Forward-scanning optical probe apparatus

Abstract

A forward-scanning optical probe device includes a first tube, a second tube, and a third tube, and a single-mode optical fiber, a beam expander, a graded-index optical fiber, and a reflective element disposed within the third tube. The second tube is rotatably inserted into the first tube, with its axis parallel to the axis of the first tube. The third tube has an input end and an output end, and is disposed within the second tube, with an angle greater than 0 degrees and less than 90 degrees between its axis and the axis of the second tube. Light enters the single-mode optical fiber, beam expander, graded-index optical fiber, and reflective element through the input end and exits through the output end. When the second tube rotates, it can cause the third tube to rotate as well, forming a circular motion trajectory at the output end.
