Abstract

A cushioning structure for a baseball chest protector, wherein the cushioning pad is disposed between the surface and bottom layers of the baseball chest protector, and is made of EVA foam or other elastic foam material; a plurality of protective plates are disposed on the front side of the surface layer or on the front side of the cushioning pad, and the protective plates are combined with inert foam for initial absorption and dispersion of impact force; characterized in that: the cushioning pad is a one-piece molded structure, and a plurality of interconnected protrusions are formed on its front side, the protrusions including but not limited to quadrangular pyramids, and the protrusions are spaced apart to form a plurality of shock-absorbing groove spaces, so that the impact force can be further absorbed and dispersed when the baseball is hit; due to the above structure of the cushioning pad, the protective plates can be designed to be thinner and the overall weight can be reduced, while the user still maintains flexibility, fit and comfort when wearing it.

Claims

1. A cushioning structure for a baseball chest protector, wherein the baseball chest protector system comprises at least: A top layer comprising at least one top layer fabric, with a first thin layer adhered to the back of the top layer fabric, the first thin layer being made of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), cross-linked polyethylene foam (XLPE Foam), or thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) foam board; a bottom layer comprising at least one bottom layer fabric, with a second thin layer adhered to the front of the bottom layer fabric, the second thin layer being made of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), cross-linked polyethylene foam (XLPE Foam), or thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) foam board; at least one cushioning pad, being a three-dimensional structure made of foam material and manufactured by injection molding, hot pressing, or cold pressing, and disposed between the top layer and the bottom layer; and several protective sheets, being made of polyethylene (PE), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS), polycarbonate (PC), acrylic, polypropylene (PP), or nylon, respectively disposed in front of the top layer; The feature is that: a plurality of interconnected protrusions are formed on the front side of the buffer pad, and each protrusion is spaced apart to form a plurality of shock-absorbing groove spaces. The protrusions undergo elastic deformation when subjected to impact force, so as to have the functions of buffering and pressure dispersion.

2. The cushioning structure of a baseball chest protector as described in claim 1, wherein the raised structure of the cushioning pad is a cone, a hemispherical body, a square pyramid, a triangular pyramid, a pointed cone, or a multifaceted cone.

3. A cushioning structure for a baseball chest protector, wherein the baseball chest protector system includes at least: One surface layer, comprising at least one surface layer fabric; A bottom layer, comprising at least one bottom fabric, with a first thin layer adhered to the front of the bottom fabric, the first thin layer being made of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), cross-linked polyethylene foam (XLPE Foam), or thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) foam board; at least one cushioning pad, a three-dimensional structure made of foam material and formed by injection molding, hot pressing, or cold pressing, and disposed between the top layer and the bottom layer; at least one protective sheet, made of polyethylene (PE), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS), polycarbonate (PC), acrylic, polypropylene (PP), or nylon, disposed in front of the cushioning pad, and with an inert foam (low bounce foam) provided in front of the protective sheet; characterized in that: The front side of the buffer pad has a plurality of interconnected protrusions, and the protrusions are spaced apart to form a plurality of shock-absorbing grooves. The protrusions undergo elastic deformation when subjected to impact, thereby providing cushioning and pressure dispersion.

4. The cushioning structure of a baseball chest protector as described in claim 3, wherein the raised structure of the cushioning pad is a cone, a hemispherical body, a square pyramid, a triangular pyramid, a pointed cone, or a multifaceted cone.
