Abstract

This invention discloses a method for manufacturing a soil-adhesive weed-suppressing mat, which includes the following steps: a pretreatment step, a sterilization step, a washing step, a pulping and fabrication step, and a post-treatment step. By using long-fiber plants as raw materials for processing and shaping, a weed-suppressing mat with the functions of inhibiting weed growth, maintaining soil moisture, and promoting water and air circulation can be produced. Furthermore, it can be completely decomposed by microorganisms in the soil after use without the need for recycling, and it is highly environmentally friendly. It not only solves the problem of excessive plant waste, but also replaces traditional plastic tarpaulins, avoiding excessive damage to the environment.

Claims

1. A method for producing a weed-suppressing mat with soil-adhesive capabilities, comprising the following steps: Pre-treatment step: After harvesting a long-fiber plant, the plant is cut into small pieces; Sterilization treatment step: The cut long-fiber plant is soaked in a reagent, which reacts with the plant through oxidation to reduce its decay rate; Washing step: After soaking the plant in the reagent for a certain period, a purified fiber is removed and washed to completely remove any remaining reagent from the fiber surface; Pulping and fabric formation step: The washed fiber is placed in a pulping machine to break it down into a pulp, which is then spread out and allowed to dry and solidify to form a weed-suppressing mat; Post-treatment step: The weed-suppressing mat is laid in farmland. Upon contact with water, the mat gradually softens, allowing it to adhere to the ground and fix the soil. The long-fiber plant may be any one of banana pseudostem fiber, corn leaf / bract fiber, rice straw fiber, sugarcane bagasse fiber, coconut shell / coconut fiber, pineapple leaf fiber, hemp fiber or bamboo fiber, or a mixture of any of the above.

2. The method for manufacturing a soil-adhesive weed-suppressing mat as described in claim 1, wherein, Between the sterilization step and the cleaning step, a softening step can be added: the purified fiber is removed from the reagent and the fiber is subjected to a steaming softening treatment.

3. The method for manufacturing a soil-adhesive weed-suppressing mat as described in claim 1, wherein, The reagent is percarbonate.

4. The method for manufacturing a soil-adhesive weed-suppressing mat as described in claim 1, wherein, In the pulping and fabric-making step, the pulp can be evenly poured into a container with a ventilation section to allow the bottom of the pulp to be ventilated and to dry and cure evenly and quickly.

5. A method for manufacturing a soil-adhesive weed-suppressing mat as described in claim 1, wherein, Between the pulping and fabric-making step and the post-processing step, a drilling step can be added: holes are drilled in the formed weed-suppressing mat to facilitate the planting of seedlings and covering with soil.

6. A method for manufacturing a soil-adhesive weed-suppressing mat as described in claim 1, wherein, Following this post-processing step, a liquid fertilizer spraying step can be added: a liquid fertilizer is sprayed onto the weed-suppressing mat.

7. A method for manufacturing a soil-adhesive weed-suppressing mat as described in claim 6, wherein, This liquid fertilizer can be an inorganic liquid nitrogen fertilizer or an organic bacterial fertilizer.

8. A method for manufacturing a soil-adhesive weed-suppressing mat as described in claim 1, wherein, In the pulping and fabric-making step, the pulp can be dried and solidified by natural air drying or mechanical drying.
