Abstract

A dual-sensor fusion smart elastic band includes an elastic band body, a pair of handles, a tension sensing unit, an inertial sensing unit, a central processing unit, and a power source. The handles are fixed to both ends of the elastic band body, and one handle forms an accommodating space to house the tension sensing unit, the inertial sensing unit, the central processing unit, and the power source, all located at the end of the elastic band body. These spaces monitor the tension value and phase segmentation identification methods of the elastic band body during operation. The central processing unit calculates the tension value of the elastic band body during operation, as well as the centrifugal mass fraction and tension bearing time of the elastic band body, thereby reducing the error in tension estimation caused by material viscoelasticity and aging.
