Abstract

This invention provides an autonomous vehicle system incorporating a micro-projector, comprising: an autonomous vehicle, an external micro-projector, a computing module, and a camera. The camera receives environmental images around the autonomous vehicle and transmits these images to the computing module connected to the camera. The computing module then calculates and generates projection information in the form of symbols, images, or text. The external micro-projector is positioned around the autonomous vehicle and contains a micro-display unit connected to the computing module. The computing module transmits the generated projection information to the micro-display unit, which projects the information through the external micro-projector. This allows road users to see whether the autonomous vehicle needs to turn or yield to pedestrians, increasing road users' attention to the autonomous vehicle and enhancing nighttime driving safety by reducing the probability of accidents caused by poor visibility.

Claims

1. An unmanned vehicle system incorporating a micro-projector, comprising: an external micro-projector having a micro-display unit inside for displaying projection information of the form of symbols, images, text, or lights; an unmanned vehicle, wherein the external micro-projector is positioned around the unmanned vehicle and projects the projection information around the unmanned vehicle for inspection by pedestrians; a computing module connected to the external micro-projector, the computing module generating the content of the projection information and controlling the external micro-projector to project; and a camera mounted on the unmanned vehicle and connected to the computing module, enabling the camera to monitor the environmental images around the unmanned vehicle in real time, input the environmental images into the computing module, calculate and generate relevant content, and combine it with the projection information for projection display.

2. The unmanned vehicle system incorporating a micro-projector as described in claim 1, wherein, The driverless car is equipped with an in-vehicle micro-projector, which contains a miniature display unit to display projected information such as symbols, images, text, or lights for passengers to view.

3. The unmanned vehicle system incorporating a micro-projector as described in claim 1, wherein, The computing module is connected to an artificial intelligence module to enhance the content recognition of the environmental image.

4. The unmanned vehicle system incorporating a micro-projector as described in claim 1, wherein, The computing module is connected to a navigation module to combine route information with the projection information for projection.

5. The unmanned vehicle system incorporating a micro-projector as described in claim 1, wherein, The computing module is connected to an external device, which can be a mobile phone, tablet, smart wearable device or other smart device. The computing module is operated through the external device to project the image.
