Abstract

An ice-making device includes a housing, two supports, an ice-making wheel unit, and a blade. The two supports are spaced apart from each other in the housing. The ice-making wheel unit is disposed on the two supports. The ice-making wheel unit includes an ice-making wheel located between the two supports and rotatable relative to the two supports about an axis, and two anti-freeze end caps respectively connected to both sides of the ice-making wheel. The ice-making wheel has an outer peripheral surface. The ice-making wheel is cooled by a refrigerant fluid, causing the raw material adhering to the outer peripheral surface to solidify into an ice layer. The thermal conductivity of the material of the two anti-freeze end caps is lower than that of the material of the ice-making wheel. The blade is parallel to the axis, spans across the two supports, and is adjacent to and spaced apart from the outer peripheral surface of the ice-making wheel, thereby scraping off the ice layer on the outer peripheral surface.

Claims

1. An ice-making device, comprising: a housing; two supports spaced apart from each other in the housing; an ice-making wheel unit disposed on the two supports, the ice-making wheel unit including an ice-making wheel located between the two supports and rotatable relative to the two supports about an axis, and two antifreeze end caps respectively connected to both sides of the ice-making wheel, the ice-making wheel having an outer peripheral surface, the ice-making wheel being cooled by a refrigerant fluid, causing the raw material adhering to the outer peripheral surface to solidify into an ice layer, the thermal conductivity of the material of the two antifreeze end caps being lower than the thermal conductivity of the material of the ice-making wheel; and a blade parallel to the axis, spanning the two supports, adjacent to and spaced apart from the outer peripheral surface of the ice-making wheel, capable of scraping off the ice layer on the outer peripheral surface.

2. The ice-making apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein, The ice-making wheel is made of metal, and each of the antifreeze end caps is made of plastic.

3. The ice-making apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein, The ice-making wheel also has two sides that are respectively connected to the two sides of the outer peripheral surface, and the two antifreeze end caps cover the two sides respectively.

4. The ice-making apparatus as claimed in claim 3, wherein, Each of the antifreeze end caps has an inner side surface and an annular flange portion that protrudes from the outer periphery of the inner side surface toward the ice-making wheel. The ice-making wheel also has two annular recesses that are recessed from the outer periphery of the two sides and respectively engage with the two annular flange portions.

5. The ice-making apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein, Each of the antifreeze end caps has an inner surface and a plurality of annular grooves recessed from the inner surface toward the direction away from the ice-making wheel and concentrically surrounding the axis.

6. The ice-making apparatus as claimed in claim 1, each of the antifreeze end caps having a through hole for the corresponding bracket to pass through.

7. The ice-making apparatus as claimed in claim 6, wherein, Each of the antifreeze end caps also has an outer side surface and an annular protrusion that protrudes from the outer side surface in a direction away from the outer side surface and surrounds the through hole.

8. The ice-making apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein, Each of the brackets includes a pivot and a plate through which the pivot extends, the thermal conductivity of the material of the two plates being less than that of the material of the ice wheel.
