Abstract
Claims
1. An Ethernet connector, comprising: An insulating base has a plurality of terminal slots inside for a plurality of conductive terminals to pass through, and a mating space communicating with the terminal slot at the mating portion corresponding to the conductive terminal. The mating portion of the conductive terminal extends to a fixing portion for being secured in the terminal slot, and the fixing portion turns downward to form an exposed welding portion. A cover is engaged and positioned at the terminal slot of the insulating base. The cover has a cover plate and the cover plate extends to a plurality of abutting bodies that abut against the fixing portions of the conductive terminals.
2. The Ethernet connector as described in claim 1, wherein the insulating base is further provided with a shielding shell, the shielding shell including a body and the body having an accommodating space for receiving the insulating base, and the body extending to one side having a bendable sealing plate covering the outside of the cover, and having a plurality of abutting springs bent inward and abutting against a pre-set mating connector on both sides and the bottom of the body.

The Ethernet connector as claimed in claim 2, wherein the shielding housing has two outwardly folded positioning spring arms formed on the other side relative to the cover plate, each of the two positioning spring arms extending downward to a positioning pin that can be inserted into a solder hole in an external circuit board, and the cover plate extending downward to have at least one pin that can be inserted into the solder hole in the external circuit board.
4. The Ethernet connector as described in claim 2, wherein the shielding housing has a lug extending to both sides of the sealing plate and the lug has a snap groove inside, and the two sides of the body are provided with snap blocks that can be engaged in the two snap grooves.
5. The Ethernet connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein the insulating base includes an assembly located outside the terminal slots and a mating body located outside the mating space, and a plurality of positioning pins protruding from the bottom side of the assembly for insertion into a plurality of positioning holes in an external circuit board.
6. The Ethernet connector as described in claim 5, wherein the top surface of the assembly of the insulating base is recessed with a groove, and the top side of the shielding housing is provided with a guide block that can slide and be positioned in the groove.
7. The Ethernet connector as described in claim 5, wherein the assembly of the insulating base is recessed on both sides with a positioning groove, and the shielding housing is provided with stop plates protruding inward on both sides, which abut against the two positioning grooves.
8. The Ethernet connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cover plate of the cover is provided with a plurality of positioning blocks protruding on the top and bottom sides, and the terminal slot of the insulating base is recessed at the top and bottom sides corresponding to the positioning blocks to form a locking portion.
9. The Ethernet connector as claimed in claim 8, wherein the cover has grooves formed between adjacent positioning blocks on the top and bottom sides, and the terminal slot of the insulating base has outwardly protruding limiting portions on the top and bottom sides corresponding to these grooves.
10. The Ethernet connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cover has a positioning rib protruding on its inner wall surface that can engage with the engagement portions on both sides of the terminal slots of the insulating base.
