Abstract

A multi-functional terminal block crimping tool includes a first handle with a first grip portion and a first connecting portion at its two ends, connected by a pivot hole between them, and a first positioning post at the first grip portion; a second handle with a second grip portion and a second connecting portion at its two ends, connected by a pivot hole between them to pivotally engage the first handle, and a second positioning post at the second grip portion; a first crimping member, the middle section of which is pivotally connected to the first connecting portion, and a first sliding hole near the end of the first handle for sliding of the first positioning post; and a second crimping member, the middle section of which is pivotally connected to the second connecting portion, and a second sliding hole near the end of the second handle for sliding of the second positioning post. The first and second crimping members are respectively provided with a wire pressing block, a crimping groove, and a wire unwinding clamp, and a spring is installed between the first and second crimping members to open them apart. This invention integrates various crimping functions required for a multi-functional terminal block.

Claims

1. A crimping tool for a multifunctional terminal block, comprising: a first handle, having a first grip portion and a first connecting portion at its two ends respectively, the first handle having a pivot hole at a position between the first grip portion and the first connecting portion, the first connecting portion having a first connecting hole, and the first grip portion having a first positioning post; a second handle, having a second grip portion and a second connecting portion at its two ends respectively, the second handle having a pivot hole at a position between the second grip portion and the second connecting portion, the first handle and the second handle being pivotally connected by overlapping each of the pivot holes, the second connecting portion having a second connecting hole, and the second grip portion having a second positioning post; A first pressing component has a first rotating hole in its middle section and a first sliding hole near one end of the first handle. The first pressing component is pivotally connected to the first connecting hole via the first rotating hole, and a first positioning post is located inside the first sliding hole, thereby limiting the rotation range of the first pressing component. The first pressing component has a first wire pressing block, a first pressing groove, and a first wire unloading clamp from its middle section toward one end away from the first handle. A second pressing component has a second rotating hole in its middle section and a second sliding hole near one end of the second handle. The second pressing component is pivotally connected to the first connecting hole via the second rotating hole. The second positioning post is located inside the second sliding hole, so that the rotation range of the second pressing member is limited by the positioning post. The second pressing member is provided with a second pressing block, a second pressing groove and a second unloading clamp from the middle section to the end away from the second handle. The first pressing block and the second pressing block are arranged opposite to each other, the first pressing groove and the second pressing groove are arranged opposite to each other, and the first unloading clamp and the second unloading clamp are arranged opposite to each other. A spring is installed between the first pressing member and the second pressing member to constantly push the first pressing member and the second pressing member outward.

2. The pressing tool for the multi-functional terminal block as described in claim 1, wherein one end of the spring is coupled between the first rotating hole and the first sliding hole, and the other end of the spring is coupled between the second rotating hole and the second sliding hole.

3. The crimping tool for the multi-functional terminal block as described in claim 1, wherein the first handle is provided with a receiving groove at the pivot hole, and the pivot hole is located within the receiving groove.

4. The crimping tool for the multi-functional terminal block as described in claim 1, wherein the top of the first crimping block is straight, the top of the second crimping block is an arc-shaped groove, and the width of the second crimping block is smaller than that of the first crimping block.

The crimping tool for the multi-functional terminal block as described in claim 1, wherein the bottoms of the first crimping groove and the second crimping groove are straight lines, the bottom of the first crimping groove forms a right angle with the side of the first wire ejector clamp and the side of the first wire pressing block, and the bottom of the second crimping groove forms a right angle with the side of the second wire ejector clamp and the side of the second wire pressing block.

6. The crimping tool for the multi-functional terminal block as described in claim 1, wherein the first wire ejector extends toward the second crimping member and the second wire ejector extends toward the first crimping member.

7. The crimping tool for the multi-functional terminal block as described in claim 1, wherein the distance between the first crimping block and the second crimping block is less than the distance between the first crimping groove and the second crimping groove.

8. The crimping tool for the multi-functional terminal block as described in claim 1, wherein a fixing clamp is rotatably provided at the bottom end of the second grip portion, the fixing clamp selectively engaging the first grip portion.

9. The pressing tool for the multi-functional terminal block as described in claim 1, wherein the first sliding hole and the second sliding hole are each an elongated hole.
