Abstract
Claims
1. A multi-functional lock for the steering stem of a scooter, comprising: a steering stem; a folding seat having an upper seat and a lower seat, the upper seat being fixed to the bottom end of the steering stem and pivotally connected to the lower seat; a quick-release mechanism assembled to the folding seat, the quick-release mechanism having a lever and a locking assembly, the lever being connected to the locking assembly, and by operating the lever to move the locking assembly, the upper seat and the lower seat of the folding seat can be selectively placed in a fixed or pivotally rotatable state; and an inner retaining ring fixed to a position near the bottom end of the steering stem, the inner retaining ring having at least one through hole. An outer movable ring is disposed around the inner fixed ring. The outer movable ring forms a plurality of locking holes and a limiting hook portion. The limiting hook portion is formed by protruding outward from the outer peripheral surface of the outer movable ring. The outer movable ring is rotatable relative to the inner fixed ring, such that any of the locking holes aligns with the through hole of the inner fixed ring, and the limiting hook portion moves to a position surrounding or away from the lever of the quick-release mechanism; and a lock has a bolt that can selectively pass through one of the locking holes of the outer movable ring simultaneously, or separate from one of the locking holes of the outer movable ring.
2. The multi-functional lock for the steering stem of the scooter as claimed in claim 1, wherein the upper seat of the folding seat has a first pivot portion, the lower seat has a second pivot portion, the lever of the quick-release mechanism has a third pivot portion, and the first pivot portion, the second pivot portion and the third pivot portion are connected by a pivot member.
3. The multi-functional lock for the steering stem of the scooter as claimed in claim 1, wherein the locking assembly of the quick-release mechanism includes a transition block, a first actuator, a second actuator and a locking block, the lever is connected to the first actuator through the transition block, the first actuator is connected to the second actuator, one end of the second actuator is connected to the locking block, and the locking block is connected to the folding seat and is pivotable relative to the upper seat.
4. The multi-functional lock for the steering stem of the scooter as described in claim 3, wherein one end of the locking block forms a hook portion, the lower seat of the folding seat forms a slot, and the other end of the locking block is pivotally connected to the upper seat of the folding seat through a pin, wherein when the lever of the quick-release mechanism fixes the upper seat and the lower seat in a fixed state, the hook portion of the locking block is engaged in the slot of the lower seat.
5. The multi-functional lock for the steering riser of the scooter as described in claim 1, wherein a limiting groove is formed in the inner circumferential surface of the outer movable ring, and a protrusion is formed in the outer circumferential surface of the inner fixed ring, the protrusion being located within the limiting groove.
6. The multi-functional lock for the steering riser of the scooter as claimed in claim 1, wherein the lock further comprises a lock seat and an unlocking assembly, the lock seat assembly being connected to the upper seat of the folding seat and accommodating the bolt and the unlocking assembly, the unlocking assembly being connected to the bolt to actuate the bolt.
7. The multi-functional lock for the steering riser of the scooter as claimed in claim 6, wherein the lock further comprises a linkage latch that is received within the lock seat and connected to the bolt.
