Abstract

A method for processing non-integer gamma codes is executed by a control circuit for driving a display panel, the display panel comprising M×N pixels, where M and N are both positive integers greater than 1, the control circuit comprising a host computer and a driver chip, and the method being characterized in that: the host computer and the driver chip periodically perform a gamma conversion on each of n input grayscale data using n integer gamma values to generate n output grayscale data, where n is a positive integer greater than 1, and the driver chip drives the display panel according to the output grayscale data, wherein the average value of the n integer gamma values is an integer value with decimals.
