Abstract
Description
Fan device with adjustable airflow direction Technical Field
[0001] This work relates to a cooling fan, specifically a fan device with adjustable airflow direction. Prior Technology
[0002] Existing cooling fans used inside computer mainframes or servers typically consist of an impeller mounted on a frame. This impeller utilizes a stator and rotor structure and rotates due to magnetic repulsion when energized, thereby driving airflow to create a directional flow and providing the necessary cooling.
[0003] However, existing impellers are all set in a fixed direction within the frame. Therefore, when the frame is fixed inside a computer host or server, the direction of airflow is also fixed. In actual use, multiple fans are often arranged, and the impellers of all fans can only blow air in the direction that the frame is fixed in, and cannot adjust or change the angle of airflow.
[0004] In view of this, the creator has devoted himself to research and application of theoretical principles in order to improve and solve the above-mentioned deficiencies, and finally proposed a design that is reasonable and effective in improving the above-mentioned deficiencies. Summary of the Invention
[0005] The main purpose of this invention is to provide a fan device with adjustable airflow direction, which allows for appropriate angle adjustment between the fan blades and the frame, thereby changing the airflow direction or increasing the range of airflow angle, thus improving the applicability of the cooling fan.
[0006] To achieve the aforementioned objectives, this invention provides a fan device with adjustable airflow direction, comprising a fan body, a fan frame, and an adjustment unit. The fan body has an airflow passage side; the fan frame has a frame portion with a receiving hole, and the fan body is pivotally mounted on the fan frame and located within the receiving hole. The adjustment unit drives the fan body to pivot relative to the fan frame, causing the airflow passage side of the fan body to be tilted within the receiving hole. This changes the airflow direction and can even further increase the range of airflow angles, thereby achieving the aforementioned objectives and effects. Simple Explanation of the Diagram

[0014] To enable your review committee to better understand the features and technical content of this work, please refer to the following detailed description and accompanying drawings. However, the accompanying drawings are provided for reference and illustration only and are not intended to limit this work.
[0015] Please refer to Figures 1, 2, and 3, which are respectively an exploded perspective view, a composite perspective view, and a composite perspective view from another angle of this creation. This creation provides a fan device with adjustable airflow direction, including a fan body 1, a fan frame 2, and an adjustment unit 3; wherein:
[0016] As shown in Figures 1, 3, and 4, the fan body 1 has a fan bearing seat 10, a fan stator 11, and a fan rotor 12. As shown in Figure 4, the fan bearing seat 10 has a base 100, on which a bearing sleeve 101 is provided, and the fan stator 11 is fitted over the bearing sleeve 101. In addition, the fan rotor 12 has a hub 120 and a plurality of fan blades 121 arranged around the hub 120. The hub 120 has a pivot shaft 122 pivotally mounted on the fan bearing seat 10, and the fan bearing seat 10 may have at least one bearing 123 inside the bearing sleeve 101 for pivoting the pivot shaft 122, and at least one magnetic element 124 may be provided inside the hub 120 and spaced apart from the fan stator 11. Meanwhile, the fan stator 11 is electrically connected to a circuit board 110. The circuit board 110 can be fixed to the base 100 through the bearing sleeve 101, so that when the circuit board 110 is energized, the polarity of the fan stator 11 can be changed, and the fan rotor 12 can be driven to run by the principle of magnetic repulsion with the magnetic element 124, thereby driving the airflow to have an airflow passing side F, as shown in Figure 5. The airflow passing side F is the airflow generated by the fan blades 121 driving the air through one side or one side of the fan body 1 or the fan rotor 12 when the fan body 1 or the fan rotor 12 is running.
[0017] Referring again to Figures 1 and 2, the fan frame 2 has a frame portion 20 with a receiving hole 200 for the fan body 1 to be housed therein. Furthermore, the fan frame 2 has two pivot portions 21 located on opposite sides of the receiving hole 200. The fan shaft seat 10 of the fan body 1 also has two support arms 102 extending from the seat portion 100. Each support arm 102 extends a pivot 103, allowing the pivot 103 to be pivotally connected to the frame portion 20 when the fan body 1 is located within the receiving hole 200. In the embodiment described in this invention, a wall 201 surrounds the receiving hole 200 on the frame portion 200. The two pivot portions 21 may be located on the wall 201 (not shown) or connected to the pivot portion 21 by an extension arm 210 and located outside the wall 201.
[0018] As shown in Figures 3 and 5, the adjustment unit 3 can drive the fan body 1 to pivot relative to the fan frame 2, thereby changing the direction of the airflow driven by the fan rotor 12. As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the adjustment unit 3 is a driver that drives a swing arm 30 and a crank 31 to drive the fan body 1 to pivot on the fan frame 2. In the embodiment described in this invention, the two pivots 103 can be a driven pivot 103a and a driven pivot 103b. The crank 31 has a connecting arm 310 connected to the driven pivot 103b as the axis. The connecting arm 310 has a pivot 311 that is pivotally connected to the swing arm 30. Thus, by driving the swing arm 30 to push forward and backward, the crank 31 can be driven to swing, thereby driving the fan body 1 to pivot relative to the fan frame 2. This achieves the purpose of changing or adjusting the airflow direction driven by the fan rotor 12, so that the fan can still adjust its airflow direction or increase the range of airflow angles under the premise that its frame is fixed.
[0019] Therefore, by using the above-mentioned structure, the fan device with adjustable airflow direction of this invention can be obtained.
[0020] Accordingly, as shown in Figure 5, when the swing arm 30 of the adjustment unit 3 is in the center position, the fan body 1 can be controlled to be horizontally or parallel within the receiving hole 200; that is, the airflow direction driven by the fan body 1 at this time is consistent with the position of the fan frame 2 (i.e., the direction in which the fan frame 2 is facing).
[0021] As shown in Figure 6, when the swing arm 30 of the adjustment unit 3 moves in one direction (e.g., pushes forward), the swing arm 30 drives the crank 31 to swing in that direction, causing the fan body 1 to pivot from its active pivot 103b. This allows the fan body 1 to tilt within the receiving hole 200, thereby changing the direction of airflow through side F and thus altering the airflow direction. Simultaneously, as shown in Figure 7, when the swing arm 30 of the adjustment unit 3 moves in another direction (e.g., pushes backward), the tilting state of the fan body 1 within the receiving hole 200 changes to the opposite direction. This further increases the range of airflow angles within the tilting range shown in Figures 6 and 7, making the fan able to blow airflow over a wider range and improving its applicability.
[0022] Therefore, by means of the fan device with adjustable airflow direction of this invention, not only can the fan body 1 be adjusted to any tilt state to provide a more suitable airflow direction at the moment, but also by controlling the forward and backward movement of the adjustment unit 3, airflow within a certain angle range can be provided to improve the applicability and effectiveness of the cooling fan.
[0023] In conclusion, this invention can indeed achieve the intended use described in the aforementioned specification and resolve the deficiencies of conventional technology. Furthermore, due to its novelty and progressiveness, it fully meets the requirements for a utility model patent application. Therefore, this application is filed in accordance with the Patent Act. We respectfully request a thorough review and the granting of this patent to protect the rights of the creator.
