicle, the suction can is provided below the inclined section between the shin guards and the footrests. Therefore, compared with the case where the suction can is provided below the storage box, the storage space of the storage box located below the seat can be prevented from becoming narrower. Furthermore, the space below the inclined section including the footrest can be effectively utilized, and the rider can place his feet not only on the footrests but also on the footrest of the inclined section.

[0008] The vehicle frame may also include a subframe disposed below the inclined portion and supporting the footrest. The adsorption can also be fixed to the subframe. In this case, the footrest can be supported by the subframe, and the adsorption can be fixed to the subframe.

[0009] The adsorption tank can also be arranged at an angle along the footrest surface. In this case, the space below the inclined part can be utilized efficiently.

[0010] At least a portion of the adsorption tank may also be positioned above the foot pedal. In this case, water immersion in the adsorption tank can be prevented.

[0011] The straddle-type vehicle may further include: a fuel line located in front of the leg guards and connected to the fuel tank; and a charging tube connected to both the fuel line and the adsorption canister. A portion of the charging tube may also be located below the sloping section. In this case, the space below the sloping section can be effectively utilized as space for the charging tube.

[0012] The straddle-type vehicle may further include: an auxiliary storage tank disposed to the side of the head tube; and a fuel line connecting the auxiliary storage tank to the fuel tank. The adsorption canister may also overlap with the auxiliary storage tank when viewed from above the vehicle. In this case, the space below the auxiliary storage tank can be effectively utilized as space for arranging the adsorption canister. [Effects of the Invention]

[0013] According to the present invention, a straddle-type vehicle is provided that can suppress the narrowing of the storage space of the storage box disposed below the seat.
