Abstract

A touchpad structure is disclosed for mounting on the body of a portable electronic device. The touchpad structure includes a touch module and a tension plate. The tension plate has a support portion, two fixing portions, and two tension portions. The touch module is mounted on the support portion, and the two tension portions are respectively connected to opposite sides of the support portion, with each tension portion connecting the support portion and the fixing portions. The fixing portions are fixed to the inner top surface of the body, allowing the touch module to be exposed from an opening in the body. The tension portions have a mesh microstructure, so that when the touch module is pressed, the touch module and the support portion displace relative to the fixing portions, and the mesh microstructure elastically deforms along the direction of pressure. When the pressure is released, the mesh microstructure returns to the support portion and the touch module.

Claims

1. A touchpad structure for mounting on the body of a portable electronic device, the touchpad structure comprising: Touch module; The device includes a tension plate with a support portion, two fixed portions, and two tension portions. The touch module is disposed on the support portion, and the two tension portions are respectively connected to opposite sides of the support portion. Each tension portion is connected between the support portion and the fixed portion. The fixed portion is fixed to the inner top surface of the device body so that the touch module is exposed from the opening of the device body. The tension portion has a mesh microstructure so that when the touch module is pressed, the touch module and the support portion are displaced relative to the fixed portion, and the mesh microstructure undergoes elastic deformation along the pressing direction. When the pressing is released, the mesh microstructure returns to the support portion and the touch module.

2. The touchpad structure as described in claim 1, wherein the tension plate is a carbon fiber plate.

3. The touchpad structure as described in claim 1, wherein the thickness of the tension plate is 0.8 mm.

4. The touchpad structure as claimed in claim 1, wherein the touch module has a rectangular outline and has two first long sides and two first short sides that are opposite to each other, the first long sides being perpendicular to the first short sides, the mesh microstructure having a rectangular cutout portion, and the cutout portion having a second long side and a second short side, the second long side being parallel to the first short side, and the second short side being parallel to the first long side.

5. The touchpad structure as claimed in claim 4, wherein the second long side is 18.5 mm and the second short side is 1.4 mm.

6. The touchpad structure as claimed in claim 4, wherein the cutouts are evenly distributed at equal intervals along the first axis, the second short side is parallel to the first axis, the second long side is parallel to the second axis, and the first axis is perpendicular to the second axis.

7. The touchpad structure as described in claim 6, wherein the pitch is 4 mm.

8. The touchpad structure as claimed in claim 4, wherein the mesh microstructure includes a plurality of straight strip structures equidistantly arranged along a first axis, each of the straight strip structures extending along a second axis, the first axis being perpendicular to the second axis, the first long side being parallel to the first axis, and the first short side being parallel to the second axis.

9. The touchpad structure as claimed in claim 8, wherein the mesh microstructure further includes a plurality of transverse connecting strips, each of the transverse connecting strips extending along the first axis to connect between two adjacent strip structures.

10. The touchpad structure as claimed in claim 9, wherein the transverse connecting strips have a variety of widths along the first axis and decrease from the junction of the mesh microstructure and the fixed portion and the junction of the mesh microstructure and the support portion toward the center of the mesh microstructure.
