Abstract

A modular fiber optic adapter assembly includes one or more main units, one or more partition units corresponding to the main units, and one or more assembly units corresponding to the main units. Each main unit includes a base, a housing located above the base along a height direction, and a connecting plate extending along the height direction connecting the base and the housing. When multiple main units are used, the housing of each main unit is integrally connected to the base of another main unit. The assembly itself is a multi-layered structure, with each layer providing two slots on the same side, and can be combined with other components through the assembly units, thus allowing for more flexible configuration of fiber optic adapters with the required number of slots.

Claims

1. An assembly of a combinable fiber optic adapter, comprising: a plurality of main units interconnected along a height direction, each main unit including a base, a housing located above the base along the height direction, and a connecting plate extending along the height direction and connecting the base and the housing, the housing of the main unit being integrally connected to the base of another adjacent main unit, the base and the housing cooperating to define a mounting space extending along a front-rear direction perpendicular to the height direction, the connecting plate dividing the corresponding mounting space into two mounting regions spaced apart along the front-rear direction, the connecting plate having two through-holes communicating with the mounting regions along the front-rear direction, the through-holes being spaced apart from each other laterally along a direction perpendicular to the height direction and the front-rear direction; A plurality of partition units are respectively disposed on the main body units. Each partition unit includes a partition block that protrudes upward from the base along the height direction and is located laterally between the openings, and a partition plate that protrudes from the housing towards the partition block and is located laterally between the openings. The partition block and the partition plate extend through the connecting plate along the front-rear direction and are located within the installation area, defining two slots that extend along the front-rear direction and communicate with one of the openings in each installation area; and a plurality of connecting units are respectively disposed on the main body units.
